We had a great experience here. We just wanted to pick up a total of three items as we got a few notices a few days ago that we missed. The guy behind the counter was busy with the customers before us, so we waited patiently, and he even acknowledged us and said he'd be with us in a few minutes. When it was our turn, the guy said that only one of the items were in, and the other would be in on the next day as we got there too early for pickup. But he also gave us an option that it could still be delivered to our door if we aren't in a hurry. It was really nice of him to inform us of our options. We had no problems here. Agrim Puri of TCP went above and beyond in his delivery of my emergency medical supplies. As we are a small volunteer fire department, there are times when the hall has no personnel on-site. Agrim found this when he was attempting to deliver our much-needed medical first response supplies. He called me several times, but I had had my telephone on mute because I was in a meeting. He proceeded to check every door of the hall, including one that is never used, but had somehow been left slightly ajar during some maintenance the day previously. I answered his call to learn that my hall was open, but empty of personnel, and that he could leave the packages while I made my way up to the hall. Came by to ship a package. Parking is available in the large lot in front of the building. The inside is essentially a large room with a counter on one side, and a conveyor belt. As others have mentioned, the staff didn't seem to care too much about the customers. As there was no official lineup, people just formed a queue. I made it to the front (took some 30) minutes only to find out I was in the "wrong" line. I only saw 1 queue, so how was I supposed to know there are separate lines for picking up and dropping off? Waste of time. No wonder 1 person there seemed to stand around doing nothing. That was the "drop off" person. Some signs would've been nice. Fortunately I was still able to drop off my package on time. Honestly, I probably won't be back anytime soon. There are some other carrier places just a few blocks from here. read more

I ordered something last week and had been waiting for the tracking number, but I never got it. The retail website just showed my order was in process. So it could be the retailer who messed up. Hence I was not expecting any delivery. After reading the other reviews, I am thankful at least the courier guy did buzz my building number and then left a pick up slip when I requested for that. I liked that I could pick up the next day though I was not sure sure the location given was actually further away from my home. Anyway, it was a fuss free experience getting my parcel at this outlet. I've been waiting for two packages, watching the tracking website once I had reached the "estimated date of delivery," knowing of course that this is just an estimate. The package arrived at the depot on Monday (coincidentally THE estimated date of delivery), it was put on the truck Tuesday, undelivered. It was put on the truck Wednesday, undelivered. It was put on the truck Thursday, undelivered, and now it is Friday and apparently it is back at the depot again, with a note that they will be delivered "next business day". If that is Monday I am going to be livid. One of the packages is time sensitive. I need it Sunday and I don't think giving over two weeks for delivery was being overly optimistic. I can't imagine the shipper is particularly happy about this lack of service either as, per their protocols, they award 15% off next purchase for a late package. This will be the second 15% off coupon code I get this week. According to Purolator's protocols, a package should be prioritized for delivery THE next day, and yet these packages have been on the truck at least three times this week according to the tracking website. I could have walked the 12 km to the depot and had the packages in hand on Tuesday. In this day and age we expect a lot, because it can be done, it is done all the time by competing companies. I tend to not let one bad experience taint my opinion, but this week I have lost all faith in Purolator's ability to deliver. My tracking update shows this message: Attempted delivery - if you received a Delivery Attempt Notice, follow instructions on the notice. I have cameras monitoring motion and doorbell, was home all day and nobody even drove up our street, came to my door nor left a notice anywhere. They did not even attempt a delivery. I have other friends in North Vancouver who mentioned that they have experienced the same multiple times over. Purolator cannot be trusted to have a guaranteed delivery. They expect you to collect it from their Douglas Street depot or will "schedule" a delivery in another 2 days time (probably get the same "attempted delivery" BS excuse. read more

