The gent who helped me was very kind. I did buy the mailing tube from him, but I also got some rubbish cardboard to hold a flat print safe in my backpack. They ring the buzzer (which rings 3 times ) then just as you are about to pick it up....it stops , and away goes UPS.... I was eagerly waiting with my UPS tracking screen on and my paranoia vision TV Security channel on. Nothing ... I had called UPS to ask that they send a message to the driver, that if there was no response to the buzzer, to please call me. I would go down. Imagine my surprise, when after wasting my entire day waiting around- that the status had changed online to Delivery Attempt - No answer! They had not even tried to ring buzzer or call me. I was not happy. I called to ask that they drop it off at The UPS store. They did! I called and asked if I could come pick it up (yes before 6 pm) I arrive, barely had to wait, my package was given to me after I showed ID, I signed and was on my way home with my new Fredrick's of Hollywood Lingerie! Strike One - As requested by them, I sent them a email about my closing date but asked them to refrain from contacting my Mortgage Specialist for a few days as was in the process of locking down my rate. Right away, Kelvin emailed my Mortgage Specialist about my closing date and when I questioned why they ignored my request to refrain from contacting my Mortgage Specialist he said my email did not pass through his desk until later. This makes no excuse as I only sent ONE email that had both my closing date and not to contact my mortgage specialist right away. At least he apologized. Whether coincidence or not, the bank decided to not match a rate I requested for two days prior. The bank answer came right after Kelvin emailed my mortgage specialist my closing date. Second strike - Lexie contacts me asking for my mortgage paperwork. I tell her my appointment date and time with my bank but request several times for an estimate on how much I owed the Notary Public the next business day for my scheduled appointment with them. Kept getting told they could not give me a number, not even a ballpark figure. After several more emails I finally get an invoice from them for $30k three hours before my scheduled appointment time with them! Was not expecting it to be that much (hence why asking a number of times for an estimate so I could have prepared and transferred enough money into my everyday bank account for the situation) and called if I had to pay in a bank draft as I didn't expect the large bill. They basically said it had to be bank draft and shifted the blame on me that I signed my mortgage papers too late but here's the thing - they know my mortgage specialist contact info for a month, they knew how much I was approved for my mortgage, and knew my condo purchase price. Why they could not provide an estimate or what my bill would include is beyond me! So basically they expect people to have 30k lying around in their everyday bank accounts and to go get a bank draft for them within 3 hours on a working day. The attitude was very much that it was not their problem. Luckily, I somehow managed to get the money and bank draft in record time while having a panic attack, no thanks to them. Strike Three - I show up at their office and find out am not allowed into their office due to their fear of the COVID virus. Fine but they could have mentioned it as I was left standing outside their office in the cold waiting for them and papers to sign. They left me a clipboard of paperwork to sign. I read through them and find there is nothing to sign. Finally get their attention by waving my bank draft at them and tell them there was no document they gave me to sign. The lady just asks for my bank draft payment . She comes back and hands me another stack of paper to stay outside to sign. I read through the papers to initial, sign, and date multiple documents. The lady shows up again and asks if I'm done yet. I tell her not yet as want to read the legal documents before signing each one. The lady says, "just sign. You can ask questions later". Seriously, what Notary Public tells customers to not read, or try to understand, what legal documents they are signing?!? If you want to be treated like an inconvenience, be told excuses that don't make sense, and get the worst level of uncaring and lazy service then this Notary Public team is for you. Highly recommend you stay far far away from this place!
