I was in desperate need to get documents to Medicaid New Jersey. This store 6209? allowed for faxes to come to them re: insurance from 3 different companies, ltr. from pension, etc. they allowed me to put everything together and faxed out to the Family First Office. This is a nice UPS Store located in Meadowmont Village. Store #6209. It's clean and pleasant. This is the go-to UPS Store in the Triangle for my wife and me because of its proximity to our Chapel Hill home. There are two other UPS Stores in Chapel Hill, one on Fordham Blvd and another on the north side of town on 86 near I-40. I've come to this UPS Store to return a gift I had received via Amazon. The UPS Store and Amazon have a partnership to make returning items very easy. I scanned the QR code that came with the gift, tapped through a few prompts to start the return process, was emailed a QR code for a UPS Store employee to scan, and resealed the box. The UPS Store took care of the rest. When the UPS Store employee scanned the QR code on my phone, it allowed them to print the return shipping label at the store. I didn't have to do it at home. Amazon continues to make things easier and more convenient for its customers. UPS Store receipt info included drop-off date and time, estimated pickup date, tracking number, service (UPS Ground in this case), and weight. My wife has shipped gift-wrapped gifts from this store. The UPS Store employees will do the packing for you. For 12x12x12 standard packing materials, the cost was $10.45 plus $2.00 for the standard packing service, then the actual shipping cost on top of that ($24.83 total for this package shipped via Ground Residential with tracking). We also routinely drop off Nespresso Capsules Recycling Bags here. We're always in and out in a flash. The employees are smart and efficient. This location has two registers and customer volume has always been light during our visits. If they see us with a Nespresso bag, they let us skip the line to drop-off. This is a relatively smaller UPS Store, but it still offers many useful services such as notary, shredding, mailboxes with real street addresses, copying, printing (including large-format printing for things like posters and banners), packing (and packing supplies), and even luggage shipping so you don't have to deal with baggage fees, and you get guaranteed delivery (no lost bags). They sell greeting cards too. All in all, this is a very solid and reliable UPS Store location. Recommended. If only they were open on Sunday too. read more

I'm not usually one to write reviews about UPS stores...but this one deserves a special shout-out. Every time I come to this location, I am promptly greeted by one of the many friendly staff members and taken care of promptly. The owner, Eddie, is incredibly nice and helpful. The staff has put consideration into social distancing and safety protocols, which I very much appreciate. Additionally, this is a USPS dropoff point as well. My notarized confidential documents were lost and not delivered on the day I requested. Neither this UPS Store nor the UPS corporation will take responsibility, and both have refused to issue a refund. So I paid for notary services and shipping, but didn't receive the benefit of either service, and they want to keep my money. The UPS Store also, apparently, is not UPS - as I was informed by a highly sarcastic and unhelpful person on the phone. "I'm not shipping anything here," were her exact words. I went here because a local shipping store didn't open until 10am, so I drove a little further and found this UPS Store. Luckily it opened at 8am, and I received phenomenal service from Chris. The store was very clean and pleasant, and the staff was very helpful. Giving a good review was made an even easier choice because UPS recently stopped donating to the discriminatory Boy Scouts of America. BSA doesn't only discriminate against gay people, but non-theists (like me!) as well. I'm very glad UPS has dropped their support for this discriminatory organization and can use the money instead for better causes. read more

I rarely write a review but I had such outstanding service by Eddie at UPS Store #6209 in Meadowmont Village in Chapel Hill, NC. I needed to ship a large painting in a wooden crate 8'x3.5' weighing 150 lbs. Eddie found a freight company to pick up the crate and deliver it to NYC. He even came to my home when it was picked up to make sure it was handled correctly. I returned a package with this UPS and it ended up back on my doorstep 3 days later. I took the package back to the UPS with my original receipt and explained what happened. The woman at the counter was extremely rude and repeatedly said "she had no idea why it would end up back at my house." I explained that I had the receipt that I dropped it off, so likely the employee working forgot to put the shipping label on the box. The employee began raising her voice and calling me "ma'am" condescendingly instead of just apologizing for their mistake. I asked if they could just reprint the shipping label and she said that was between me and Amazon. Finally she printed a new label and took back my package. I'm not upset the package ended up back at my place, but more so because there was no apology issued for me having to come back twice plus I was met with aggravation and condescending tone. read more

LIES about opening time. Stopped by this morning at 8AM. Waited 20 minutes. No one showed. Had to leave because some of us have to be at work on time. NEVER AGAIN. So, I went back against better judgment because I HAD to get packages out. I asked for simple rate shipping. "Oh, we don't have simple rate." So I had to ship regular rate. $100 and 3 boxes later I shipped out. Looking later at the website.... they clearly have simple rate boxes that ship for a flat fee. Just visited this store and was appalled that the staff are not following guidelines for social distancing. The store is littered with bogus displays that take up valuable space and should be removed so that customers can maintain proper distance from others and from staff. None of the staff are wearing masks or other protective gear and they approach customers within a few feet, including meeting them at a table at the center of the store and conducting business from 1-2 feet away. There is a plastic shield that only partially covers the main counter but the employs don't stand behind it, choosing instead to move around the shield to conduct business face-to-face from less than 1 foot away with customers, some of whom are not wearing masks as advised. This store feels very dangerous. I will not go back! read more

UPS is the absolute worst shipping company! I paid for 2 day air on a package, got confirmation emails that it would be on time and the day of delivery get an email stating it would be another 3 days. When I call to inquire I'm told that the high volume for the holidays is to blame, meanwhile the tracking info shows the package sat in their facility for 2 days. Now my math says it's impossible to ship a package in 2 days when it sits in a warehouse for 2 days, no matter what holiday it is. If you can't meet the obligations then you shouldn't sell the option! $50 dollars in shipping for 2 day air and it's going to arrive the same time as a $7 ground package. read more

If you are a Veteran or family member of one that uses the USAA Easy Deposit feature, DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! I work next door and have used this location for over a year to make Easy Deposits. Well, I have used their other services while attempting to make a deposit. Very rarely am I actually able to make a deposit. I deposit 3 checks a week and out of a months worth of attempts at this location, maybe 1 or 2 will get deposited. Every excuse in the book has been given to me, but I can drive on down to Meadowmont's UPS Store and make the deposit in under a minute. The owner of this location has a few more locations in Durham. Usually when I get turned away at his Chapel Hill UPS Store because "the system is down"... I can make a deposit at his other stores with zero problems. In 2 years, I have never had to drive to another UPS Location for an Easy Deposit except from this Chapel Hill location. Please, save yourself and your family some time and money. It will only be wasted coming to this location, only to drive somewhere else. With such a high failure rate, the owner should not even offer this service. read more
