So once my local barber in town decided to change careers to better his family, I found this place. I've been going to Rob for years now. Before Rob, I'd feeling like I was having anxiety attacks from the randoms that think they know how to cut hair. Rob is the best there is. He's a perfectionist and will always put in the time so do a quality haircut. Polite, professional, and all around great guy. This dude even came to the Hospital to cut my hair when I was at Providence! Man that was the lowest time in my life too. I hit him up, and he came straight to my hospital room after work. I highly recommend coming to this barbershop than any other shop around. Even if I moved hours away, I'd make the drive just to get my haircut here. read more

I have no problem telling anybody that asks where to get a hair cut about the Fade Lounge. Rob has been my barber for about 12 years now. Consistently cutting my hair every 2 weeks, and not once have I been disappointed. I've brought friends in for walk-in cuts and the result is always the same. Rob takes time to make sure you are happy with your cut, and will make changes whenever asked (without hesitation). He will give you his opinion however, if he feels something may fit you better. My advise would be to listen, cause he's usually right. As long as I live in the area I will drive the 30 minutes for a great cut. Rather then a mediocre cut for convenience. read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Rob since I was 14... I'm 26 now and have gotten my hair cut by someone else ONCE since then only because Rob was out of state. I'm a weekly customer and he does a perfect job each and every time, he's patient and makes sure that you're happy with the end result and wants to make sure the job is done correctly. He takes a crazy amount of pride and joy in his work while being professional and polite at the same time. You'll never have to feel uneasy or nervous about stepping foot in this barbershop, it's almost like hanging out with family! read more

This barber shop is solid! Customer service is GREAT. Jamarcus cleaned me up just right after 3 years of dreadlocks. Precise, clean, meticulous in his work. Appreciate your work man! Lieu is my favorite barber ever--funny, sweet, fast, thorough, never makes a mistake. She usually cuts my hair. By now, though, I think everybody here has cut me at least once. She and her husband Dan work their fingers to the bone running this place, and sometimes they get a day off. If she's not working, that's the rare time I get a different cutter. They're all great, so fastidious and thorough. They make sure to get the entire head clean, and they have that old-school touch with the strop razor. I really dig that for some reason. A lot of them are really quiet, but one girl was almost as chatty as Lieu, telling me all about her family's pets. Which actually involved some pretty entertaining stories. I respect both approaches--get 'em in, get 'em out, or be super neighborly and social. Maybe I just never end up in here when I am in a hurry, but I love the laid back, chatty atmosphere. I have always thought that's what a barber shop is, I guess. They have two big screens in the room to pass the time while you wait (no reservations), and always a fresh stack of magazines. Since Dan is a soccer maniac (still playing at tournament level), the TVs are often tuned to soccer when he's on, which is almost every day.
