The manager is soooooo rude! Do not go here! She tries to hide costs left and right and all I wanted was a box! She would argue and all more to the price. "Now, I need to charge you for a piece of tape!" She was so pissy, I didn't even trust her to package my stuff. I actually wanted to do it myself and she got even more pissy! My sister shipped the same thing and it cost her $37 and she charged me $58! There was a super nice guy with dark curly hair though. I do not recommend giving them your business!!!! read more

My son had to have five pages of music bound. When he went to pick it up they did not have it ready because of a computer glitch on their side. He was told to email them and resubmit. Keep in mind he already paid $50. He resubmitted the order and picked it up. The music score copies were five pages each. The spiral was about a half inch wide, it looked horrible and unprofessional as something to submit as a composer. There was no clear acetate cover because..... they ran out? Seriously, no discussion as to the quality they were handing over to him. The girl working there had zero interest in helping. I've always had great service here. They are friendly, professional, fast and knowledgeable. When I have returns, I am in and out of the store in 30 seconds when there is no line. When I've had awkward items I need to ship, they are super helpful with packaging. I like the 15 min parking spots that are right in front of the store (and usually open). Super convenient to have them on the island and I'm glad they're here! read more

I walked in to drop off a prepaid, pre-labeled package and nobody so much as lifted an eyebrow nor greeted me. There was nobody else in line and what appeared to be two available employees. The fellow asked me to place my small package on the scale and simply handed me the receipt without looking at me--almost making a point of his rudeness. This store used to be so pleasant. Now it is filthy and the two men who work there are so unbelievably rude. One employee quoted me a fake high price for mailing an envelope and sold a fake stamp to me. When I told him the stamp he used was fake, he lied to my face and the other worker shouted at me. I fear they are not only bad at customer service in general, but they may be running scams at this location. I took my items to a local USPS store and was told the "stamp" was fake. The clerk at USPS was nice enough to just put a real stamp on my letter from a slush fund of spare change left by others. I will never go to the island UPS store again and urge others to avoid it. The filth alone is reason not to use their store, but the possible fraud is even more alarming. I fear for people who are taking documents there for shredding. Some visits there employees are so helpful! Some visits are neutral. They are very busy. But some (the last visit) the employee was so seething toxicity about their job that I feel sickly reluctant to go back in there. Surely there are some people who need, and can do this job. (But likely they'll have to commute from far away to get there.) Then, there must also be good management. All of this seems less and less likely to happen. Today at 5.20PM we arrived to drop off Amazon returns, two items (24 inch fence posts) 4 to a box. 2 boxes.... Essentially two 2ft by 6 inc by 6 inch boxes which needed to go i to one box. Pretty simple stuff .. imagine my surprise when the sullen, unhelpful, can't wait to go home assistant told me they did not have a box for them ... what does the P stand for, pathetic or parcel I forget .... I could go on buts what's the point, the suggestion was to ask Amazon to provide a second shipping label to allow them to be sent as single not a duo ... from this point forward until my experience there is a good one, they will know be known as Useless Pathetic Service employing at least one ( maybe 2) Unhelpful People Staff.... They provided zero value to us and we rent a mailbox and ship a lot with them so we are not a one and done customer.... I provided the time on purpose as this could be a raining moment or at least not all the staff should be tarred by the on duty ones but the business is as those represented it..... read more

They charge you a fee that is separate from the shipping and box fee for packing the box! You know how long it takes to tape a box, shove the item in there, seal it, then slap the label on it? 0-3 minutes MAX. You know how much they charge to do that? Over $7.00 to pack a small, totally easy to handle, not oversized or heavy box. On top of the $6.00+ they charge you for the box. You've got to be kidding me! read more

Very dependable and professional. I've seen the reps handle very challenging customers with grace. I appreciate that I can count on them and UPS services. I've never had an issue there. I would recommend they establish a bin or box with clear signage for pre-paid drop-offs though, so customers with drop offs who don't need receipts can avoid having to wait in the line. read more

The team at this particular UPS store is always friendly and very helpful. There has never been a problem they couldn't solve. Once, when I was pregnant, I was waiting in line and my blood sugar dropped - they solved that problem too by getting me a chair for me to sit in and checking in frequently to make sure I was ok! Regarding shipping - they can handle it all and do so quite efficiently. It's not the cheapest of services, but worth the convenience. read more

