However, the owner's wife is not fluent in English or Eng not being her first language. Simple requests are misunderstood; as she went ahead and proceeded with printing more copies or item I didn't ask for, the interaction with the owner's wife is domineering and emotionally-fueled. I felt like I didn't have a choice as a customer. I asked for 1 print of 1 picture only to be told that I requested for multiple. Communication is overly-complicated and long when asked simple question such as "exact cost per print this size?" "Just one" "I'll be right back" (as I had to email and look thru files). I don't mind paying for $5 or more. Go for the millennial's employees for help for an uncomplicated, smooth, say-less experience. And to avoid confusion and unnecessary conflict due to mistranslation (English not being owner and owner's wife language). I will have to look for a new-print shop for a chill, non-emotional, logical, simple shopping experience; or show up and seek specific employees for help while avoiding owner's wife.

However, I recently tried to order a product for my business and due to the specificity of the item needed per corporate rules, the signage needed to look a certain way. I asked for an edit and was sent the same image that I received the first time. MMP charges $80 for every round of edits after the first request, and I let them know that I appreciated their time but since the item had to have a specific look I was going to go through a different vendor. They wrote back saying that I wasted their time and never to order from them again. I was pretty surprised because I don't know of anyone that is going to pay for products that they Know are either not what they need, or in my case, unsuitable for use and lead to fines and fees from my company. I also don't know why I would add $80 over and over to my tab for rounds of edits, when they could simply attempt to get it right the first few times. I am taking their advice and will never use them again due to their absolute garbage attitude.

I was in town for a convention last weekend and had the worst customer service encounter I've ever…read moreexperienced. To preface this, I just want to say that I have used other Minuteman Press locations with no problem. I specifically sought out this location because I did not want to go to a Fedex because I've had such a good experience with MP in the past. Well, there's a first time for everything. My friend and I showed up around 9:30 AM on Friday to get a couple of illustrations printed for a comic book convention. The man helping us at the front desk was exceedingly rude to us - which I would have understood if we came in late at the day, but we were there early specifically to get things done fast and be out of everyone's hair. He was grumpy and despite us saying that we needed to be at the convention soon, did not offer any sort of an apology as he kept leaving us to take care of other orders. It's not the lateness that bothered me, but rather his demeanor. It was like he didn't want our business and just wanted us to leave. After finally getting all of our files he said they would be done in about an hour and that he would email us when they were ready to pick up. We did not get a call until past 2 PM. When I called him back, he asked if I had checked my email quote. I told him I never received an email but he insisted that he sent it to me and I needed to tell him yes or no so he can go ahead with the order. Remember - he told us initially that everything would be finished and ready to pick up in an hour. 4 hours later, and he still hadn't gotten around to printing our relatively small order. I told him to go ahead and print it and he guaranteed that we could come pick it up by the end of the day and that he would email us. I did not receive a call nor an email that day. This particular location is also closed on Saturdays and Sundays so that meant that I had no way of picking up my order at all considering I was only in town for the weekend and wouldn't be around Monday. We ended up going to the Fedex located in the convention center instead. The staff there were welcoming and helpful and did not outright lie to us about when our printing would be finished. I do a fair amount of conventions around the country, and if I'm ever back in the area - I will never be using this location again. I would advise other artists to do the same.

Within 1 day Nam Nguyen had a perfect black-and-white print from a photo I emailed to him - and here's the kicker, he didn't charge me for it! Said because we're neighbors (I work on the same block as his shop) it was on the house. And the photo print in black and white is perfect. So rare to meet someone like him, someone who actually listens and is interested and does his best to make someone happy.

The image was a complex mountain landscape with deep shadows, bright highlights, and subtle color transitions. Bumblejax reproduced the file beautifully--the tonal transitions, detail, and color accuracy match my calibrated display remarkably well. The print arrived in extremely sturdy packaging, and the overall craftsmanship is truly gallery quality.
