Outside. Storefront. Located at Meadowmont Village.

This is a nice UPS Store located in Meadowmont Village. Store #6209. It's clean and pleasant. This is the go-to UPS Store in the Triangle for my wife and me because of its proximity to our Chapel Hill home. There are two other UPS Stores in Chapel Hill, one on Fordham Blvd and another on the north side of town on 86 near I-40. I've come to this UPS Store to return a gift I had received via Amazon. The UPS Store and Amazon have a partnership to make returning items very easy. I scanned the QR code that came with the gift, tapped through a few prompts to start the return process, was emailed a QR code for a UPS Store employee to scan, and resealed the box. The UPS Store took care of the rest. When the UPS Store employee scanned the QR code on my phone, it allowed them to print the return shipping label at the store. I didn't have to do it at home. Amazon continues to make things easier and more convenient for its customers. UPS Store receipt info included drop-off date and time, estimated pickup date, tracking number, service (UPS Ground in this case), and weight. My wife has shipped gift-wrapped gifts from this store. The UPS Store employees will do the packing for you. For 12x12x12 standard packing materials, the cost was $10.45 plus $2.00 for the standard packing service, then the actual shipping cost on top of that ($24.83 total for this package shipped via Ground Residential with tracking). We also routinely drop off Nespresso Capsules Recycling Bags here. We're always in and out in a flash. The employees are smart and efficient. This location has two registers and customer volume has always been light during our visits. If they see us with a Nespresso bag, they let us skip the line to drop-off. This is a relatively smaller UPS Store, but it still offers many useful services such as notary, shredding, mailboxes with real street addresses, copying, printing (including large-format printing for things like posters and banners), packing (and packing supplies), and even luggage shipping so you don't have to deal with baggage fees, and you get guaranteed delivery (no lost bags). They sell greeting cards too. All in all, this is a very solid and reliable UPS Store location. Recommended. If only they were open on Sunday too.

This UPS Store is located in the Gateway Terrace shopping center, next to Freddy's. It's not directly accessible from 15-501. You have to enter the shopping center from the back. This isn't my normal UPS Store. I stopped here because it was convenient to other errands I happened to be running in the area. I had a package of Nespresso capsules for recycling. The package was sealed and ready to ship with a prepaid UPS shipping label. I normally drop these in a UPS drop box, but this particular package was too big to fit into a drop box. The employee weighed it, scanned it, and handed me a receipt. The last time I dropped off one of these Nespresso packages at a UPS Store (different location), the staff just took it from me and that was it. This store's method was more thorough, but took more time. Instead of being in and out in seconds, I was in and out in minutes. Not a big deal. Fast, either way. I visited on a Saturday around 2:30pm. There were two employees working up front and they were firing on all cylinders. During my brief visit, the store was moderately busy and the staff churned through customers at a good pace. On Saturdays, this location closes at 4:00pm (as of the time of my visit). Keep in mind UPS Store hours vary by location.

This location opens and closes one hour later than the Meadowmont location: 9:00am-7:30pm, Monday-Friday and 10:00am-5:00pm, Saturday. Both locations are closed on Sunday. If I need to go to the UPS Store after the Meadowmont location has closed for the day, I will come to this one. (The Fordham Blvd location in Chapel Hill has the same hours as Meadowmont.) I came here and dropped off a bag of used Nespresso pods to be recycled. The bag had a prepaid shipping label on it. The UPS Store employee gave me a drop-off package receipt (standard). During my visit around 4:30pm on a Saturday, the store was busy with a socially-distant line outside and everyone mask-compliant. There were two employees and only two to four customers inside the store at a time. The employees were polite. They worked fast and efficiently. This is UPS Store #5399. It's sandwiched between four businesses. The parking lot in front can get congested. I suggest parking around the corner on the other side of Mattress Firm. It's much easier to pull in and out there.