We were literally waiting by the phone and tracking our package to be delivered to our apartment. Finally, the package tracker showed a failed attempted delivery. What? We go downstairs, only to find that the delivery person stuck a "We missed you" notice on our mailbox (in the lobby) and instructions to pick it up at a Purolator location. So, the delivery person couldn't be bothered to use the buzzer to call us but still managed to make it into the secure building....only to NOT DELIVER OUR PACKAGE. I'm currently waiting on hold to speak to a Purolator customer service representative. Based on Google reviews, I'll probably have to wait awhile because it sounds like Purolator consistently provides awful service and does not actually deliver...well, anything. I will be blocking Purolator from all my Amazon purchases from now on and encourage others to do so. Looking for advice. So broken upper arm, I ordered a tablet to read, do genealogy & play games with. Get three emails almost immediately from ordering at Best Buy one is my receipt, one is my tracking info & of course 1 is the insurance. Ordered 28th December. Now this is where I wish I could find someone that cares about delivering it. They use Purolator, screammmmm. So the Puralator driver came looked at the intercom made the decision that he was incapable of working an intercom, didn't phone cause the company doesn't provided them with phones. I was on the phone to Purolator b4 he left the parking in front of the building. Too bad for me. So they left the package here in Maple Ridge for me to pick up. If I could pick the damn thing up I would have gone into Best Buy, if I knew Best Buy used Purolator I wouldn't have placed the order. So because no one cares whether its delivered I'm getting no service from either. Purolator for some strange reason daily takes the tablet to Port Kells & they start the shipping procedure over & send it back to the holding place in Maple Ridge. Every time they do that it restarts the 5 day pick up hold so this little circle of BS could go on indefinitely. I told him its already over a week & he said it'll start today. Just doesnt get it. I waited 2 hours today to talk to someone. Purolator couldn't be bothered, they've been paid. Tried Best Buy again, 3rd time, & they keep saying they can't do anything til the 5 days is up & Purolator returns the tablet. And it won't be immediate cause it has to go back east to their financial department. So I paid for a tablet on the 28th December and so far no one is able to tell me when I will get a refund. And yes I tried to give them a chance by asking for a 2nd delivery. Somethings wrong when 2 companies can take my money & my merchandise, kick me to the curb & say I'm Sorry. How does this company stay in business with it's competitors? For my home anyway, we never get "delivery". We only get "come pick up your package". No delivery attempts are made to my un-gated home. I have had a history of subpar experiences with Purolator but the last one prompted this review. Starts off as usual, package is not delivered, no notice on my door, so I go to the site and find out it's waiting for pick up. So I go online for "online chat" support. Says "your request is cancelled since no agents are available" - this is at 10am Pacific Standard time on a Wed. I call by phone and request a 2nd delivery attempt...it's confirmed. Two days after, I still don't have a delivery so I go back online to check on the status of this payment, it's now "returned to sender". read more

I have had hundreds of Amazon orders shipped to my home, and they are ALWAYS left at safe location front door (no signature required) if I am not home at time. Single exception was Purolator (for cheap $10 item), and doing some digging on the internet, it seems the reason why Purolator never seems to just leave the package at door like all the other couriers, is that Purolator uses the OPT OUT method when the shipping label is created. The box with "Signature Required" is checked off by default, whereas all other couriers use OPT IN, where the box is unchecked by default. Not only a very sneaky slimy way for Purolator to slip in an extra $1-2 per shipment to the shipper, but also causes delays for the customer and/or requiring item be picked up at Purolator depot. i am completely and utterly frustrated with the delivery guy from this location that "delivers" to my house! there have been 2 times in the last 3 weeks where an 'attempt' has been made to my house for parcel delivery but there really wasn't!! what is stated on the tracking system is 'attempted deliver-receiver inaccessible', followed by another line that says 'address correction required-incomplete'!! each time i've called the cust. service # to inform them that i looked back at my surveillance video at the time it states the delivery was attempted (found under the tracking information), and there was no attempt at the time stated, nor 30 mins prior, nor 30 mins after the time stated!!! i also clarified my address with the cust. service rep, and it is the exact one on the parcels that were 'attempted to be delivered'!! there is road construction on my street, however my house is *very accessible for deliveries!!!* i am a corner house with a street in front and at the side. the driver can drive by my house to see clearly the address is on the front door and on the fence that faces the road, then go back around the block to park at the side of my house (to avoid attempting to park around the road construction) and make a delivery very easily to my front door, where someone has been waiting for the package!!! each time, i've been tracking my parcels diligently, to make sure someone would be home to receive both packages only to see that the tracking information shows that an 'attempt' was made for delivery!! lies!!! lies!! lies!! read more

