Okay fine. I call head office and tell them to use our concierge desk, they say okay we'll try again tomorrow. Two days later no package. I call Clearly for a tracking number. I input the number of Phantoms website. Order not found. Weird. I call customer service and they say they shipped my package back to Clearly because I wasn't home! Are you kidding me? They are rude, unhelpful, and the only delivery service I know that doesn't know how to use a concierge desk. Avoid at all costs.

Apparently most of the staff have been there for over 10 years - which seems incredible to me for a courier company (think: high turnover industry). Anyhow: my 2 cents. Finally, the next day it arrived looking like it had been bouncing around in the back of a van for a long time - because it had - 81 days! I found myself at FedEx this morning, in which the man at the counter kindly directed me here. The UPS here is in a prime location- right near a Dollorama , Bosley's, Shopper's Drug Mart, an a skytrain station. The woman at the counter today had exceptional customer service skills. She had a large purple and pink button on her shirt that said something like "I'm happy, ask me how" and so I asked her. Although I am genuinely a happy person, I couldn't help but ask her about this large button! She was fairly vague about it. I then asked her if it had something to do with the cross around her neck (as I'm a Christian) and she said no. She said she no longer has that 2:00 lull in her day because of one specific thing she does that makes her happy and no longer tired. She said she can't explain it but that it works, and that if I want to know more about it, she can send me a video and I can decide to do whatever I want with it. I wrote my email address on a notepad for her and will be waiting to hear back. For all I know, she's going to send me some information about a cult hahaha. I will update to let you all know. I liked this conversation starter. Our world is more connected yet more lonely than ever and I liked the way she brought humanity and deeper human connection into an everyday errand for me. I also liked that UPS allows her to do this (assuming it's not actually a cult haha).

He informed me that the label that came with my envelope was actually for UPS, and then pointed me in the right direction of a UPS nearby. Normally figuring out that I need to make another stop to complete my errands would frustrate me, but his upbeat (yet authentic) personality and professionalism left me feeling like another stop was no big deal. I was surprised they actually called me about my delivery asking if I was home, which I wasn't at the time, and also receiving automated calls which allowed me to take down the tracking number for the package I needed to pick up without bringing the slip that was left at my door. This depot at least is not located in the middle of nowhere, or the airport, where I have to really trek far and waste a good portion of gas to get to. It isn't too far from the Gilmore Skytrain station either, so if you didn't have a car, you are still ok, unless it is a huge package, then this is all on you to what you order, and you weren't prepared. When I arrived, there was a small lineup, but it was pretty good, service was friendly, and when I received my package, they gave me the push cart dolly, as it was going to be hard to carry this thing from the desk to the customer parking lot. They open up to 6:30 on weekdays, and if you cannot make it, they even open on Saturday for a short period of time. The staff here was very friendly on my visits, and it is not that I choose FedEx for my deliveries, more from the vendors I buy from... but I am happy with the service of taking care of my package.

Th worst customer service i have ever seen. I sent an item back to US from Canada for repair (and…read morereturn). The shipment was clearly marked as repair and return, but they charged the receivers credit card anyway for taxes etc. on the value of the item. This charge is over $400 US, and should not have been charged int he first place! The only way forward was to file a "dispute", which I did right away and which was acknowledged. I didn't hear for months, and made several calls, but customer service doesn't have access to that department, so all I could do was email again and again. About five months later someone finally told me that the file had been closed as I had not responded to their email for more documents. I had them send me that email, and it turns out they had sent the email to the wrong address (they made a typo)! So to re-open the case, they wanted me to send them another $90USD. I said that it was THEIR fault for the email error, so they should waive the fee. From that point on I was ghosted, and could not get a response from anyone. I found a manager, outlined the situation, and she agreed to waive the fee, and directed the original person to move forward with re-opening the case and get it processed properly. That was a month and a half ago, and I have no confirmation that anything has been done or if anything is in process, and all parties that I have been communicating with about this (including managers) have not responded to any of my inquiries as to the status. And there is no one I can call who has any ability to help me. So I am pretty much back where I started.... SOOO frustrating!!!!!!!!!!
