Ashley A is not only a delightful human being, but an amazing stylist as well. I've seen Ashley for upkeep of my pixie a couple of times, but my most recent cut is what brought me to yelp to leave a review. I've had some variation of a pixie for over 15 yeas and always left every haircut not exactly happy with the bang part until I saw Ashley last week. Ashley took the time to look at pictures with me (Ashley even suggested pictures to ME!) and talk with me about what I did and didn't like about my current length/style. I had my first haircut (which I loved!) with Ashley at her last salon so when I saw on Instagram that she was moving to Wilder I knew I'd follow her right away! Wilder is run by a group of super fun, fierce boss ladies! They were all super welcoming and nice! Bonus: they were listening to a true crime podcast (I'm obsessed with true crime podcasts! but don't worry if you're not, they asked if I was OK with it before they actually played it, they usually play music) for me however, it was the BEST experience! Ashley is just amazing at what she does! I swear the pinterest pictures I had have nothing on my actual haircut, THAT'S how good it looks! I'll def be back for a haircut when it's time, and also when I need a refresh on my balayage. read more

Everyone knows it is soooo hard to find a salon & stylist that you love & trust, so once you do, you never let it go! That is the case for me with Marissa and Wilder Salon. Not only is the aesthetic appeal of the place amazing (PNW natural with a modern twist), the owner and all of the staff are welcoming and professional (the cute little salon pup, a french bulldog named Nomi, adds some bonus cuteness). No matter if I have gone in for a complete change up in color and style, or a freshen up, Marissa always manages to create something natural looking and low maintenance. Even as my hair grows out and takes it's daily beating of heat styling, over-washing, etc., my hair always looks amazing. I was first drawn to this salon. because one of the Yelp review mentioned the stylists listening to a true crime podcast. Sold! My visit today included relaxing tunes and a couple pets to Gnomey (spelling?) the cute salon dog. I met Ashley Mae for the first time and she listened to my confusing hair cut request. Layers but also some blunt ends. Cut off the dead stuff, but not too short. You know the most vague instructions that are not super helpful.. :) Somehow she was able to understand what I wanted and I was given an awesome hair cut. I will definitely be back to talk about dogs, hair, and tv recommendations. read more

Ashley cuts a stellar pixie, Marissa is blonde haired goddess, and Sierra is a Balayage Queen! These girls know fashion and how to make you feel like family. I have had my hair cut by BOTH of the Ashley currently working there, and they BOTH did a fantastic job! They listen, they ask questions, they listen more. Checkin in at various steps, to ensure I don't leave until I love it. Service is fast and fabulous, and environment is friendly, warm, and clean. I loved this place! I saw Amy and she's so talented. This place takes safety and cleanliness very seriously.

My hair stylist of 5+ years moved to NYC so I needed to find a new one ... always stressful. Amy came highly recommended from a friend. And let me tell you that Amy did not disappoint, she exceeded my expectations. She listened to my hair goals and went over my hair inspiration photos. She knew exactly what I was going for and explained the process - ladies if you don't know this already, you can't go from brunette to blonde in just one appointment. Wilder & Co Salon is super cute inside & all the ladies that work there are fun & friendly. I am beyond thankful that I found Amy and Wilder & Co. Meh. Got a long cut here a few months ago and while the customer service is fine (staff is friendly, unsure what their policy is re: masks but they seem to be following CDC guidelines), my cut was...not great. I gave it a few months to see if it was the sort of thing that would look better as it grew out but no dice. If the cut was so badly executed the first time, I doubt it could be fixed with a return visit...I won't be going back. read more
