The first time I walked in here, it was just to purchase some postcard stamps. I was in and out in about 30 seconds, but that 30 seconds was better than any time I've ever spent in a UPS Store, Fed-Ex shop, or post office: I didn't have to wait, I was smiled at, and the dude behind the counter was clearly knowledgeable and didn't have a vacant, I-hate-everybody look in his eyes. I thought to myself, I'm gonna come back. And I did. And I do. Whatever your shipping needs, they've got it covered. They're smart, and quick, and helpful. You're dealing with the same guys every time, instead of a different manager every week (let alone employee) because working for Fed Ex is probably awful. So now I go past the Fed Ex shop on my corner, and walk an extra 10 minutes because I'd rather deal with nice, efficient, actual people that don't seem to hate me. Sure, there's a wait sometimes because this is Brooklyn, and I'm not the only person in the neighborhood that's figured out (A) Brooklyn Postal Center is a good spot and (B) shopping local is better for everyone. But the line moves quick, and even the people waiting with you are nicer over here. read more

Annoying experience each time. Needs improvement. Why? If I walk in (there's a strange 3 person limit in the store), and my UPS or FedEX box is pre-packaged and labeled, don't make me wait in line. Just say, 'dropping off? prepackaged box?...leave it right here.' Allow me to drop the box with the other boxes sitting there, and be on my way. Having to wait to be helped while you assist someone package up their shipment is maddening especially when all I'm trying to do is drop off my pre-labeled box. Cobble Mail on Henry St. has this all figured out. I don't spend more than 20 seconds in the store when dropping of a pre-labeled package. The guys working don't keep their heads down while customers are waiting. They multiple task and move people promptly in and out. Hope to see some improvement. Thank you. read more

I've used these guys for years (under various owners) and always had a good experience. Once the new owners took over a few years ago, they really stepped things up. I've use these guys for shipping, packing, faxing, receiving packages - it's all gone well. If you need any kind of shipping or mail services, I recommend them! Also great to have your valuable packages delivered here to thwart stoop-thieves. A few A+ service things to point out: During the VERY busy holidays this year, they brought on extra staff to help, which was greatly appreciated. Even when there were long lines, people were coming out to expedite simple pick-ups and drop offs, making things run really smoothly. They did a great job. I had the USPS lose a valuable package I dropped off there... when I checked in with them, they told me that it was common at the moment, because USPS is extremely over-loaded. I trust these guys and resolved to give it a few days. Once the package did end up showing up in the USPS system - they reached out to me to let me know. I've dropped return packages many times over the years here, but didn't have much need to send out new packages until recently. I called in advance & they said I could create an account and just drop off the bag and they would invoice me. GENIUS! I had over 30 packages and they got them all out in 1-2 days (I wasn't in a rush). They were able to process the packages when it was slow & I didn't have to stand there for hours! They would pick out the lowest cost carrier & process. The most amazing part, is they send you an email for each package with the tracking info and 1 single invoice that you can pay with a click of a button (Apple or Google pay). No issues with any of the shipments, all arrived as expected. Maybe I could have saved a few $$ by going to USPS, but the time I saved was totally worth any extra costs. Convenient albeit somewhat pricey copy center on Smith Street. They offer a lot of services from shipping, printing and copy needs. When running errands earlier, I had a very lightweight, small package to ship to my friend in New Jersey. I contemplated visiting UPS (upper Court Street) and/or finally USPS on Adams Street (farthest) to figure out best pricing options. I've used their services in the past for faxing, making copies and printing needs. It's bare bones but accomplishes tasks that need to be addressed. They also sell various size envelopes, boxes for shipping/storage and stamps (at $0.13 extra per stamp. Honestly, I'd never buy stamps that cost that much more than the actual U.S. stamp price). I realize they have to profit but I can buy a book of stamps at CVS for the very same price the post office sells them for. The winter weather ultimately was the deciding factor in whose service I'd end up using. I settled on Copy Cottage to ship my package at a rate of $6.64. I was informed it was what the post office would charge. Not too sure about that. When it comes to services and pricing options, convenience can sometimes outweigh budget. This is exactly the reason why I succumbed by using Copy Cottage today. read more

