Jessie is so knowledgable and even explained stuff that was going on to make her more trustworthy. Got a trim & balayage. I was able to book the appointment a couple weeks out because she had a cancellation that I saw on her Instagram story. I've been seeing Genessee since it was Namaste. She is wonderful. My hair has been changing from hazel/brown to salt & pepper and now more salt than pepper. It was very thick however over the years it's getting thinner. The shop is always clean and staff very friendly. Their services are many and varied. They also offer Massage and Esthetician services. Renata is an independent Massage Therapist who has a very comfortable and relaxing room at Salon Prisma. I have not yet tried Kayla-Esthetician services. Something for the future. read more

After enjoying a proper service at a different salon, I am knocking this rating to down one star. Unlike Travis, my new stylist actually likes my hair. I can't believe I sat in Travis's chair FOUR TIMES and listened to him diss my hair. He said it's too fine for layer, too damaged to wear at my preferred length, too this and too that. I didn't realize it, but Travis did a crappy job on my color and completely ignored the back. He told me I should buy all of my products at Namaste without giving me any other reason than the suggestion that my money was theirs for the asking. Today I feel much better. I believe Travis actually hates doing hair because he flat-out told me that all he could see was the money in a head of hair. "When I see hair, I see money," he said. What kind of stylist says that to a client? I'm glad I know better now than to shell out hundreds of dollars to someone who makes me feel ugly and devalued. read more

I don't usually take the time to leave reviews but this place is just that good. I originally went there because they were having a Groupon sale for sugaring, which I was curious about. I had heard before from reviews for other places that if you go in because you had a Groupon they give you a lesser treatment than if you were a normal client but I didn't see anything like that in the reviews for this place so I decided to take the leap and I was not wrong, that sugaring session was very nice, painful, but I expected nothing else. That was 3 years ago, jump forward to present day, I just had a Brazilian wax done (paid full price and it was just as good as the Groupon treatment) with Amanda, she is amazing. She is so nice, so easy to talk to, her taste in music was great too! She did it very fast, while still getting everything off and explaining what was happening, which is very nice especially if you are nervous about it or new to getting waxed. I especially liked that she would do a painful area and then a not-so-painful area, giving you a chance to recover so you wouldn't feel like you were being tortured hahaha. Namaste is excellent for hair care, cutting and styling. I've gone to that location since before the Namaste group took over, and it's grown better and better. Gennesee has given advice on hair care and cut mine after chemotherapy. Believe me, she had every imaginable type and color of hair on various spots over my head, and it has looked beautiful each time she cut and styled it for the past 3 years. She's even had to handle a variety of kinky and curly hair in different places. They are careful about COVID risk; the salon is scrupulously clean, and your personal area cleaned during hour treatments. Went here for a brow wax and tint today. So pleased that they are close by AND reasonably priced- only $27 for the package deal! Very nice layout, ambiance, decor- friendly receptionist- and Brooke who did my brows is highly recommended. Very personable, friendly, and super quick without feeling much pain. I should start by saying that I did not just "happen" to find this salon. Kyli is a long time stylist of mine. In fact, she was my beauty school instructor years back. Kyli does AMAZING hair and when she was on her maternity leave, I felt lost without her and had some awful salon experiences elsewhere. My second visit to namaste salon and spa was a nightmare and I definitely will not be returning. I called hoping to make an appointment for a Brazilian sugaring with Sadie, but was told she no longer worked there. Sadie was awesome and was the reason I decided to give this place another go. Unfortunately, I made an appointment with another esthetician, Sara, and boy was that a mistake. When I got to Namaste, the esthetician then told me she didn't do sugaring, she only did wax. First red flag. I've had waxes done before, but this was by far the most painful. There was no communication on what was being done which made things really awkward and she was really messy (WAX EVERYWHERE!!!). Second red flag. After she finished (which she didn't because I still had patches of hair here and there) she just left the room with no clear instructions on what to do next. So I just got dressed and left the room. Didn't even see me out or give me advice on after care. Worse of all, when I got home, I felt a stinging pain on my bikini line. LAST RED FLAG: THIS B---- TORE MY SKIN!!! I'm so shocked because this has NEVER once happened before in the 10 years of me getting Brazilian waxes. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS NEW ESTHETICIAN!! AND I WILL NOT BE COMING HERE ANY LONGER. read more

