Funky place and I did actually go check about getting a haircut because I used to go to a Barber Shop in the U District in Seattle and they give great women's haircuts, not afraid to go short! I was told by the man inside here very rudely that his wife does not cut women's hair. At all. Couldn't believe it, such discrimination in 2022. I went to this Barber a long time back but recently decided to start going to her on a permanent basis. I am 88 years old, live in Everett and I no longer wish to drive from Everett to Snohomish to get my hair cut as I have been doing. She gives a first-class hair cut at a more than reasonable price which caused me to decide that she is going to be the only barber I will got to from here on out. I wish there was a negative star rating to give this place, it will be well deserved. This barber shop should not be in business, you don't have the right to cater to only a certain group of people or a particular race or color. Here's exactly what happened and I'll let the readers decide what these people (owners) really are. I pulled up in my car at 8:57AM (Shop Opens at 9AM) to get a hair cut as we had a wedding to attend to that day. I take a minute to look at the place from the outside while I was parked in my car because the place looks like a 60's clown circus show, which was weird but I was desperate to get a cut at this time, my day was busy. I was in a new Jetta so it wasn't the car. The male owner walks OUT of his shop to tell me that they are all booked for the entire day, mind you, at this time, I had barely walked out of my car and hadn't even opened my mouth to utter a word. When I asked, how could they be booked all day since they DONT TAKE APPOINTMENT, and the shop opens at 9AM? He proceeded to tell me that I should have gotten there EARLIER! ( I arrived three minutes before their advertised opening time). There was a woman at the front desk with red hair that looked me up and down and was smirking. I'm a well dressed brown person, not sure what the heck she was looking at. Not that it should matter, I was trying to get a hair cut, not a courtship. They made me feel awful, it was not a good feeling to be discriminated against, and it's not OK for anyone to attend this establishment just because they accept a certain race of people, even if you are not a racist, you are still supporting their cause. If they are not racists, then they are horrible business people, you don't walk out of your shop to turn down a customer, that never happens to anyone. You wait until the customer walks in to tell them the bad news. read more

I've gotten my hair cut here a few times. The cut is always solid, well-done, and professional. The straight-razor shaving of the neck is a neat touch. I've never had an issue with the haircuts. Last time I was in, Faux news was on the TV. I will not patronize a business that promotes / displays Faux news just as I will never visit anywhere that supports the far right/nazi party. Bummer - good barbers are hard to find. Haircuts are great, propaganda not so much. read more

I have been taking my son here for a couple of years. Why? He loves going. Brenda and her husband are always warm and friendly, it's like visiting friends each time we go there. At each visit, Brenda makes it a point to cut his hair exactly as he wants it, she really makes it a point to make sure he is happy with his haircut. As fun as she is to talk to, she is just as great in her hair cutting skills. It's also a plus that she is up to date on every hair style trend for men. Simply the best barber! Oh, and to reply to Bassam A (8/30/17) please don't go there, don't do the race thing. We are ethnic people and the fact that you said what you said about Brenda and her husband is rubbish. They do take appointments and they are very popular (for good reason) and do get booked up for the day. Your demand for a haircut would have inconvenienced the guy who took the time to plan ahead and make the appointment, but maybe its the fact that you just don't care about anyone else. read more