I recently purchased a few items via Newegg.com which uses Purolator for shipping to Canadian residents. I have a camera installed at my front door as I've had issues in the past with other shipping companies. First purchase: Delivery driver chose to leave a knock slip WITHOUT knocking on the door. I noticed later in the day and had to pick up the package the following day. Second delivery: "Tuesday, November 28, 2017 9:16 AM On vehicle for Delivery." I made specific arrangements to be available to accept the packages as I was expecting a monitor for my PC. The programs I need to access are very time sensitive. Being available all day I soon read "Tuesday, November 28, 2017 6:18 PM Delivery rescheduled for the next business day". I personally run a business via eBay and I severely understand how important delivery expectations can be. As a large company like Purulator, they should not be leaving concrete statements on their website stating a specific day if they at all know the expectation can't be met. There isn't even a message on their website stating that deliveries can be delayed due to extra volume. I've had Newegg Black List using Purolator for any future deliveries. read more

I've made quite a few stops to this office after missing packages that come to my door. My first time I came here was in 2010 to pick up my Olympic Torchbearer kit. Good times, so much joy. Purolator was the official 2010 Olympic carrier, and I gotta say they do a good job at what they do. I've had so many horrible experiences with FedEx and UPS, but never had I ever come across something that was even the little bit frustrating. Another furious customer here. I ordered something off amazon and they used this shipping company to deliver to my condo. I was not home when the driver arrived and much to my surprise, they did not leave behind a notice as to where I can pick up my parcel. There was absolutely no communication or phonecall and so I decided to check amazon for updates. No luck there as my parcel was marked "delivered." WTF. So I check the purolator website and find a list of events linked to my package. However, what really upsets me is that there are no instructions as to where I would go to pick up this parcel and there are no way to find out because the website give you two options; both of which don't' work: 1) Call Purolator - I called several times, an automated messages just tells me that they are working long hours to get products to customers but no way for me to speak to someone or use any sort of touch-tone feature to track my package 2) Use the online chat to inquire about my package - this feature has not worked because it keeps telling me no agents are available I would expect this frustrating level of service in a third world country but not here. So basically my package is floating around somewhere in the logistics but even though I have the time and transportation to get me there to pick it up, I can't because Purolator's service is beyond crap. My situation is sort of like having a fatal disease eating away at your life and you have the money to pay for the medicine to cure yourself but the only nurse available to give you the shot is permanently on lunch. After desperately awaiting a delivery of a printer which should have arrived on Friday, the company left a note on our door stating they attempted deliver at 0857 on Monday morning. There were 2 vehicles in the driveway and there are 9 dogs in the home (a doggy daycare). The "We Missed You notice" now states the item is not available for pickup for 3 days??? Had the driver rung the doorbell or knocked loudly, the dogs alone would have alerted us to the shipment delivery. It is 2019 with GPS, smart phones and text messaging. How is that the best this company can do is offer to "page" the driver to attempt to redeliver today but there is no guarantee as they do not have drivers acknowledge the request? I will be contacting HP regarding this service as Purolator should not be used for time sensitive parcels. read more

