I was excited about having several projects completed in time for my housewarming party: realigning two doors, hanging a mirror, adding weather stripping to my exterior door and re-hanging a drooping shower curtain. Literally every single one of those projects was done incorrectly. The mirror fell down 10 minutes after he left, dragging two screws through my wall and creating two large holes I then had to fill and re-paint. The doors are sticking again; he says the house must "still be shifting" but it's 35 years old and has finished settling... and no home moves that much in 5 days. The weather stripping fell off the next day and I had to replace it myself. You get the idea. I was frantic trying to fix everything myself in time for guests to arrive a few days later. In addition to the poor work he provided, he was also completely unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. He was in my home for a total of three hours but spent probably half of that time either in his car smoking and yelling at someone on the phone, or halfway doing work in my home while yelling at someone on the phone. Ultimately I felt sorry for the guy and thought he must have been going through some personal things. But I definitely got played, and I wouldn't be surprised if whoever he was yelling at was another angry customer. After he left, things started falling apart and breaking again, so I followed up with him. He ignored most of my texts. But whenever he did answer, he made excuses that weren't valid (like saying he used the right screws for the mirror.... when he obviously didn't) and offered to come fix everything. I didn't feel comfortable having him in my house again and had already fixed everything myself at this point. So I requested to have at least half of the money I had paid him refunded. After ignoring all of my texts, he finally answered when I said I would leave him a bad review. Said he would "see what he could do" and the refund would take 7 days. I gave him 10 days and then followed up. He ignored me again. And again. And again. Until I got nasty, when he said the refund had been processed. My bank account says otherwise. I'm still waiting 2 weeks later. Do. Not. Hire. Him.

Mike at Home Town Plumbing came out and changed out a bathroom sink (Mark Ondras was going to outsource it). Mike, Home Town Plumbing, also replaced a seal under a toilet and changed out a bad pipe in another bathroom. I was so impressed! All three things done in one visit! Our last service that kept charging us for separate visits for each thing we needed done.... The neighbor that referred me has used them 10 yrs since he's a master plumber and I ran into another neighbor at the grocery store that said she only calls Mike at Home Town plumbing for her house and her 2 rentals!

UNTRUSTWORTY .... I am remodeling a shower in a rental property and hired this company to change…read moreout one shower valve. I should have known this experience was going to go bad when they arrived 2 hours late. Within 20 minutes I received a call from the owner attempting to hard sell me on 2 new water heaters and a line cleaning. I asked them to proceed with changing out only the shower valve. They finished and I paid them what turns out to be far more than the normal. Because it is a rental and I was not there to observe, the tenants sent me pictures of the valve the following day. The valve was off center, crocked, and installed at the wrong depth. I asked them to return to fix the issues. Of course he immediately blamed everything and everyone but himself. After going back and forth with texts and phone calls he finally agreed to come back out and fix his poor workmanship after he realized I had photos to proving my claim. I had to connect with the tenants and find out a good time for them. Then I had to reach back out to the owner of the plumbing company and set up an appointment. He set up a time and date to return. On the day of the appointment he did not show, call me or, answer his phone. Unfortunately my tenants missed class for no reason. He finally responded via text and set up another appointment the following business day. I again asked the tenants to be home for the appointment. He did not show again for the appointment. I called and asked when he would be there and he said his technician was a few hours out. Sadly the technician never showed up and again my tenants missed class waiting for them. I sent him a text telling him that it was not professional to not show up and or communicate. I told him that while his actions were disappointing he has one more opportunity to get it right. He had the audacity to text me back saying "we would no longer like to do business with you". Shocking experience. Do be a victim with this company. Use a plumber that is trustworthy

Flooring, baseboards, paint trim, texture, drywall patching, new sink hookups, cleaning out a clogged drain with hardware rental, broke up cement, fence work and cutting up stuff so I can dispose in the garbage can. He recently installed shutters and cut them to fit perfectly. He's upgrading my home 3-6 hours a week. Looking forward to one day having a beautiful home due to his efforts. They left everything clean and had reasonable pricing (particularly for a weekend visit.) Best of all, they were able to get to us quickly both times instead of a wait of days or weeks. Called Josh diagnosed over the phone that it was probably a slab leak. He came out and confirmed…read moreand it was. This was on a Monday. We agreed on a price for drop of new pex lines, cap off old lines, and install a new hot water heater. He told me up front they had a big job lined up and would do everything he could to fit me in. It took some back and forth and finally Friday he was able to get his guy out there and showed up himself to inspect. I don't remember the plumbers name who did the install but he did a great job and it pretty much took him all day. I don't envy him for having to drop lines in an extremely small spaces attic. He even cleaned up the connection in the garage that was honestly not the best originally. He also helped me diagnose an issue I had under my kitchen sink and based on what he told me I have not had a leak anymore. I will say the communication and delays were frustrating. Was I irritated yes. However, Josh explained it to me and stayed in constant contact via text. I feel like he made up for the issue by explain it to me and keeping in touch. The only small issue I had was the mess left behind from where they cut into the sheet rock. However I didn't hire a cleaning service I hired a plumber. For me this was like a 2 out of 10 issue but for some people that would be a 10/10 issue. Overall I would recommend him. I think he charged a fair price and did quality work. I can only speak to the quality of work I saw by the plumber who did our scope of work but it was just as well done as the commercial work I have had done at many many buildings that I have overseen.
