I love that Wendy will come to your house! Her business was in the August Allure magazine (very cool!). I felt totally comfortable getting naked. She even brought her own towel for me to stand on and to clean up the mess after. We did the tan in my shower and it looked GREAT. I felt very bronzed for my event and loved the pics! I had used an airbrushing service in Seattle (that is not mobile) and have purchased a huge mystic tan package but neither compared. I like that you don't get too tan, too orange, and it is all EVEN (very hard to do with mystic). I LOVE WENDY. Seriously. Want to know why? My gf and I were in the market for some sun, or sun-ish type exposure. Living in Seattle, access to sunlight is few and far between. Adding insult to injury almost every news station for the last week has been running stories on the statistics of minors who tan, skin cancer rates etc... overall not leaving me with the warm and fuzzies. We started pricing and comparing the salons in the area for not just tanning, but sunless tanning. Neither of us have had the pleasure of stepping into a box and being sprayed down with streaks of orange by an unintelligent machine, so the thought of taking that leap wasn't really appealing. And then there was Wendy... :) We came across Divine Sunless Tanning and Wendy while we searched through Yelp. Convenient, flexible hours. CHECK. Fair, reasonable pricing. CHECK. Knowledgeable. CHECK CHECK. And she comes to your house, apartment, hotel, office, hell in this town she's probably sprayed people in a room the size of a linen closet. When Wendy arrived she started setting up her materials, which is stored in a medium sized bag. (It's not like she's bringing a ridiculous amount of tools into your house...) She explained the process to us, asked us what we were looking for (color wise) and imparted upon us TONS of useful skin care and sunless tanning knowledge. By the time I was to strip down and hop in the tub Wendy was set up, ready to go and I was comfortable. Within 20 minutes I was sprayed down, out of the tub and air drying! Her products smell wonderful! We went for the "prep" which was a cool mist of lots of good stuff for your skin, and her sunless product smelled like lemongrass, not some heavily perfumed or sickly sweet coconut. It was really a refreshing process. I woke up and post shower, was left with wonderful results! I've got an even, natural looking glow, with no steaks, no orange and no dealing with little catty, ditzy, money hungry salon girls trying to up-sell me. BONUS. My sunless tanning experience with Wendy went beyond even the glowing (pun intended) recommendations of fellow Yelpers on here! I wanted to do a trial run tan because I'll be running off to get married in a little over a month, and unfortunately for me I am part ghost, part tomato. Keritosis pilaris on my arms? Check. Ruddy complexion? Double check. I can thank my Irish heritage for that dubious honor. My goal was to even out my skin tone and get a nice glow without looking like a 24/7 sun worshiper. Wendy arrived not only on time, but ahead of schedule! She was great about communicating with me via text message to let me know where she was at and when she was on her way. When she arrived, she was talkative, gregarious, totally genuine, and put me completely at ease. This is always a plus when you know that in 10 minutes you'll be stripping down completely for a stranger. ;) Wendy's attention to detail was perfect -- she even airbrushes the sides of your thumbs to make the tan look more natural, which I never would have even thought to do. She listened very carefully to my desires and concerns about the color and my oily skin, and she used the clear formula in the lightest shade. My tan developed into a really natural golden color that was probably two or three shades darker than my normal skin tone. Your mileage may vary on that one, because I really was very pale to begin with. :) All in all, I highly recommend the experience. Wendy came over three days before a wedding for which I was a bridesmaid. I have very, very pale skin and was really nervous about it look unnatural because I've never done any sunless tanning before. But Wendy seems like a pro, she didn't make me look orange or unnatural in anyway. I could tell a big difference, but because it looked so natural I don't think anyone could pin point what was different about me, they just knew I looked good! The tan held up really well for the wedding (only faded a bit, but Wendy warned me of this) and 7 days later I still have a tan! I'll be calling Wendy again next time I have a special event. My only complaint was that I had to clean my shower afterward because while she clean up after herself, there was still a lot of discoloring in my shower the next morning.
