It's been my go to lately when in Tulsa. Went again. I had the Pad Thai again. It never disappoints. The service was good and atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.

We go to The Tropical when we are having a late dinner. They close at 10pm which is later than most Thai restaurants. The prices are a little higher and we usually get our own dish instead of sharing when we are there. I like the tom kha and their fried fish (around $25). The ka prow today was really salty. I am not sure if it was because I asked for 4 in terms of spice. It wasn't really spicy.

Yum! I'm so glad we finally tried The Tropical. Most of us ordered the pad Thai, and it was really tasty. We ordered a lunch portion, and it was still a good amount. One of my kids ordered the chicken wings off the kids' menu, and he said they were tasty. Service was very fast and attentive. It's very clean inside. We will certainly come back.

The food was incredible and the service was great. It wasn't too crowded. My husband and I got a mai tai and it was perfect.

Wonderful food! Can't believe I've lived here a year without finding this place. I will admit the calamari was tough and had no tentacles which I prefer. Everything else was FANTASTIC! Just look at the photos for the variety my family ate... yet there were so many other dishes we wanted to try! We'll have to become regulars just to get through the menu.

Having been scarred by The Tropical on the first visit, I've decided to come back to give this establishment a second chance, and I am so glad I did. The Tropical is an excellent Thai restaurant as long as you avoid the Spaghetti Kee Mao. It might even get a 5 stars if I could completely erase the memory of the initial visit. The Tropical has excellent pad thai. Pad Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as street food in Thailand. It is typically made with rice noodles, shrimp, peanuts, scrambled eggs, and bean sprouts. I love the flavorful sauce in the pad thai at The Tropical. It truly is wonderful. Tom kha or Thai coconut soup is a spicy and sour soup of coconut milk, galangal, kaffir, lime leaves, lemongrass, Thai chili, mushrooms, chicken, fish sauce, and lime juice. At The Tropical, I particularly love the inclusion of tomatoes in the soup to give it a richer taste than the traditional soup. It tastes like a creamy version of hot and sour soup with different ingredients. It's good at The Tropical, just not my cup of tea. It's a shame that I can't get over the injury of the initial visit. The pain is gone but the scar is there, maybe next time.

Had a great weeknight dinner here. Staff were very friendly and prompt. The restaurant was nearly empty around 7pm but it was great to have a quiet place to eat and talk. The food was really good. I got chicken pad Thai and I can say that I would get it again. The corn cakes were also a really good starter.

I would like to call myself a Tom kha soup connoisseur at this point and The Tropical has HANDS DOWN, the BEST Tom Kha soup in Tulsa. It is creamy, flavorful, and delicious. We also got the Kaprao fried rice, which I didn't love. The rice was dry. But it's also hard to follow up a dish as amazing as the Tom kha soup. Just please go and try it!!

Never tried this before. I like curry, just don't want it to be overwhelming. This place hit the spot. Tried this dish with added chicken. It was good overall perhaps a little bit too much broth. Needed more substance. But the flavor was good. The waitress did ask how hot I wanted it and I chose four out of five. Glad I didn't choose number five. it was a little spicy. But overall a good dinner.

For our seafood boil, we went with both of their current specials: the snow crab special and the crawfish combo (no picture because not sure if these changes). Upon entering, there was already a waiting line to be seated and we were told it would be about a 10 minute wait. The restaurant was quite full, although we did see a few tables that were being cleared. It took us less than 10 minutes to be seated at a booth in the bar area. We had an excellent server who greeted us warmly, gave us a minute, at our request, before taking our drink order. We both ordered a Mexican martini which in my mind was essentially a margarita in a martini glass. This had an olive in the bottom and the drink had silver tequila, Cointreau, orange and fresh lime juice, handshaken or however you want it. The rim was salted. Quite yummy. For a starter, we decided to get onion rings. We were absolutely amazed at how large the portion of onion rings was. If you're an onion ring fan, I think you'll love these. They had a very light coating on them and they were cut fairly thin. Served with two different dipping sauces. They were scrumptious. I also have to say that the prices for literally everything on the menu were so reasonable. It's no secret that restaurant prices have been rising steadily the last couple years. I felt the prices here were several years behind the times. I'm not complaining about that. You get a lot of value when you go to Fish Daddy's. The portions are generous, and the prices are lower than you would think. We decided to split a FD's Combo. You choose three items from a list of seven and you also get to choose two sides. We ordered the cornmeal catfish, the chicken tenders and the fresh North Atlantic salmon. For the sides we choose green beans and a baked potato with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese. By accident, the Kitchen sent out fried shrimp instead of the chicken tenders, but when I brought that to the attention of our server, he simply brought out chicken tenders and we sort of got the shrimp as a freebie. We had no complaints and were again amazed at the value and how good everything was. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, it was not loud at all. We had absolutely no problem conversing during our meal. Will definitely be a more frequent visitor now that we have reacquainted ourselves with Fish Daddy's Grill House.

I am sad that they no longer have fried pickles, but the guy said it's been like that for a little while so it tells me how long it's been since I've been here. I will always appreciate the prices and the good quality food that I get here.