I had the most seamless experience at Brooklyn Postal Center. Denzel was super helpful with helping me find the perfect size boxes for my luggages which I was shipping to California. He helped securely package and wrap up the boxes. They even provided zip ties for the bigger luggage that I didn't need a box for. For the shipping labels, I just had to email it to them and they did the rest of the work. With moving across coasts and having to deal with a lot of boxes/luggages, it can be an overwhelming process, but Brooklyn Postal Center helped put me at the ease with their packaging knowledge and organized processes. read more

I depend on Brooklyn Postal Center on a daily basis. I receive many packages there and ship from BPC a lot too. I sometimes use BPC for printing and binding book-length manuscripts. The 3 people at a time works for me because I take care of a lot of immunocompromised people and was one myself for a while. I still appreciate the policy. The shop is a hub, a busy, humming place with plenty of ups, fedex, usps and dhl people coming and going. I don't often write reviews but BPC means more than just great service to me. Once when I was in chemo, an employee walked me home with a heavy package. Another time I came in last-minute on a Saturday and asked them to help me print memorial programs. I didn't say anything about my loss (my Dad) but when the time came to pay they wouldn't take my money. That is a shop I want to patronize. I rely on BPC, in fact I'm going there to pick up a package right now. Suhaib and his team are truly the best. read more

I've been using this service for years, and I receive everything promptly and correctly. The staff is friendly and honest, and it's a true family-run business. Am I missing something here? This place is a HUGE ripoff!!! I've come here a few times when my stupid printer goes down or I need to fax something or deliver something. Had I known the prices here were so ridiculous, I would have trekked those 20 blocks to Kinko's on Court Street! I came here once to print out a 30 page practice LSAT and the woman informed me that each page was 50 cents.....ummmm.....WHAT?!?!?! $15 for something like printing a few sheets out!?!? What the hell happened to the good old 10-20 cent per page back in the day?? Oh and the cool part too? She wanted a dollar a page for colored pages!! What the hell is that?? Oh and to use the computer to print, you ALSO got to pay for the minutes used on the computer! I've never heard of such a ripoff in my life! I also came here to return textbooks I rented from an online educational spot and the box weighed probably close to 2 pounds. I had no time to run to the post office and this place is near my house so I came here to drop it off. They wanted $20....ok seriously, I felt like I was on candid camera! I've never paid more than $5 to return a package as light as the one I brought it! I just gave her a blank stare and walked out. I was late for work but at least I kept my $20!! A (belated) update to the update -- unfortunately. I had a very important piece of mail delivered there to ensure safe receipt, and copy cottage lost it for a while. They first told me they didn't have it, but it later turned up, having been misplaced in a random file behind the counter. So, nix that on the mail delivery front I talked about below. ___ UPDATE: big plus - when your mail delivery/building arent reliable for express or package delivery, you can have it delivered to them instead. They charge you a few bucks for the favor, but its so much simpler than weeks tracking down misdirected or urgent-late stuff. ____________ Stamps - Out of stamps both times I've stopped into ask. The guy there today explained to me that the post office delivered their bulk stamp order to the wrong place and wouldnt refund them til it all got sorted out. But they have a postage machine on premises if you have something ready to send out. Copies - OK copies (not pristine quality, ok as drafts). Though she said they could crank up the other copier to make better quality copies, but it would take time to warm up. The whole thing went really slowly - not a place to get copies done quickly. (no auto-stapler, why isnt best copy machine on?, etc.) So why three stars? Cuz they're really friendly, down to earth, family style business and that gets me going in the am. read more