This UPS store is terrific. The manager is very hands on. He calls to follow up on any issues they encounter (I don't encounter any). I've used them for mailing letters, packages, many returns, and notary. They are very quick and efficient so you don't wait on line. They get you in and out. They are very professional. Consistent. The team at the UPS store on Bainbridge just can't get it right. Consistently. I come in at 1 to get my packages. They say none have arrived. At 6pm (when they are about to close and too late for me to rush down and retrieve) I get their form email alert stating in fact I do have a package. Funny though, the time of acceptance was 10:45! 2 hr and 15 before I had been there at the store asking for it! If only they could do the job of actually finding the packages they have already received. This is not acceptable. read more

So disappointed. Starting a new business and need a mailing address for the license, so I went to UPS Store on Bainbridge Island in Washington hoping to get one. There were only two employees and they took a long time with the two customers in front of me, so I had to wait over half an hour for my turn. I had already filled out the paperwork downloaded from their website. When I mentioned that I needed to rent a box, they called a third employee out of the back to do it--by this time, the line behind me was out the door (more than 5 people). Finding out they had another employee there who wasn't helping while the customers were waiting so long was the first shock. The employee took my paperwork and asked for two forms of ID. Seems standard, but said one had to be a photo ID and the other had to have my personal address. I pointed out that my Drivers License had both. He insisted it could only be used for the photo ID, and I needed a different one with my address. I had other photo IDs, but he declared them all unacceptable. He suggested I bring in my vehicle registration. I pointed out that I didn't want to make the rest of the line wait while I hiked back to my car. He then said that since I wanted to use this for a business, I had to have the license. I explained again the last thing I needed for my license was the mailing address--and he told me that didn't work for him. Well, I'll be getting my PO Box at USPS and giving them all my shipping business now. It's more the arbitrary decisions on what constitutes valid ID the lack of concern for their customers time that irked me. I could have worked with the rest. read more

Made the mistake of using their USPS shipping capabilities while dropping off a UPS return. Counter guy didn't know what he was doing, although he assured me that he did. I kept saying I'd just go to the post office but he insisted he could get the job done. Took forever to process a First Class mail label for a letter. Then, instead of informing me that they didn't have access to USPS priority flat rate prices for a box, he wasted my time going through the process to create a shipping label and then quoted me $92 when I was expecting $18. Needless to say, I took the box to the post office. Unfortunately, the UPS Store already processed my first class letter so I left it with the them and proceeded to the local post office to mail my flat rate box. According to the tracking, my first class letter arrived at that same post office (two miles away) 32 hours later. Unacceptable! read more

Although there were a few problems with a disorganized staff at one time, they now have an excellent team. The two people working behind the counter insisted my package (which was thoroughly bubble wrapped and wrapped in paper) be shipped in a box. Oh. Easy enough to fix. Let's do that. They offered to grab one for me. Great, I thought! Butttttttt, as they were ringing me up I was informed that the (cardboard!!!) box was $6.50 and that there were another $8.00'ish in various packing fees (i.e. unceremoniously taping said luxury box). Suddenly my shipping costs more than doubled and my small, two pound package would cost an astonishing $31 to mail. Nope. So yeah, these workers are either, 1) pressured to dishonestly up-sell customers, 2) just clueless, or 3) some combination of the two. Do. Not. Go. Here. read more

I'm not sure how the UPS Store determines its pricing. One of my parcels could be sent via mail said Janelle. I asked how much the surcharge was. She said "pennies." It ended up being 20%. I denied the service. I also attempted to mail a larger parcel; it was $11-ish for 7 day delivery and $40-ish for 3 day. I declined the service, paid $11-ish to the USPS downtown for 3 day delivery (The package was indeed received in 3 days). The experience reminded me of buying concert tickets at a huge mark up. When your package is lost by UPS you need someone to help you through the insurance recovery process, its never fun but Craig, at this store walked me through it; handled all the paperwork, and was my representative when dealing with corporate UPS. I couldn't have asked for more... while the package was lost it was far from Bainbridge Island, but this store took over the process for me. A shout out to Brandon who fielded my many phone calls. The UPS store is everything the USPS is not. UPS facilitates, instead of putting up roadblocks. They not only provide packing materials, they will cheerfully pack for you if you're too lazy. They remember addresses you have sent to previously. They remember you, the customer. They will help you complete complex lading paperwork and explain obscure foreign import duties and how to mitigate such. They will even let know how the USPS pricing compares to their prices if you ask. How on earth does the USPS still stay in business? The chance to chat with complete stranger for 30 min.s while standing in line? Go figure. read more
