This has been one of my favorite UPS Stores, and I've had many good experiences here. The owner and…read moremost of the staff have always been friendly, helpful, and professional. I can normally drop off a package and be out the door within minutes. Unfortunately, my most recent visit changed my impression. I stopped in to return an Amazon package that contained 16 small lights. The package had arrived to me in that same configuration, so I simply wanted to return it the same way to keep the products protected. A female employee opened the larger box and told me that the item didn't need a box. I explained why I had kept it packaged that way, but instead of simply helping me with the return, I felt like I was being lectured about how I should have packed it. She made a comment along the lines of, "You just need to read the instructions." I understand that there may be packing requirements, and I'm always willing to follow them. However, there was no need to make me feel like I was being talked down to over a simple package return. I want to be clear that this review is about that particular experience, not everyone at this location. I've always enjoyed dealing with the owner and the other employees, and they have treated me well. Still, customer service matters. After this experience, I honestly don't feel as comfortable coming back, at least for a while. I'm changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. I'm sharing this honest experience with my 135 million Google Maps readers because I believe businesses should receive both positive feedback and constructive feedback when something doesn't go well.

Customer service was cold and dismissive, and I felt I was overcharged. The amount wasn't large, but it's the principle. As a business owner myself, I tried to calmly talk with the staff about how customers should be treated, as people and not just numbers. I didn't sense any empathy or willingness to listen. Things have changed here, and not for the better. I can't recommend this store for mailbox services or walk-in business. There are USPS and FedEx locations nearby that are worth considering. If you're a doing personal business or are a small business looking for a shipping partner that values your business, this location isn't it.

But anyway. I've thought for a long time that the interior of any Office Depot was a bit dusty and empty looking - in spite of being full! And this location is no different. The furniture in the back especially looks kind of haphazardly arranged. Not very appealing if you are hunting for office furniture. I had fun browsing the school supplies, though, and picked up some cute items, including a fuzzy pencil holder, for a friend. Staff. Must note that the staff here is great. Saturday afternoon, with less than 24 hours of notice till start of event, I called them very last minute with zero hope.