As much as I want to support a local Bklyn business, I feel so ripped off by Copy Cottage that I have to write. Over the holidays, I brought in 100 holiday cards for mailing. They were square, which I knew would cost more, but Copy Cottage charged me 60 cents more PER card. I thought this was standard until a friend told me that the local post office charged 20 cents. Our local copy shop triple-charged me. Customer service is also not up to par. When I called the store to inquire about this, the person at the desk apologized that he couldn't help me and asked me to call back five days later, on a Saturday, ("when the owner is in"). This place is a lifesaver! They are so nice and really go out of their way to help. I recently had a huge oversize order (blueprints) that I needed copies of in time to fedex out that night. The fedex cut off is 6pm and they weren't going to be finished in time (after working all day on my job!). So they called fed ex to see where they could be dropped off late and the guys actually went out of their way to take my job to fed ex themselves when it was finished so I could make my deadline! They even called me as soon as they opened the next morning just to let me know they made it and everything was fine. I mean, who does that? Copy Cottage does! I love this place. read more

I am very frustrated and disappointed in the service I received at copy cottage. I shipped a package overnight on December 23rd and paid a whopping $110.00 for a medium/small package with special gifts that I wanted to arrive overnight to my family. I was told the overnight charge, i paid it and left. Unfortunately the package did not arrive overnight. I called copy cottage and they said they would take care of it and told me I would receive a shipping refund. I did not hear back from them again and as time went by I forgot to keep calling. I recently called again to find out why I still have not received a refund and I was told by George that overnight is never guaranteed by UPS or FEDEX the week before Christmas. Really? So, I paid $110.00 to "hopefully" get my package to its destination overnight? PLEASE!! who would take that chance when it would cost a fraction of that to pay for 2-day mail. I was NEVER told this when I sent the package out. No refund for me it seems and I was told by George to "call Melissa and she will tell you the exact same thing. There are no truly accesable post offices in the Cobble Hill/Carroll gardens area - for .75 they will take your USPS pre-paid packages and they are open till 7. Super nice and friendly to boot. read more

I had the same issue as Daniel J reported on 10/30. One of their employees stole my trade-in iPhone 11 pro right out of the box and it was shipped to Apple empty. The listed weight on the FedEx tracking was 0.1 lbs so I know it was taken upon drop-off. read more

First time we used this place - the service was okay, but a bit haphazard. Second time - My husband just spent $4 for a two-sided colour scan ($4 for a scan?!) - and when we got home, plugged the USB stick into our computer - it turns out to be a black and white scan--at a pretty crummy resolution. So I'm out $4 for a scan that's completely worthless to me. read more

This is a great local Brooklyn resource. CCC is well staffed and they have exactly what you need for resumes and other business printing. The prices are reasonable and jobs are finished quickly. Stopped here recently because I needed to have some documents scanned and emailed. Getting to Kinkos downtown can be a pain, and there's often a wait for a computer if I can even make it through the door. Copy Cottage seemed to have a decent rep on Yelp, so I decided to check it out. Place didn't look like much, and there wasn't any self-service option. Woman who helped me was nice enough, though I did want to stick my tongue out at her when she told me it would cost $2 PER PAGE for scanned documents. Curse word, curse word, expletive, expletive. I thought $20 for ten pages was a bit much...Actually, I thought that was a lot much, especially because she was using one of those super fast copy machine scanners that feeds itself the pages. But a movie was being filmed in the neighborhood that day, and I had tried too hard to find a parking space to walk away. I paid the $20 with a resigned sigh and headed out the door with my expensive new pdf. Guess I'm more lazy than cheap. Long story short, doesn't seem like Copy Cottage is the best look for printing, scanning, and photocopying basics. read more

I love this place. Working from home, I need a place where I can send my Fed-Ex from, send a fax and make a few copies. In fact, when I need good color copies printed from my computer I just email them over to Copy Cottage and they print them out for me. They always do good work for me, nothing ever gets shipped incorrectly, their copier seems to work well and if they don't have stamps, I walk a few blocks down to the corner deli instead, no biggie. What I love most about this place is the staff. Melissa, the owner, is a sweetheart. Her kids are always running amok which makes the place feel even more neighborhood-ish. I'm still trying to figure out the significance of the rabbit in the cage though. The rest of the staff is really helpful and they all try hard. Being a bit of regular there I always feel like I am popping in to see some friends. In fact, one very rainy day, I got stuck there waiting for the rain to pass and they were so friendly as I hung around. read more
