i hate moving and had to ship a couple boxes, a snowboard, and a large picture frame. the guys there were super cool and helpful. i had to build my own box for the large picture frame (which was a real b#%$!), but was able to ship everything for just under $200 which i was happy about. the only complaint i have is that the glass on the picture frame broke when it arrived at my new place. maybe due to my packing (although i used tons of bubble wrap and the guy at the store exclaimed that it was well done), but i think more likely due to the people handling the frame during the shipment. overall, they were helpful, easy to deal with, and the shipping rates were very reasonable. read more

This "UPS Store" is a complete scam! I sent a lacrosse stick and gloves down to Florida, a shipment that weighed not more than 5 pounds, and the shipping rate I calculated at home for UPS Ground service was $11.50 They charged me $51.80 to send the package. With $30 for shipping, $9 for a box, and $11 for "packing" my shipment aka haphazardly throwing things into a box and dropping my item 3 times while I was in the store. I hope the items got to my destination without scratches. Sad buisness. read more

I don't usually have good experiences at UPS, USPS and/or FedEx. But todays service was beyond exceptional. More specifically I was very pleased with my rep who assisted me: Garth. He made it beyond possible especially being that he was the only one working. Six people walked in at the same time, with all different situations, yet he was still able to efficiently package all of my products and get me out of there in 15 mins. He multi tasked between 3 people at a time and used every second to his advantage with a smile! read more

I had such a lovely experience here today. I needed to print something and then make copies. Unfamiliar with how the store works, I was that needy customer, requiring assistance every step of the way. Garth was gracious, extremely helpful, and never made me feel the train wreck of a customer that I was. And it was much less expensive than I thought it would be. I've been using this store for 7 years to receive packages, ship documents, scanning / faxing, notary services, etc. Garth, Josh, and Carlos are great. Very friendly and organized. I'm extremely satisfied with the services they provide and plan to continue using thier services and store for years to come. If you need logistics with a personal touch, and an appreciation for neighborly goodwill, I suggest letting these gentlemen handle the coordination of your shipping / receiving and office service demands. read more

I went on a Friday to deliver a package for a Saturday being very clear that I required the package overnighted to get it early in the morning the next day. The clerk gives me a post office envelope and states it will arrive by Monday and it would be the cheapest way to get it there. I said no, I want to use UPS and send it OVERNIGHT and pay the premium price, the clerk states that it is certainly possible and charged me $24. Bottom line. I missed my deadline because the package arrived on Monday at 10am. UPS states that is was NOT ordered for Saturday delivery. Post office would have gotten the package there as early as that for the half the price. I call up on Monday to protest the mistake, the clerk states that "overnight means Monday" and states that they would look at the camera and if the this was their mistake they would refund me. I called back and Josh the store manager says he spoke to his higher up who states that I paid for a lesser service and the package arrived on time and they will not refund me, and that is after checking the camera, they say the voice was muffled. So no refund for me. I am filing a complaint with BBB. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Worst UPS experience I've ever had. The service here is absolutely terrible - the associate assisting me with my package was so rude and made me feel embarrassed. And sending my package was not cheap, so I'm angry that I spent my hard earned money there. Go somewhere else, or at least go to a different UPS location. read more

I've had a box here for a couple of years. Staff are great. Friendly and helpful. Email me every time a letter or parcel arrives, with a warning if heavy. Gone are the days of my stuff being stolen off my porch or having to carry stuff home from Manhattan. Highly recommended. read more

If I had a business that needed a manager -- ANY business -- I would hire Garth in a heartbeat. It's been 15 years since I've had a service-oriented experience that was this quick, responsive, and professional -- and that was while at least four other customers were also present. Tried to charge me $29 to mail a letter, processed the whole transaction and only told me at charge time.

WHAT A RIP OFF... Ask to see the meter before paying for your shipment. I shipped a large envelope with a blazer in it to Arizona. The charge was $20.00. They quoted UPS price at $18.90 and USPS at $18.20. I questioned the price. I was told it was because of the distance. The envelope arrived in Arizona and the meter sticker was $10.20. I called and complained. They said it was a processing surcharge. If you don't want to be charged DOUBLE I recommend waiting in the long lines at your local Post Office. read more

Being that I live around the corner, I wish that I could write a positive review for this establishment, but I cannot. I have used them a few times for shipping and each time the staff has been overwhelmed and rude. I feel for people who are busy but there is a real lack of customer service at this store. Until this morning, I told myself that their jobs were hectic and continued to patronize this store. This morning, I went into the UPS Store to print a document and make photocopies. Upon the first, second and third tries, nothing printed. During this time, the sales associate as working with another customer but at no point did he let me know that he was willing to help me or did he ask if I needed assistance. After waiting for the other customers to leave, I asked the sales associate for help and explained to him the problem. He gave me instructions, but still the document was not printing fully. Rather than help me, the sales associate appeared very frustrated and raised his voice to me, saying that what I originally asked him was not what I was requesting now. I told him that I would not be spoken to in that manner and that I would be leaving. He then told me that I needed to pay for the incorrect printing that was done! I refused, upon which he asked for the incomplete document. I have never had an experience like this with a small business. I am shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store. read more

Terrible price gouging...I had to return a very large package to the sender (who didn't provide return shipping, even though it was really their misleading web info that caused the return)...anyway, I had to take it here as it was WAY too large to haul into Manhattan, the closest "official" UPS shipping center. The sender's cost to ship me the package was $25.00....going here to make the return cost me a whopping $65.80 to return the package, or roughly 185% more than the original shipment cost...I think these people think that they are running a bar! It is true, by UPS's own admission, that UPS "Stores" are privately owned affiliate franchises, and can charge whatever they like...this place certainly is a testament to that ethos! I've been in this neighborhood for over 30 years now, and here's another stunning example of what gentrification brings in tow....unless you have a pre-paid shipping label I'd think twice before using this UPS franchise...ymmv ;(( read more

I've been here a few times to print a few pages, and most recently to drop off a pre-paid return package. Like a dope I forgot to check what time they opened and discovered once I got there that I was 30 minutes too early. I was halfway down the block with my ginormous package (a body pillow, so large but at least not heavy) when a guy passed me and said I could walk back with him. It took me a minute to realize he was worked at the UPS Store. I really appreciated his kindness, as he saved me a 5 block walk back home with the cumbersome box and he could have not spoken up without me every being the wiser. We both agreed we were glad he arrived extra early that day. read more
