Was in the neighborhood and had an Amazon package to drop off. There was no greeting really. The top of my box was not taped. The woman pointed to some small print in the amazon app and said that it says that the customer must tape packages. I didn't feel like squinting to read the fine print so I have no idea whether this is true. She pointed at small packages and said she would tape those and that I could buy some tape. I said I had tape in my car and went to get it and also opened the Yelp app (which she saw me do). When I came back in with my roll of tape she said "we taped it for you." SMH! Such an interesting experience. There was no wait really and the store was neat which I added a star for. And yet this locale can't compare to the friendly and efficient Westlake Terrace store service. read more

Always unfriendly, no greeting...takes packages with an attitude. I dread going in there but it's too close and convenient to go elsewhere. 1 star for location, minus 3 stars for the miserable staff. signed up for direct mail service to advertise my business the guy called me 3 times over the next two weeks to tell me reasons I should probably just cancel my order ... finally he called me and told me the flyers were printed and ready for pickup so I went there and asked how these will be distributed he told me I should probably go to the post office because they do stuff like that ??? I called ups helpline and couldn't get through to a live person at all. UPS TOTALLY SUCKS 100% its a tragedy how stupid people are !!! read more

I have been using this store for several years. They do a great job, especially considering that it's often busy. I have used them for notary service, printing, packaging antiques, and sending returns. It's always neat, tidy and friendly. read more

Pretty efficient but customer service is pretty unknown to them. I go there regularly and am never greeted or addressed in any way other then what I need done. Today I returned a multiple box with packing and was told in the future you need to tape all box's yourself. Ok, but we are talking about 5 seconds of effort on his part and 2 cents worth of tape, does he really not care about customers at all?. read more

The owner could care less about UPS customers. She is never there and leaves one poor guy (who is excellent) there by himself to deal with long/slow lines. With only one person behind the counter and a line out the door, this location is easily the worst UPS store in Bethesda. If the terrible owner ever decides to spend more time/money/effort on getting the help necessary to effectively run this branch maybe I would consider going back. read more

Every time I come here - usually on Saturdays - there is seriously the most professional and efficient guy working, and he makes this place run like clockwork. Even if there is a line, it goes as best as possible esp compared to other shipping or mailing places in the area. He's so notably good at his job that I came into Yelp just to write a review. I really like this particular UPS Store #6395 on River Road in Bethesda. The staff is always courteous, professional, friendly, and competent, and it seems like anything I ever want to do there (ship, return something to Amazon, get something notarized or packed, etc.) is handled speedily, efficiently, and with a smile and a "thank you". This is easily the rudest UPS store in memory. I have a drop off the ​label​ from Amazon. The clerk insisted it was the wrong label. It was not He said there was another label on the Amazon website. There was not. He insisted that his store does not take drop-offs. Somebody dropped a Nesspresso pack while I was there. He insisted I hand it to a delivery driver. I asked, "isn't this where drivers come to pick up packages." The fellow said, "that's different"[?!] I also tried to send a small package that had priced at 8.00 internationally when I sent the same item earlier from the post office. This time, he priced the item, a piece of velcro, at $18.00?! I will never go near the place again, and live but a block away. read more

Absolutely the rudest person behind the counter ever. (Guy with very short hair) snatched my package, ran a piece of tape across the top and called it good. I had to ask him to tape the sides, which he did begrudgingly. As I was returning an $800 coat, I didn't think it was excessive to want to tape the sides of the box. He said he should charge me for taping-- to which I responded "that's fine", but he didn't charge me. He just didn't want to do it. Sir, if you hate working there, please work elsewhere. You're a jerk and nobody in line needs your attitude. read more

The ups is in a nice little plaza with a parking lot if you need to drop off a lot of packages.

I have used them a number of times have been pleased - but my first visit was shocking. I gave them a small package and was quoted a price that was just over the top. I took my package and said "no thank you," and as I was leaving, she quickly quoted me a price less than half the first price. I had thought prices were fixed and didn't expect to have to bargain! I have no complaints since that first attempt at ripping me off. read more

Just had a pretty grim experience. But this is not the first time, so I guess it is a poorly run place. I can never understand how this place survives when it is so clumsy. Probably the only thing this storefront is useful for is a drop off for Amazon returns using UPS. Don't bother with the notary; the guy responsible is so slow and dim (and yes, rude - but that made little difference to me) that those needing would be much better off going a few blocks down Arlington Rd to Strosniders - yup, the hardware store - and clearly a far better managed retailer. read more

Be careful if you intend to send international shipment. This UPS store made a mistake in the value and description of the item I sent abroad as a Christmas gift, resulting in customs fines. After several attempts to solve the problem, UPS store has shown no willingness to take responsibility for its own error and the loss it caused. read more

They OVERCHARGE for every incidental. I recently dropped off a return package for Amazon. The box had a small (2" long) tear. The store operator asked if I want her to fix the tear with tape and also to tape the pre-printed Amazon label to the box. I gratefully said yes for this small courtesies. She then told me she'd charge $3.00 for both job. When I looked surprise, she said I could buy plastic shipping tape -- for $7.50 -- and do the tear and tape the label myself. read more
