Are you kidding me? You're going to give me faces and a major attitude after I pay $50 to send $200 worth of gifts and I ask kindly if I can watch it be packed? What alternate universe am I in? Asking to watch expensive items be packed and sealed is sorta a part of a shipping service. The woman gave major attitude acting like I'm crazy for waiting to see it packed and sealed and she said "uhh well you're gonna have to wait cause I have other packages to pack first..." (she had ONE). I said nicely, "oh that's fine" and found myself apologizing TO HER after for wanting to make sure it's all good before I leave. ??? I only came to this location bc I had an errand right near there but naw not going to again. I usually go down the road by abuellas restaurant where the guy who works there is a total sweetheart. He usually packs with me. Lesson learned. read more

We've used them for shipping things out, for buying supplies, and for their notary services. They always treat us with dignity, respect, and with an up beat attitude of professionalism, and they work at a quick and steady pace. The store always looks clean and organized. Once again, the lazy Burnsville, NC UPS driver (under control of Asheville UPS center)- has failed to deliver my "two day air service" package on time. The UPS "tracking" site says my package had "arrived" and was "out for delivery today" - but it did not show up. The Burnsville UPS driver delivered packages today to several of my neighbors, but not my package, which I paid $18.00 extra for, in a vain attempt to get the lazy, uncarring local UPS driver to deliver on time! He did the same "delay without explanation" previously and later told me he "could not find my package"- which according to UPS-Asheville Manager "Adriane" was in fact on his truck the day he was scheduled to deliver the "two-day air service" package! -It took Asheville UPS over a week and multiple phone calls and emails to finally get it to me! To Asheville/Burnsville UPS- You are a bunch of lying, lazy, customer-over charging CROOKS that should have been fired by UPS the same day they hired your lazy, slo, liar asses! -And I was a UPS driver back in the 1980s, when UPS was a responsible company that cared about their customers who keep UPS in business. Asheville UPS-You lazy trolls should be ashamed of yourselves! read more

He treated packaging the equipment with such care, knowing that if the package was in any way not in the exact condition as shipped, I would not be able to return it. I don't know why this company exists! So I was returning a single clothing item and provided the employee with the company's printed return form that had the address in big, bold writing. I didn't notice it at the time but the employee transposed two numbers in the zip code so it got returned since the delivery person could not find the non-existent address. When I went back to the store, the employee (the same one who entered the wrong zip code) told me that I would have to pay to re-ship the item. They said I signed off that the address was correct so they are not responsible. I called their customer service and they said the same thing. So, I basically paid them to make a mistake and I'm responsible because I couldn't see the tiny writing on the receipt. Not only that but they charged me at a 1 lb shipping rate when the item only weighed .25 lbs. Their website says they're "committed to world-class customer service". What world is that? Dune?! Middle Earth?! Dante's Nine Circles of Hell?! read more

I walked out after deciding not to ship my package. Why? Because the clerk's first question was, "what is your phone number?". Despite my preference not to give my cell phone number to every store and corporate entity in Asheville (thereby ending up in countless marketing databases), I caved, and gave it to her. She took my (wide-open, untaped) package. Her next question: "show me your driver's license." I asked why, and her answer was dissembling: "It's required", she said. "Really", I asked? "Oh, yes", she replied, telling me that national security requires it. She the jerked her thumb toward a framed print on the wall that asserted that "UPS requires the customers present a valid government-issued ID when shipping from this location." Wait, I thought ... if national security requires such a thing, then you'd have to show a driver's license at the US Post Office in order to ship. But you don't! I thanked the clerk and left with my package. Two miles up the road, the extremely professional and helpful clerk at Fed-Ex/Kinko's store at Swannanoa and Biltmore was happy to ship my package ... with no phone number and no driver's license. My platinum American Express Card was all that was needed. As it should be. read more

For business, we've been using mail box stores in various locations across 6 states for over 20 years. Now it's primarily for personal use. We receive a high volume of incoming packages and this store never misses a beat. For outgoing packages, shipping rates are higher than direct to a corporate location, as others have commented, but people should realize this is how much it probably costs to make handling shipments worth it to this small business - they're an independent store, not part of UPS corporate!! Yes, you'll pay a little more for the convenience of not having to battle through traffic to find another location. If you feel the extra few dollars isn't worth it, drive for 15 minutes somewhere else. It sometimes surprises me how friendly the employees are at this location, despite the often rushed, rude, and sometimes nasty people I see they have to encounter on a continuous basis - hats off to this UPS store, thank you for being there for us. read more

So... I walked in the UPS store not real sure how to print a few things from my email. I was greeted with a smile and helped immediately I think her name was Christine she explained to me she was new but she would help me the best she could. She was a gem. Smiling and laughing it was a wonderful experience. She also informed of many things that UPS can do and I had no clue. I don't even live close but I would make that drive daily. read more