Sadie was very nice and made me feel comfortable. It was my first time getting the sugar Brazilian and she explained the difference between a regular wax and the sugar. The conversation during the session wasn't awkward and she told me what she was doing as she was doing it. The session didn't take long, I was in and out and my wax is amazing! I'll def be back soon! I have been going to get my lashes done on and off for 18 months. Sadie is awesome, super sweet and does a great job of achieving the look you want whether it's full or more natural. I had previously rated this salon a 5 because of Sadie and if this review was about her alone it would stay a 5! Sadly, the owner, Heather, is not the type of person I want to do business with. Twice now my lashes have all fallen out within a week. My eyes water quite a bit due to the gel pads but I've never had all of the lashes fall out, let alone twice at one salon. The first time this happened Sadie offered to do a new set free of charge and tried a different type of lash that is supposed to adhere better. She was right, we had no problems since. I stopped going for a bit due to scheduling issues, the next set I got fell out on less than a week. I called the salon on the 5th day when I had already lost more than half and the owner said they would redo them at no cost. I made the soonest appointment I could which was 2 weeks after I called. I went in today and Sadie said she needed to talk to me about pricing because Heather just told her that they would charge me for a fill bc I needed to do the volume lashes rather than the regular. They gave me two options, either pay $85 or $150, what?!! I just paid $150 for a set that fell out on a week. I also drove 45 mins and got a sitter so I could get my lashes redone at no charge (the original agreement) and now they surprise me with this. I told Sadie I was happy to talk to Heather or she could relay the message first and let her know that I I would either like the full set free or take a refund of the set that failed. Sadie came back and said she is so sorry but Heather won't budge so they are going to refund me. I'm in shock, what a waste of time and a sitter. The worst part was Heather didn't even attempt to talk to me she basically hid in the back. Spineless and not how I would run a business. I wish the people that work there, especially Sadie, great success but will NEVER go there again. read more

All I have to say is Svetlana is the best! She always makes sure I get a great cut and color. She also has am amazing energy about her which makes you feel comfortable "in the chair". I have been going to her for several years now and I can honestly say that she is dedicated to what she does. She is constantly going back for more education, telling me about new things she has learned, and really focuses on you as a whole person, which is how you are going to get an amazing "do" that fits you. Namaste as a whole is really a fantastic place also, much better than the salon most of the staff was at before. The location is great with plenty of parking with the only downside is that it is a little bit of a drive from where I live. You really should definitely go here if you're looking for a stylist you can actually stick with. read more

