Came here after our hike. The eatery is about a 5 minutes drives from the trails, so it's a great stop if you're hungry after hiking. It's a small restaurant, with a number of options to choose from. You order, receive a table number, and essentially pay whenever at the counter. Not exactly the most effective method. I ordered the Trail Club House which came with a choice of soup of fries. I opted for the soup and was recommended the broccoli and cheese soup. Hearty and flavorful. The Trail Club House is a three tier sandwich with bacon and grilled chicken, mayo, butter and lettuce. A classic. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. I was disappointed however that I had to follow up with the waitress after 30 minutes for my meal, only to realize they had forgotten to put in the order. I had quite the field day trying to select what I wanted for lunch from the variety of options available. I ended up settling for the lasagna with caesar salad. The pasta was cooked to just the right texture. Not undercooked, not overcooked. The flavour of the lasagna and the salad was okay, no complaints here. The service is great. The staff makes you feel welcome and does not hesitate to check if your experience is going well. The seating is a bit limited, so it may be good to have a backup plan just in case. Friendly and a good selection of foods. All fresh made. We got the chicken and veggie quesadilla which was choke full of ingredients. We also got an omelet, a Greek chicken wrap(the special) and a ham and pesto melt. The best part were the fresh cut fries. Nice a crispy! This is a great place that does as the name suggests. Located in beautiful walking country, it's an unpretentious, honest local cafe that offers what you want after a nice walk. Great burgers, salads, freshly made sandwiches, teas and coffees or a bottle of beer of your walk was long enough to deserve it. The Trail Eatery is a great spot to stop in if you are in the area and need a snack, meal, or sweet treat. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the pricing is reasonable. We got two burgers, fries, gravy, drinks and ice cream for $30. They also serve a lot more homemade alternatives that I am sure to try when we are up in Campbellville area again. The burgers are homemade and delicious and that's probably why I like going there. The first time I tried the burger I said it was the best burger I've had. When you compare it to restaurants that serve a frozen patty that has been cooked on a grill you will quickly realize the difference in taste and quality. This burger is juicy, flavorful and comes with a bun that makes the difference. I would recommend this place if you are in the mood for a burger or want to try something homemade. read more

I arrived at Trails End with a friend 2 weeks ago, July 23, 2021. We got there about 20 minutes before closing, but we didn't know it was close to closing and they never told us when we notified the staff we planned to eat in. That gave us 20 minutes to order our food, wait for it and eat. My friend ordered a small personal pizza with cheese and a couple of vegetables that cost $19 + tax. I ordered a steak sandwich, it was so tough I couldn't cut it, my first experience with not being able to cut the bread of a steak sandwich. I finally gave up and tried to pick it up and eat it. I was about 1/2 way through my meal when a rude, I guess manager, threw a carry out box on our table and said "You have to leave. I'm letting my staff go because we're closed. You can eat outside." Nice of her to let us eat outside in the rain. The young girl who originally served us was nice but the 2 larger women, I guess the manager and another staff member were very rude. The food was overpriced and barely fit to eat. I will never go to this restaurant again. Probably my worst experience. Too bad I had to pay in advance because they didn't deserve the tip I gave them. This place is incredibly delicious! I live close by so I go all the time! The staff are friendly and you can tell they enjoy working, they are always found laughing and having a good time in their environment. This place is disgusting. The staff does not properly clean anything especially their hands. They go from touching money straight to touching food no washing. Flies all over the food on display. The owner is an arrogant know it all and the staff are rude and could care less about the customer. The food was alright when I finally received the right order but extremely over priced.
