This place was nice and welcoming if you are looking for a very basic, run of the mill salon with your average cuts. Having just recently moved to the area, I was looking for a new stylist. It took me a long time to find someone previously who did my cut just the way I wanted. So I stopped by one evening into Eclipz to ask if they would be able to replicate my cut that was 4 weeks out. I was told, "sure, I can do that.. I can book you in two weeks, bring pictures of your cut also" I thought great, they seem confident enough to nail this cut. And when I went, I showed photos of my haircut when it was fresh.. and my stylist at Eclipz didn't really seem to be interested. My cut has always been more of an edgier, stacked a-line bob. Longest parts near my chin and then gradually up. Something that was clearly shown in my photos. And when I was done at Eclipz, my hair has this very conservative, traditional church mom bob thing done.. I was mortified, I asked if she can chop off this weird low hanging part on the sides, but she said "that's part of the cut"... well, it wasn't like the photos I had shown, and I don't have this part normally.. plus I couldn't get it corrected at this point since the front part was too short to create the style I had requested. So, I cannot recommend this place if you are looking for a creative spin on any cut. If you want a traditional take.. go for it. The stylist was also unable to get my name right, even after the cut she thought I was some other woman entirely.. read more

I've been seeing Lyndsey for several years now, and have always been very pleased with her cuts and colors. I am disabled, and she is always accommodating and sensitive. I've been seeing Heather for ages and I'm always satisfied when I walk out the door. The salon is clean, with high end atmosphere and reasonable prices. They also have a collection of up to date magazines for those in the waiting area. What I also love is that they call to confirm your appointment the day before. Decided I needed a change with my gross long hair that I so poorly maintain. I have a little one so finding the time to go get my hair done is rare. I got in the same day I was calling around so I was excited when I got booked with Lyndsey in the afternoon! I showed her what I had in mind with what I wanted to do with my hair and she was so great. She talked with me on what's possible to do during our appointment (I wanted to go relatively blonde but I'm Asian with dark hair). She double checked with me on the length as she was cutting which I loved. I wasn't surprised at the end with a weird length that I didn't have in mind. She was thorough and so nice to talk to! Facial with Sheanna. Checked in with reception and had a bunch of forms to fill out. Sheanna went through the completed information to make sure she understood my existing skin condition and product usage. I liked that because it shows she cared about my concerns and paid attention to which ingredients my skin might react badly towards. After changing into a robe she washed my face, then steamed then left on an exfoliating cream. During this time she massaged my forearms and hands. After my face was rinsed she started the extraction process. Next was a shoulder and neck massage. Lovely...so relaxing. Facial completed with application moisturizer , eye cream and lip cream. The products she used is a line called ImageNow. Five stars for Sheanna. She is detail oriented and she is gentle. I liked that I didn't get stuff in my eyes. What I would have liked was something to cover my eyes during the extraction. Even though my eyes were shut I still found the light a little bright. Ambiance: I would give this a 1 star. It's too noisy. The bed is heated but the room is badly located. It is right next to the waiting area where clients check in. Everyone coming and going walks by. The sliding wooden door does a poor job of blocking out noise. You could hear a lot of talking. There is blaring music in the salon. There is other music in the facial room and the competing music during the massage does not relax. After I checked out I find out that Sheanna is leaving. Too bad. She is an excellent aesthetician. If they are interested in building their business they should reevaluate the location of the room. read more

I tried Eclipz because my long time hair person stopped doing hair and Eclipz had really good reviews. I got there and Lindsey was totally ready for me, listened to all of the bad hair choices I've made over the last 2 years (since my gal quit), and agreed the picture I brought would definitely be doable for my hair type. The whole experience took about 35 minutes or so including styling it for an event I had that evening. I got a ton of compliments that night and felt great. What absolutely amazed me though was when I washed and dried it the next day, it looked AMAZING! I didn't have to "do" it, I didn't put any product in it I literally washed and dried it and was totally ready to go. The cut is perfect, it has a ton of body, and my coworkers have raved about it! I consider myself a very critical person, especially when it comes to haircuts. I have had my own hair done at the same place with the same lady for years. Today I decided to try a salon for my daughter and let me just say, this place was simply amazing. From the moment we walked in I knew this place was special. Greeted immediately, wait was short and the staff was all very welcoming. The experience at Eclipz went from good to great when we met Hanna! My daughter is 7 years old and extremely shy. She hardly ever talks more then a few words when first meeting people - Hanna had her talking right away! She made her feel comfortable and to my amazement was able to hold a conversation with a super shy kid. Unlike other experiences Hanna took time to pay attention to my daughter which was very important. The hair cut itself was perfect as well. Hanna took her time and went above and beyond for my princess. She washed her hair, did beautiful layers, took the time to french braid her hair, and topped it off with my daughters favorite - sparkles. I'm glad I took the chance on this salon, I was not disappointed in the slightest. My fiance will be coming to see Hanna very soon. I came to this salon for a hair cut because of high recommendations from the Bothell community page on Facebook. My stylist was Hannah. She was very sweet although I did not like my haircut at all. I had a basic trim / cut with mid length hair, but now one side of my hair seems thinner than the other side and my bang is way too short. I called the salon asking for an appointment as soon as they were available and I immediately was scheduled a haircut. 10 minutes later I was inside, and offered a drink. For the second time, Hanna did a wonderful job at listening at what I wanted and made suggestions of what would fit best with my hair type. My hair really did feel healthier after the deep conditioning and my cut was great! The combination of the haircut and deep conditioning was about 1 hour. I highly recommend this place. read more

The haircuts here are great by both Whitney and Lindsey, but the cleanliness of the salon really needs improvement. The whole place is shop worn and could use a lot of paint touch up and dust is everywhere, especially on shelves and decorations above eye level and the last time, the hair washing sink did not look clean. read more

I always go to Eclipz for my hair cut (male). Its a great atmosphere, great service, and they do a great job cutting hair. I get my hair cut by Whitney. She's great to talk to, understands the hair cut you want, and executes it with detail. I have even recommended my Fiance' and mother to go to her. I have never been so happy with a hairstylist until I met Lyndsey! I was beyond nervous to change my hair (I added bangs and cut a few inches off) and change my hair color for the first time in 2 years but as soon as I spoke to Lyndsey about my ideas and concerns she immediately put me at ease! Had my first appointment with Lindsey. She was wonderful and I will be back again as long as she's there. I especially like the fact that each stylist had his or her own station and you didn't have to shuffle back and forth to the shampoo area. I like staying in one place. I only went there twice. Hannah did an ok cut for me. I wasn't entirely happy with it so the second time I tried Lyndsey. Huge mistake and because of that I will never go back. She barely cut and shaped my hair. While she was cutting it I was wondering when she was actually going to start cutting my hair. I went here for a haircut thanks to yelp! When I arrived they offered some drinks while I waited. My hairstylist greeted me, I think her name was heather or hannah. She gave me very good advice about product buildup and getting a deep condition every now and then. She was also pleasant to talk to. Then she cut my hair, she took off 3 inches and put layers. My hair was very long and thick, so having it this short is great! However, before we started she said my scalp looked sunburnt. She then went on to use hot water and blowdried a little close to my scalp.. after she styled my hair she thinned it slightly. However not as much as I needed. I asked her to cut an extra inch when we finished which seemed sort of rushed. I am having a hard time finding a hairstylist here willing to thin my hair a lot, I may have to get my haircut in hawaii. In the end My hair looked and felt great. My scalp is slightly sore and there was one long strand she forgot and my hair is still heavy but other than that it was good. ThanKS for the great customer service. read more
