Small carribean inspired spot. I stopped in on a Monday during lunch hours in the off season. It was slow so the food arrived to my table quickly. I ordered a small sofrito nacho plate with mahi mahi. It had a hint of spice but was mostly covered in wet sauces. I love condiments & I love a saucy dish but it was a bit much with salsa, guacamole, sour cream & some type of house sauce. It all kind of overpowered the meal. It didn't really hit the spot for me. Menu is intentionally small and somewhat the same dish served in different ways; burrito, salad, bowl, nachos, etc. Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming.

This place was delicious the sofritas bowl was so exquisitely bussin I wish I got a large. I will be coming back tomorrow for another bowl before we go home. Wow. The service was friendly as well along with the chill ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed this place 10/10.

I love the chill , island vibes here! They even played music from one of my favorite bands- Stick Figure. The CB punch drink was so tasty and delicious , it's a blend of the perfect amounts of rum and juices. Sofrito bowl was the best! Again, perfectly balanced flavors and fresh! Definitely visit here when you are in Cocoa Beach

A little slice of home in Cocoa Beach. Bravo Chef Moises! Hadn't had a tripleta like that since the food trucks outside University of Puerto Rico (UPR). Cafe con leche on point. Chill vibes.

Pros: Ambiance is very cool. Very beachy, semi-tiki, mellow and chill. There's a nice outdoor patio dining room that we sat in, covered to keep the sun out. Service was pretty good. Our server was nice enough, and the food came out in no time. No concerns there. As for the food, it was simple, but delicious. Who knew that adding some Island seasoning to some basic dishes can really make them pop? Cons: The server, who struck me as a manager, didn't have a good working knowledge of the drink menu at all, but we made due. Tips: Get the nachos, and get the catch of the day on them. If you've never had fish nachos before, you will love them. Also, get the burrito if you like burritos. Some breakfast burritos fall kind of flat and are disappointing, but these were gooood.

We came here one day while we were exploring the Space Coast a little bit. We have a buddy who lives out there, so we parked by his condo and walked over here to the Tiny Turtle. We chose the Turtle because it landed on the best places to eat in the US in 2024, which is a pretty prestigious list, so we were pretty excited. Ambiance was sooo chill. It's right next door to the best ice cream on the coast, the Fat Donkey. Thatched roof, tiki stuff, lots of outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Service was prompt and mostly the same: chill, beachy, islandy. Very nice lady. She struck me as the owner, or at least management. As for the food, we opened up with an appetizer. We got the nachos and for the protein, we chose the catch of the day, I think it was mahi that day. No one I was with had had fish nachos before, but they quickly became fans. The fish flaked well, and there were plentiful toppings that were layered well. It was also not a very large dish, so you didn't have to ration your protein too much. You could just eat and enjoy. I moved on to my main entrée, the Triple T Toastie (Scrambled eggs, white American cheese, shredded cheese, potato sticks, and Creme Caribe pressed in Sobao bread. Choice of veggies, bacon, sausage or ham. - Upgrade to all 3 meats). Of course I upgraded to all three meats. Very good sandwich. Excellent, quality fillings, bread that was pressed hard and delicious, and it was large enough to contain all the fillings and not be leaking out and falling out everywhere. A well crafted sandwich, paired well with the potato sticks that added a very satisfying crunch. I also got to eat half of a Wake up Burrito Scrambled eggs, potato hash, Queso Caribe, guacamole, sour cream, roasted tomatillo sauce, and Creme Caribe. Choice of bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham, Roasted Island Pork). Very good burrito, stuffed to the brim, and able to be picked up by hand, which was good, I don't like knife and fork breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a super chill, super cozy little place that can offer you a delicious breakfast before you head out to get your beach on. Or where you can send a runner to get some takeout and bring it to you while you're On the beach. Really nice. I hope to come back one day.

This place had such a cool vibe and the food was delicious.. we were new in town and wanted to get a unique experience after our beach trip. We stumble into this unique gem and did not disappoint. I had the sofrito bowl with roasted island pork, I initially orders the small size and regretted thinking I should've gone for the bigger size but the small was more than enough. The rest of my party ordered the sofrito burrito and they were all very impressed.

