You will actually talk to someone at HQ and the customer service representative will ask what type of service you would need. I chose one-time service as a private customer, they do business service as well. The rep asked about how much do I think I will have to shred. She was very helpful and told me it would be cheaper to bring the documents to the designated location she will provide and it is a flat rate of $75 per 95 gallon bin. Hey that was a no brained since on-site shredding is more expensive. Plus they can provide a Certificate of Destruction for verification. She then asked for my zip code and gave me the closest location which is in Ladson and provided the address. There is no direct phone number probably for security purposes. Hey I loaded up 5 bags to shred and drove to Shred-it. Location is very secure. The front door is locked so you have to knock to get buzzed in. You tell them what you have and fill out 1 sheet of paper provide your credit card and then you are directed where to take your documents. So I drive around the building through open security gate and a gentleman rolls out a 95 gallon bin we load everything into it and he takes it inside their location and I drive off. Total time at this location is less than 15 minutes very well oiled machine!! Shred-it you get 5 Stars !!

When I attempted to address the issue, I was assisted by Kim, who was in charge at the time, and the interaction was uncomfortable. She appeared impatient, spoke in a raised tone to the point that I had to ask her to lower her voice and interrupted my attempts to explain the situation, even in front of other customers.I asked to speak with a manager and also requested her name. In an arrogant manner, she stated her name was Kim, informed me that the manager would only be available the following day, and even spelled her name in front of other customers, which made the situation more embarrassing.I would like to note that the initial service when I dropped off my order the day before, assisted by a very kind employee, was professional. However, this later experience with Kim was quite disappointing. I explained to Kim that there was no need to treat me that way, as customers should not be addressed in such a manner. I hope this feedback contributes to improvements in both service quality and customer care at this location.

This review is about their customer service phone operator that most likely works from home and her unwillingness to solve the issue. I was bypassed and I can understand, the guys are on a tight schedule and they did my block but bypassed me and because I knew they were still in the neighborhood I called their office to see if she could communicate with the driver to tel him to go back and pick up my trash. After asking a lot of questions she said they would come back the days after, seriously? I am going out of town and my trash can would have to be on my sidewalk for a whole week possibly with a note from the HOA Minus 25 stars to her for being rude and unwilling to fix a minute mistake. I had to go and find the truck in my neighborhood and ask them to go back, if you own this business talk to her and make her change her attitude and let know that this time my check could have been 3 weeks late on her account

Leaving this review is going to do nothing because they are so large and you cannot just go to another trash company. But my boyfriend works for another waste company and if they skip a can they are sent right back out. No excuses they go back out. Even if they have cleaned the truck and parked it. So when my can is skipped on Friday, I call Friday before they close. They say they will send a Saturday truck. When the Saturday truck doesn't come you are forced to wait until Monday. Well the Monday truck doesn't come either. This whole cycle continues until Thursday. They come Thursday for the trash they missed from the previous Friday. I put one bag from that day in and they didn't pick it up again Friday. I said to hell with it it's one bag. Then the next Friday rolls around and I'M SKIPPED AGAIN!!! I call and call and call they say that I'm in the route. HOW ARE DRIVERS ALLOWED TO CLOCK OUT WITHOUT FINISHING THEIR JOB?!? CONTINUOUSLY!!!! Now I'm moving out of that place and into an apartment. I set a bulk pick up order and they PROMISED me it would be done Friday. Surprise surprise it wasn't! I'm now waiting for a supervisor (still waiting for them to call me from last week) because if it's not done I'm getting fined through my property management company. And I will be sending them the bill because that is not my fault. I did everything correctly.
