Horrible experience all around with UPS and this franchise 4974 Kingsway. 1 - UPS doesn't always attempt to deliver. I work from home and am reachable by phone all day. My phone and buzzer numbers are clearly written on every package, on address line 2 and additional info. I get no calls but UPS says "unable to deliver" or "recipient not available" and sticks a door tag outside my residence. 2 - The door tag says "available for pickup after 1300 next day." I brought the tag around 1800 the next day and was told it's not ready yet. So I have to come back the next next day. 3 - The package was addressed to my partner. I have ID with the same address, shipping tag, tracking number, and release code from shipper. According to UPS Canada online FAQs, this is acceptable. They refused me and wanted the ID of the recipient. As a franchise representing UPS, this location made up their own rules. Apart from wasting my time, the manager was exceptionally rude to me and walked away. Rarely have I experienced such poor and blatantly disrespectful service. Unfortunately, you cannot select which delivery service is used when placing an online order. However, you can register for UPS My Choice and select a different access point that packages will be shipped to, so you can avoid this location. read more

I went to this UPS store and the older asian female and male working behind the counter were absolutely rude and wouldn't send my parcel because I declined to initial their form, which she had hand written that 'I'm ok if my parcel is delayed' but pay PRIORITY SHIPPING. I've sent out many parcels and legal documents through UPS and haven't encountered anything like this before...and what makes it worse is, she kept my form with all of my personal information. If I can give 0 I'd give 0. Gave the Asian gentlemen the tracking number and the gentlemen went to the back to check for the package. The Asian lady who was on the phone since I stepped into the store got off her phone and told me to come back tomorrow cuz they are busy (I'm the only one in the store). I said I've been helped and the gentleman is looking for my package. She said with a straight face "I've been told by him to take care of this" while pointing at me. At no point did she talk to the gentlemen at all. I said again that the gentleman is looking for my package already. She literally said there is no way, cuz he is busy and he won't be looking for my package. This is my 2nd time in the store as the first time was a few years ago, when I asked for a piece of tape on the table to seal my box, the same lady said they don't have tape in the store. I had the worst experience at this store. I went to pick up on Nov 26, 2025 around 12:30 pm. The lady was there but not happy to see me. She said she is eating lunch. I waited a little and she came to the counter. I gave her the tracking number but it turned out it was for a previous shipment. I found another tracking number but she impatiently said- "track it online'". I said I don't know how to do tracking. She was very rude and kept saying that I must do the 'tracking'. I am a senior with chronic back pain so I don't want to have to come back. Plus, UPS is the worst courir They never deliver the package to my building. The only option is to pick up at a UPS location which unfortunately for me is this location. I went back 2 days later hoping there will be a different worker. First she served everyone who came after me. When I asked her, she refused to serve me or give me my package. Then she told me she would call the police because I was disrupting her clients. I will not go back to this store again ever and will just let them return my 2 packages. It was a Philippine woman in her 50s. I read other reviews and found out her name is Ann. Try to avoid this store at all costs!!! I called UPS to complain that this woman illegally withheld my package. They told me they will deliver to my building. I've never experienced this kind of staff/ people. I had my parcel addressed to my son's place near Metrotown as I will be there for a week. Unfortunately, they missed the delivery at their house before my arrival. The envelope has my name on it, but with my son's address. So i went down at this store with the pick up notice. The women/ staff, 2 of them won't release my parcel as they want me to produce an ID with exact name and address as in the envelope I explained everything but to no avail. At this point I was already agitated and asked them What should I do. They told me to call the sender. I raised my voice telling them , that other courier incl.Canada post releases items as long as you have the slip. Then so called manager accused me of being abusive and they called police.She screamed "I do not want to see your face again and get out of theis store" I don't understand why these Filipino women stil got a job here, very unprofessional!!The owner should readd and act on all of the reviews. read more

They really need to learn how to communicate their instructions properly and respectfully. My job is not to do their packing for them -- it's their responsibility to educate their customers clearly. I had a really bad experience with Ann, and it was obvious they didn't care to make things right. If they could simply be a little nicer when explaining things, customers would be more willing to cooperate. Great Experience at this store. The sales person will not try to upsell you stuff that you don't need. We came here to mail a package to Victoria. We do know it is cheaper to bring the package over there ourself but we just don't have the time. Lost insurance cost $4 for each $100 of the item value. The item we were shipping is about 2.5 lb so the total cost was about $140. The sales person explained everything very thoroughly to us. She said she will prepare and package the item for us. This was perfect. She said a tracking number will be emailed to us at the end of the day. The tracking number will come from an email that is not UPS but from itracker. We appreciated her telling us this. This way we won't accidentally delete the mail thinking it was scam. Best of all this store has 2 - 10 mins parking spot out front. We showed up at a perfect timing and there was no line up. When we left the store did get quite busy. read more

