Four days ago, we spent $52 to overnight our daughter's passport from NJ to VA. It is lost and all this store has done to help is call the same UPS customer hotline that we've been calling. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Their latest is "maybe we can give you an update tomorrow." Her flight is 5am tomorrow morning. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

I haven't really used them much...I haven't really had to...but when I have, I've liked the service. I don't dispute the validity of the 1-star (or less) reviews, but luckily that hasn't been my own experience. A few years ago, I had to fax documents over to a potential employer, and I chose to use the Staples store in Chester, NJ. My experience there was an exercise in frustration, and it was expensive to boot (I left a 2-star review on Yelp; they subsequently closed-- not that I take any pleasure in that, but it came as no big surprise...and I'm sure my 2-star review had nothing to do with it!). Pissed off, exasperated, I decided to use the UPS Store instead. The store clerk quickly and efficiently faxed my documents over to where they needed to go, and it was substantially less expensive than the Staples had been. A week or so ago, I ordered a photo album from Amazon for $30. It arrived quickly, minus the pages necessary to mount photos. Sort of comparable to ordering a record album with no actual record inside. In order to get a refund, I was told to print out the "refund" page they sent to me, take it over to the nearest UPS store, and they would process my refund. Seemed like a cumbersome, annoying way for me to get my money back for their f*ck-up, but I didn't have the patience or time to dispute the procedure with Amazon (although my Yelp entries don't always indicate it, I DO have a life), and I don't have enough discretionary income that I can just kiss off $30. So...I printed out the page, and brought it to this UPS store, which is not far from where I live, along with the page-less album in its cardboard box. There was a line of 2 or 3 people, but the line moved quickly. Less than 5 minutes after entering the store, the process was completed, and my money had been refunded. They kept the album; I walked out with the empty cardboard box. As I've said, my reasons for utilizing their services are few and far between, but when I've had to utilize said services, I've never had any cause for complaint. read more

Got my wedding invitations printed and cut here. They have a ton of "for your every ing" commercials on right now so I sent my mom a template and she went off to the UPS store. I had only asked for them printed as I planned to cut them myself at home, but it was insisted that they do it and charged almost $2 per invite. I didn't find that out until after it was done, but I was trying to do this all on the cheap and that is s actually more than I could have spent by having them professionally designed and printed. Upon pickup, the woman handed my mom a stack of paper. No box or wrapping. It was pouring out so common sense would say maybe not??? Anyway, here I am recutting each one because they look really bad. They are each totally different sizes and each card has at least a little chunk of the card that must have been next to it when printed on a sheet. They're not even cut square so I'm losing a lot of the cards to make them look more professionally done. I used to have things shipped from here, but the lady owner is very rude, unappreciative of repeat business, not the least bit friendly, and way overpriced (as in, out of control) to where she is taking advantage of hardworking Americans! I spoke with another UPS Store in the area, who advised me that they would have packed up the same exact box that this UPS Store did, for $4-5 less. And they are NOT in Irvington or East Orange. I'll never set foot inside this UPS Store again. Beat me once? OK... But beat me twice? You'll never see me again, or my family/friends. Not the least bit recommended to anyone. Bad customer service. The owner extremely rude. I usually drop off packages on my way to work and she consistently opens the store late. She gives an attitude if you do not have the QR code ready available for her to scan. If you do not package right, she will give you her mind and tell you to pay for tape. read more

They will not miss a chance to make you pay more. The wrong size paper was printed once and she tried to charge me for it. I needed one little sliver of tape to close an envelope and she made me buy a whole new roll of tape! The customer service at the USPS and the Bernardsville UPS store is 100X better! read more

Dear Ladies and Gentleman, Please take care of yourself when dealing with this store with regards to pricing when you walk into the store. I recently(this evening) went in to copy 44 pages of 8.5" by 17" legal size black and white. As with most copy services I assumed it could be somewhere between .10 and .25 at most maybe due to the size of the paper. When I asked how much, the lady said 43.50 including tax. I could not believe that she was charging just under $1 per page for a black and white copy that at a corp. FEDEX store might at most be .20 per page. Prices were not posted anywhere for the services. I walked out feeling as if I had been overcharged $33.00 for 44 simple black and white 8.5 by 17 copies. I paid, was not given a receipt and I will never step foot into the store again. The above are all facts I experienced Monday evening 6pm at the UPS Store in Lyons Mall. Make sure you ask before one page is printed for you, and count your pages printed that you are paying for!!! read more

I've used this UPS for years. They go out of their way to help, and I've given them some tricky international projects of great importance, as well as usual " ings". They are also very fast and professional. A big thank you to them for remaining on the front lines for all of us , especially during the holiday season! I highly recommend them! read more

