With that said, my simple #2 or #3 for the side, straight up with soft edge, hasn't been how I like it from a lot of barbers; instead of straight up, the center bulges out or transition to my right to left comb-over looks ragged. Its been a challenge to find a shop with more than one barber that I like. After many years of experiencing different barbers, I find I have higher success with Vietnamese barbers. I've been here four times in the past year. I was using 44th St Barber. The first time, I thought service was equivalent to 44th. 44th has a lot of barbers and rarely any wait time, I was satisfied but most of the time it wasn't exactly how I want it, but really like Justin and Tony. I happy I can go to either place. After the second visit, I finally have great haircut. My son's wasn't how my wife like it. However at the third visit, I really like how Hannah cut my hair. My wife thought Dan cut my son's hair exactly how she wanted it. My first time here was with Tina, second with Kim and today with Dan, and very happy with the result. Note bring cash to saved on card fees. To comment on customer service, I've been in Vietnam several times and their tone and service is not culturally like the US, and the US is far from the Japanese (amazing from my experience), after our second visit they were more open sharing family stories, but usually I'm in and out - IMHO its a barber not a spa. My experience is solely for men's barber service and have never used other services, except my wife for her trim.

Gio also gave me a complimentary super styled razored cut after to make my layers whispy and give volume to the perm. Perm & cut still looks amazing and full curls four months later and very healthy, no split ends or color damage. Gio is very talented, kind and man of few words. He's so gentle and generous with the Korean elders. Will take my children for cuts & perms from Seattle. You have to keep calling the phone to make an appt, stay dedicated, it's worth the drive & wait!
