It took me a long time to find someone previously who did my cut just the way I wanted. So I stopped by one evening into Eclipz to ask if they would be able to replicate my cut that was 4 weeks out. I was told, "sure, I can do that.. I can book you in two weeks, bring pictures of your cut also" I thought great, they seem confident enough to nail this cut. And when I went, I showed photos of my haircut when it was fresh.. and my stylist at Eclipz didn't really seem to be interested. My cut has always been more of an edgier, stacked a-line bob. Longest parts near my chin and then gradually up. Something that was clearly shown in my photos. And when I was done at Eclipz, my hair has this very conservative, traditional church mom bob thing done.. I was mortified, I asked if she can chop off this weird low hanging part on the sides, but she said "that's part of the cut"... well, it wasn't like the photos I had shown, and I don't have this part normally.. plus I couldn't get it corrected at this point since the front part was too short to create the style I had requested. So, I cannot recommend this place if you are looking for a creative spin on any cut. If you want a traditional take.. go for it. The stylist was also unable to get my name right, even after the cut she thought I was some other woman entirely..

She is easily accessible by text if I need to alter an appointment and has gone above board on a couple of occasions to fit me in when my schedule was challenged. She listened to me to make sure she understood what I was looking for, gave me a solid consultation, and talked me through each step as she went. She even took care with the cut to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and finished it with a red-carpet worthy blowout. I've been to many places over the years trying to find somewhere that does it right and isn't far away. I cannot remember the last time I've left an appointment and actually gotten what I wanted (bright blonde!). Thank you Lisa and the staff at Oasis - you guys are rock stars and now have a new client! The owner contacted me and actually told me that she didn't think "anyone was really at fault" and characterized the situation as "the timing didn't line up well." Excuse me -- what exactly was MY fault? I arrived early. I was sitting there waiting for the appointment THEY scheduled. The stylist was 25 minutes late. There was no mutual "timing" problem and absolutely no reason to insert me into a discussion of fault. Even more audacious was suggesting that my arriving early somehow had relevance to the situation. Had I arrived at exactly my scheduled appointment time, the stylist still would have been 25 minutes late. Instead of simply taking accountability and saying, "Our stylist was late and we apologize for wasting your time," the owner attempted to repackage it as some unfortunate, neutral circumstance in which nobody was responsible. That was incredibly condescending. Being 25 minutes behind is bad enough. Trying to minimize it afterward and manufacture some bizarre suggestion of shared fault with the client who SHOWED UP is what made the experience unacceptable. My time is not less valuable because I'm the client. I was there. The stylist wasn't. That isn't a "timing issue." That IS the issue. UPDATE: The owner's response actually confirms the issue. My appointment was at 4:00, and at approximately 4:25 the stylist was still not ready for my appointment, which is why I left. I never expected to be seen during the 45 minutes I arrived early, so my arrival time before my scheduled appointment is IRRELEVANT. The issue is simply that 25 minutes AFTER my "scheduled" appointment time, my appointment still had not begun. Rather than simply taking responsibility for that delay, the response continues to emphasize that I "chose" to arrive early and "chose" to leave. Yes--I chose to leave after waiting 25 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time while the stylist was still unavailable.

It really feels cozy, and inviting, so points for that! This isn't the type of place you go for edgy/mainstream styles, but for nice polished looks all while relaxing with your cup of coffee. I always hate talking to hairdressers, but the owner was a pleasure to talk to, and she did a great job on the hair. One thing I like is that when she finished, I asked for some additional trimming (I've found this to be a risk). She immediately agreed to make the changes, and didn't rush through them.