I received a delivery notice with an address that doesn't come up as a UPS store. I drive there anyway in case it's just not updated on Google. Nope, there is a korean restaurant and coin laundry. I google the closest UPS store and it's a few blocks away. Surely this was just a typo on the delivery notice. To be sure, I call this store. I ask the person on the phone if the address written had a typo. She said "it's not my store, I can't help you". I bit taken back, i explain to her that I went to the address and there is no UPS store, so it's possible it may be at her store. She insists that it's not her problem. I ask for her name and if I can speak to her supervisor. She responds "my name is Marrissa, I'm the store manager and I don't have time to help you" *CLICK* She just hung up. I sat in my car for a minute and decided to call back (no answer twice). Maybe they are super swamped and short staffed? I'm convinced it could be at this store even though the manager won't hear me out so i go there. At the very least maybe I could get some guidance. I get in the store and there is no one in there, it's dead. I'm the only one in the store.... I walk up to the counter and hand the delivery notice directly to Marissa. There was no way at this point she would know it was me on the phone but she immediately tells me that it's not here and she can't help me. *** Did I wrong this woman in another life ??? *** Now i'm pretty annoyed and since she can't hang up on me again I explain again to her that I went to the address and there is no UPS store, so it's possible it may be at her store. She then says "Sometimes it's at a coin laundry as an Access Point for UPS". I'm standing there with a blank face... So I ask her "why couldn't you tell me this on the phone?" She reminds me that it's not her store, and she can't help me. I had to leave immediately before I flip a table. To UPS: How have you jaded Marissa so badly that she treats your customers like this? Friendly staff. Made this location my pick up point for my packages since I'm almost never home. Everyone who complains about trying to get their package the same day they get their notice, wait a day (the next day), and low and behold you'll get your package. Have a little patience, there's a process to it so, the package isn't going anywhere. It's not the staff's fault there is a policy and procedure to packages. I was waiting for the delivery so I was home, and I am working at home. That driver never delivered it - HE CUT CORNERS! That is what they do - always say that there is no one there just to finish their job for the day and let the receiver chase after the parcels/mails themselves. I HAD A ROUGH TIME TRYING TO GET INFO SINCE HE NEVER EVEN LEFT A NOTICE AT ALL! How would one trace something with no information? And they will drop them in the oddest place they chose. These drivers should PUT THEIR FEET INTO THE RECEIVERS SHOES. Why work and keep that job if you do not want to do your job??? And WHY IS THE MANAGEMENT SO UNCARING THAT THEY DO NOT TRY TO FIX THE ISSUE. Reminder: your business is a DELIVERY SERVICE. If you do not know the meaning - look in the dictionary. And it is a ONE OR TWO DAY DELIVERY SERVICE and you will wait for a week to 2 weeks and still have to chase after it at the end. So, today, I was going to send my dad a late addition to his father's day present and thought that I'd try UPS for once, since it was closer to my house than Canada Post, which I usually use. Mistake!! I ended up waiting about 40 minutes or so before any of my shipping information could be handled and was told it would cost me $42 to ship the gift. That's fourty-two dollars, guys, to ship a magazine. In an envelope. No thanks! The next best option was twenty dollars and something, which still is much beyond what I actually paid for the magazine itself, and I was too angry to deal with UPS to spend that much. Went a little ways down the street and found a Canada Post inside a Shoppers Drug Mart. Wish I had gone there first! Package never came to my house and tracking number stated it went to this store instead. When I showed up in the store a driver showed up with a bunch of packages. When I asked if the staff could check, they refused to even look at the boxs that had arrived saying I have to come back the next day and that they can't process the package. Infuriating how lazy staff are here. Looking at past reviews this isn't a first time occurrence. I've been to this store a couple of times and in the past the service was just average. This time it's different. Came in when the store was about to close and did not expect to be served(but came in anyways just to see my chances). I used to dislike going to the UPS store because of the previous owners - they always made me feel that they didn't really want to be there and help their customers. So whenever I order anything online, I pray that the vendors don't use UPS. And sometimes my parcels got sent to the access point location at a convenient store nearby, I would enjoy my pick ups much more if that's the case. A couple of months ago I had to pick up from the UPS store, to my delight, I saw the new owners behind the counter. They had great energy and were nice to talk to.