This review is about stylist TRAVIS Hopkins at Namaste salon. I have never written a review on any business before but was so appalled by this unethical, unprofessional behavior of TRAVIS I had to warn other victims of his shady unethical business practices. My experience with TRAVIS HOPKINS: 1. Charged me $200.00 for a multi-dimensional foil that I never requested or received ( paid $120 for standard foils for past 4 years). 2. Upcharged me for power-dose treatments I didnt request or receive ($40.00 per treatment). 3. Last but not least TRAVIS bragged and laughed to the other stylists how he sucked up to me and then up charged me. My daughter and I have been happy and satisfied customer of stylist Renee for over 10 years now. I would never have chosen to switch stylists, nor have I even thought about it prior, but circumstances with her health led us to go to another. In summary, TRAVIS HOPKINS is unethical and should not be representing L'OREAL where he teaches (sent them a letter too), or be working as a licensed stylist. TRAVIS HOPKINS IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! He has cut and colored my hair multiple times and it always turns out perfect! He makes the entire experience of getting your hair done so much more than an appointment. He is so fun and sweet to talk to, I always feel like I'm catching up with an old friend rather than just getting my hair recolored. This past summer I got married and asked Travis early in the year if he would be the one to do my hair (and my bridesmaids) for my special day...he said YES of course! The entire experience working with him was so much better than I could have ever wanted! Travis spent so much time and effort into making my hair absolutely flawless for my wedding day. We did multiple trial runs trying all kinds of styles until it was perfect- he not only matched it to pictures that I had brought him, but also to go with the theme of my wedding and of course my dress! He also planned a "look" for my bridesmaids hair that went perfectly with my hair style. Weeks before the wedding, Travis touched up my hair color in a way that would enhance my wedding up-do. My husband and I had a second reception the night after our wedding and Travis planned a hair style for that night as well. I wore an gorgeous indian sari that night and he created and up-do that complimented the dress- it was flawless and very different than the wedding night (which was EXACTLY what I wanted!). On the morning of my wedding day, Travis was exactly who I needed doing my hair and my bridesmaid's hair. He was worked incredibly fast, we actually were all ready earlier than planned (...which never happens with bridal parties)! More importantly, his overall presence that morning was amazing- he so happy and excited to be there (unlike my dull makeup artist!!) and I truly felt I couldn't have picked a better person to be there with my and my girls that morning. I can't express enough how wonderful Travis is. He is extremely talented and I absolutely recommend him. He is so much more than a good hairstylist, he makes the experience of getting your hair done feel like so much more than that! He has become a dear friend of mine and I will be forever grateful for everything that he did for me on my wedding day- I was so lucky to have him there. THANK YOU TRAVIS!! Sadie is amazing! First off she is such a professional! And second she is knowledgeable about skin care and how to keep a good routine! She sugars my Brazilians and I had done somewhere previous to hers and it was much more painful! Her technique is awesome it's way more painless! Your in good hands with Sadie! Takes her less then 2 hours to give a full foil and with a cut included in price. Even when I had long hair it was under 200 dollars which for full foils and a cut is a price that can't be beat!!!! First, I should tell you this salon was adorable. The blonde girl at the front was not only beautiful, but so sweet. Today I was getting my first sugaring Brazilian and was terribly nervous. She calmed me, and told me their esthetician was great. Sadie came out and greeted me/walked me back. I told her how scared I was and she reassured me I would be okay and that she was quick. To be clear, I did not get a bad cut. I had an appointment this week, I wanted several layers in my cut. We were less than 30 minutes into my hair cut and I asked the person cutting my hair if it could be layered /cut a bit more, and he told me he could,but he would HAVE to charge me for a second hair cut. There was no one else waiting (even when I left there was no one else there), and I was told a regular appointment ran about 45-50 minutes. I have never had that happen. I will not be going back. Not because of the cut, but that attitude. I bought a lot of product before I left. I left feeling ok with the cut although I really would have liked more layers, it certainly was not bad, but 2 days later I booked with a different salon and they added the layers I wanted and only charged me $20. read more

I'd follow Travis to the ends of the earth. I have been seeing Travis for decades from Queen Anne, Capitol Hill in Seattle to Edmonds, Washington. Travis is both a master chemist and a consummate artist when it comes to color. As for cuts, he not only tamed my super thick coarse hair but actually cut it in a way that I could replicate without effort ie - shake it when I get out of the shower. Travis Hopkins is very professional with great work ethics! Colleagues and friends always ask when I get my hair did who's your hair stylist and they all go to him for their hair beauty treatments. The location ideally needs to be local and convenient, and the stylist needs to warm and friendly, as well as being efficient. When I saw a groupon for a facial I jumped at the chance. This was my first visit to this salon, I think they just recently started offering facial services, but the room is nice, and the girl did a great job. I got the signature facial: love the products they used, massage is good, more extensive than some, I wanted more of a focus on blackheads and she accommodated that by cutting my massage to make time for a good extraction. Great experience, I only give it a four star because of the price. I can pay the exact same amount and get a facial at Gene Juarez where the atmosphere (room, bed, music) is just slightly nicer. read more