I went the store w/ amazon return. For some reason amazon gave me a shipping label instead of a QR code. The owner told me to email her my label. I emailed to her store email and then she printed out the label. Then she told me $1.50. I told her you never told me about charging me. she told me " DO YOU HAVE COMMON SENSE? this is not your work , you get charge for everything. I was really upset and totally belittled. I replied to her " Before you do any services/product you are suppose to let the costumer how much you charge them. This is common sense." read more

There is one particular worker there that has a very nasty attitude. Every time I went in with something prepaid and asked for a receipt, the response was " next time just take a picture with your phone." DOH! That doesn't prove that I dropped it off at the store!!! The reason I sought a receipt was because I dropped a few packages in the big box they had for prepaid packages. The packages were lost. When I presented the tracking numbers, the same woman who gave me the attitude about giving me a receipt insisted she could not help me without receipt/label and refused to help any further. When I checked the tracking numbers, none of them had left the store, and since I had no proof that I dropped it off, I was at a loss. Now I go out of my way to use the UPS in Bedminster or Bernardsville instead. They have much better service and none of the attitude. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Maybe my experience was a one off since I don't have to ship things often, but for some reason I had a feeling of dread before entering the store. Most likely because my past experience was sub par and I just couldn't recall it by memory. I didn't have my box taped and I needed to attach the new label. The old shipping label was still on it. I completely understand that doing those things prior to entering will speed up the process, but isn't the point of a store like this to help with that process? The woman that helped me, and I use the word help loosely, talked to me like a child. Told me that removing the old label is such a 'simple' thing. I am used to just covering the old shipping label, so I figured that's what I would do here. She then reprimanded me for not taping the box, basically having a tone with me like I don't care for what I'm shipping and how could I inconvenience her. I thought it would be easy enough tape it in the store. I understand policies where I have to tape it myself, but she could have just explained it to me instead of being condescending. She had the utmost concern for my box not being taped but then used 3-4 pieces of tape and charges me a dollar. If you are gonna do that please just use a whole roll. If she was just a little bit more personable and helpful I would not have written this and not cared. read more

This place is just awful! Completely overcharged me on everything. The owner is totally rude and tried to tell me that her rates are the same as the US post office. She wanted to charge me $18 for a small package and told me that is what I would pay at the post office. I walked out and drove to the post office where I paid $5.00. Never go there. read more

Had our passport photos taken and it was really bad. We assumed they knew what they were doing but after we got home, noticed 1 set came out with a blue background and there were lines around the them as they weren't trimmed properly. Went back and the employee/ manager tried to tell me that it were ok. After I insisted that they don't look right, she took new pictures and printed out using the same printer and it cane out with blue background again. Then she used a different printer (dedicated photo printer) and the background color looked much better. The next day, went to the post office and both set of pictures were rejected as the first set were too pixilated and the 2nd set were 'natural'. Went back for a refund and the same person said that she can't do refund because she printed them. After I told her that they are no use as they were rejected, she would still not agree to do refund. Only after I said I was going to call UPS store corporate, she refunded my money. If you ever need passport photos taken, don't get them from here and save yourself some time and headache. read more

This UPS has been really good to me. I appreciate them, especially now, working on the front lines as an essential business. They take the time to answer my questions and the phone and even meet me at the door to take my package so I don't have to go indoors. So nice and respectful and my package always arrives when they say it will. I highly recommend. read more

I had to overnight a letter and the store manager, though very nice, was so distracted by other customers that it took forever. It did not arrive overnight, which was not her fault. I have filed complaints with four UPS executives and hopefully, one of them cares enough about their company to see why it was just delivered at 12:25 today Monday vs what I paid for, Friday 12/13 at 12N. The store manager said she'd get back to me with an explanation. I had to call back many times, and still she had not had the time to call. Other customers should have been made to wait as this was something critical, as she knew. Had I been a customer at the counter, I would happily have waited so she could handle an emergency - because then I know how seriously she takes service. She gets flustered by too many customers, and a young assistant who is learning the ropes and cannot offer much help. I like to support local businesses but won't go back. I did get a promise of a refund. FEDEX will forever have my business and the ups store in the Bernardsville shopping center will get my other business. Pity the refund is a check vs a refund to my credit card. Not impressive. read more

Terrible customer service. I shipped my son's belongings via six medium size boxes from New Jersey to California around Christmas to my son. Total cost was $570. I didn't have a box for a 40 inch LCD TV, so I bought a box from the store. She charged me over $50 for the box alone. I didn't think TV cost much more than that. Since the TV belonged to my son, I decided to ship it anyway. Few weeks later, one of six boxes came back for unknown reason. I asked her what the reason was. She said the receiver refused to accept the box. So I called my son to verify that information which he denied. I asked her to send that box back since it was clearly UPS's mistake. She said it would cost me another $75 to resend it. Really? She said it was not her problem. I thought UPS stores are part of UPS system. She knows nothing about customer care.
