Katie saved the day! I had a bad experience before coming to Katie, who helped me walk out with a super cute cut/color. I had asked for a shaggy bob with curtain bangs, in a red/blonde shade. Unfortunately, I'd ended up with a badly uneven sorta-bob, micro bangs, unblended layers, a lot of weight at the bottom, and splotchy balayage. Katie worked a lot of magic and set me up with a near-replica of the inspo pic I'd been going for initially. She did the impossible and salvaged my too-short bangs, plus showed me how to style them until they grow back fully. I love the shaggy bob she gave me and the super-dimensional color is my favorite I've ever had! I can't recommend this salon and specifically Katie enough! I am SO grateful I found The Untamed Society! Every employee is so kind and the whole atmosphere is so welcoming and fun spirited and also modern and grown which is nice to have in Everett. I feel like I'm in the city (in the best way) when I come here. The first time I stopped in was on my birthday and I got a lash lift and tint, along with eyebrows as well as getting my hair cut. Kam does my hair now (I'm a regular now ), and I trust that chick on everything; I never have any idea what I'm talking about and I know she has so much knowledge and experience up in the noggin. She's literally so fun to see and I'm genuinely grateful I found a hairstylist I'm comfy with. I just realized the first time I saw her I was talking about my dad who passed too (and I'm not that open about my life, so to say...), I'm genuinely getting "home" vibes from The Untamed Society, without all the toxic weirdness some places who are "like a family" have. I have been a client for a couple of months. I noticed they had a stylist that excels in ethnic hair. My husband is Black Latino with a very distinct texture. We were very skeptical,I but Kamryn brought her A-game! I cannot tell you how happy my sweet husband was when she brought out SCISSORS!! He has been through so many "barbers" that just butcher his hair with clippers, the most recent for our son's wedding! He has expressed his happiness many times and I love the way it turned out. Okay this review is going to be a bit lengthy and honestly words aren't quite enough to express how thankful I am for the entire Untamed family but I am going to try. Not only is the entire team at Untamed extremely talented and professional, but they also go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I especially want to mention Gabby and her incredible patience and skill when it came to cutting my little brother's hair. His autism can make it challenging for him to sit still, but Gabby took the time to make him feel at ease for the entire appointment. Additonally after my sister's surgery, Gabby went above and beyond to make sure she felt confident with her newly shaved head. She found the time to stay late on her day off to provide the perfect cut and support, which meant the world to us. Now I can't go without mentioning the incredible work of Ruthie, who managed to clear up my skin with practically one visit. Her advice has been invaluable in helping me maintain clear, healthy skin ever since. And then there's Katie - I've been going to her for the past six years, from the days of dying my hair in her bathroom to now watching her grow into a successful salon owner. Her dedication and passion for her craft are truly inspiring, and it's been amazing to see her journey from beauty school to owning her own salon. I couldn't be more proud to call her both my stylist and one of my closest friends. I cannot begin to tell you how much we love the Untamed Society. Gabby just cut our almost 6 year old boy's hair and it was a miracle. We have had the hardest times with haircuts in the past - trauma for the whole family. Gabby earned our son's trust instantly and it was the calmest, most peaceful experience. These folks are THE. BEST. I usually get my hair cut on a Friday and I walked in a week before my scheduled date because I am a dumbass. And they fit me in like champs without missing a beat.