Helpless, Hopeless and Useless probably best describes how this company operates. If you want to use their tracking system you have to sign up and allow Purolater access to far too much information. If you phone the customer hotline, well they don't seem to answer it. I waited for 25 minutes before finally hanging up. Ordered a package on amazon.ca and paid extra for the 1 day shipping. Order information contained both a phone number and a doorcode to make contact. "Delivery was attempted" evidently means staring at the glass doors in a perplexed state and wondering how to enter for Purolators employees. Contacted Amazon who then contacted purolator. The excuses that were relayed were 1. "we do not know why he did not use the door code" and 2. "Their driver did not have a phone". I would like to say this is the only time this has happened while shipping packages with this company, but it is not :( If you have a choice, never choose purolator for deliveries. Update: After contacting purolator and ensuring they have the correct information, the delivery was attempted again the next day. Not only did they not attempt to contact my cellphone, but they decided to use the wrong doorcode. They gained access to the building but instead of completing the delivery (my unit is on the main floor). They decided to stick a attempted to deliver sticker on the inside of the front doors. Absolutely brilliant. Final Update: After getting purolator to turn the truck around the package was finally delivered. Delivery driver immediately informed me that I am an asshole. read more

This Purolator always has lines out the door, no more than 3 people at the counter, and no one seems to know where to line up. There are only a few designated parking spots so it's sometimes hard to find parking. This isn't a quick errand and can sometimes take up to 10 minutes of waiting in a hot/stuffy room with no staff at the front before the line starts moving again. read more

No guarantee, no customer service (left on hold till closing) and no control over their shipments. Use Canada Post, UPS or anyone else. I shudder to think what their international shipping is like. The process of receiving a package with Purolator has been frustrating. I followed the package online and made myself available on the day it would be delivered. I was home at the time it was logged that the delivery attempt was to be made. The note left was to pick up the following business day after 10am. The tracking page said it was on the truck for delivery. Once again - no delivery time notification. I called the 1800 number and the telephone person doesn't know. No delivery. Went to the depot the next day and the workers were apologetic...but they didn't know when it would be delivered. I feel my time has been waisted when this could have been a much better process. My only recourse is this review and to request that the company I ordered from not use Purolator. read more

Purolator always seems to send my packages to locations super far way, which is way out of the way, and makes no sense seeing that there is a Purolator location near me. This has happened on multiple occasions and I have spoken with representatives and this issue hasn't been solved. Sensitive and urgent documents were delayed because the delivery staff could not match up the names on the parcel to the buzzer directory (or did not attempt to do so). No notification slip was left. Our phone numbers were attached to the parcel and no attempt was made to phone us to notify us on the status of the parcel. I have used DHL, FedEx, UPS which are far superior in customer service. I have two parcels shipping to my cousin's place via purolator courier, however, he wasn't home at the time of delivery, so the driver left a notice on his door. My cousin has been going to school everyday, he practically has no time to collect the parcels himself personally(also he doesn't drive). He called Purolator customer service phone-line, and the CSR told him he can authorize me to pick up the parcels for him at this location. They even text-message a confirmation number for this pick-up However due to some mis-communication between the Purolator customer service and staff at this location, I was not allowed to pick up the parcel when I arrived. I got a bit frustrated because I had to take a break from work and drive 30 mins to come to this place. So I asked if there is anything they can do to resolve this issue. The staff there simply refused to do anything (won't call my cousin to verify, won't try to contact the phone-line customer service department of purolator to verify). Worst of all, the staff there were very rude to me and constantly interrupted my speech and questions. To the point one of the staff just blatantly accusing me of a scammer among other things. It is a mistake by Purolator's customer service and now I am the one who gets screwed. There is just no way any customers should be treated like that. WORST COURIER EVER. Called on a Wednesday for an overnight as the package had to go the island. First they said it can't be done in 24 hours, they needed 48. Okay, re-scheduled the work on the other side to accommodate. 48 hours later, no delivery. They said due to shortage of trucks they couldn't deliver to Monday. In the meantime 2 days lost work on the other side. Very unacceptable. I told the 'tracking specialist' this and she told me I could come and pick it up at the depot and use someone else!!! Really!!