Holy crap this place has such big portions, but I am loving it! My husband and I ordered the sofrito bowl and cuban to split, and it was honestly so much food. We left feeling STUFFED - but it's hard to complain when the food was delicious. No regrets! The Cuban had a lot of meat and soft bread, which I appreciated because I don't like my sandwich bread to be too hard and painful to eat. For the sofrito bowl, I recommend getting the plantain and coleslaw as the added sides! I will definitely be returning!

We love it here! Even with all the bar options nearby, this is our go-to. It's never overly crowded and the employees are friendly and attentive. We have loved the empanadas and I had a DELICIOUS wrap today. The plantains seemed well cooked and were super good. Yum!

A Hidden Gem with Caribbean Flavor! We've been to Cocoa Beach many times and somehow never heard of Tiny Turtle--but now we'll never forget it. A few locals recommended it to us on separate occasions, so we finally checked it out--and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent--we had the Tripleta sandwich and the cheesesteak, both absolutely mouthwatering. The bread was soft and fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The menu has a Latin-Caribbean flair, thanks to the Puerto Rican chef, and it really shows in the seasoning and creativity. Service was great--Murphy took care of us and made the experience even better. The beers were ice cold, and we were excited to see Medalla, a local Puerto Rican beer, on the menu. It was quiet when we arrived--so quiet we almost left--but we came between lunch and dinner, so we get it. Still, this place deserves to be packed. We've learned they've been around for about 12 years, and now we'll be recommending them just like the locals did with us. Don't miss this spot. It's a true gem with delicious food and warm, friendly vibes.

This is my second review one year later and the food is just as good. We've never eaten inside the restaurant as we always get it to go but the inside is a cool vibe with the bar room separate from the dining area. They have local art for sale as well as some merch and souvenirs. We called for pickup right at the transition from breakfast to lunch so our order took about 30 minutes from call to out the door. We will be back again to try the breakfast burrito, but this time got a pork and a chicken Sofrito burrito. They're so good every time. I really hope this place stays in business!

My husband and I were visiting Cocoa Beach for 4 days and went to lunch at the Tiny Turtle the day we arrived and liked it so much we went back for lunch the following day and breakfast on our last full day. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. The small soffrito bowl (about $11) is the perfect size to satisfy without feeling completely stuffed and uncomfortable. Their slow cooked pork is so good and moist. I had the same on my Huevos Rancheros on our third visit. I love Huevos Rancheros and I think this was the best version of it I've ever had! The eggs over easy were perfectly cooked runny yokes but fully cooked whites. I dug in too quickly to think to snap a photo first! The other big selling point for me is that they squeeze their own lime, lemon and orange juices so their house margarita at only $9 is absolutely delicious! It goes down too easily but with such a good price why not get a second?? Our second lunch I tried the mahi mahi tacos and I appreciated that the fish was grilled and not fried so there are menu options that are fairly healthy. This day I opted to only have 1 margarita and then have an ice cream at Fat Donkey Ice Cream directly next door. We liked eating outside on the front patio with the tiki-style thatched roof. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. Go check out the Tiny Turtle! We'll definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere felt very Florida like and once you're inside, it really doesn't seem that tiny. Of my aunt and I had tacos and they were all delicious. We finished the meal with Keylime pie . It was a bit nontraditional and seemed a little bit more like a cheesecake, but I really enjoyed it. My aunt had really expected more of a traditional key line so she wasn't quite as happy with her although she enjoyed the taste . Overall, I had a great experience

What a great local restaurant! The server was really nice and sparked up a conversation. The service was really fast and we liked that because we were in a rush. The food was great! Everything had a lot flavour and wasn't to expensive. The outside of building was really nice. Very beachy with palm trees and Lanterns and once you go inside it's also really beachy. Fake palm trees inside and the booths were comfy to sit in. Definitely will be back! read more

What a lovely place! Immediately after walking in, one can tell this is a labor of love. From the brightly colored walls to the clever Christmas decorations, the vibes are certainly positive. But now on to the important part: food. We visited for brunch and the menu is a bit experimental. Traditional breakfast foods can be found on the a la cart menu, but combinations were available on the main menu. We both tried something out of our comfort zone and were both very satisfied. We also ordered a side of pancakes and they were delicious. I highly recommend to try! The service was friendly and helpful. I witnessed our waitresses fix another patrons dish quickly and kindly when an order was a bit too cold. Overall, you can tell these people are good natured and kind. Second time returning to the tiny turtle and wasn't disappointed. Chicken Sofrito bowl was excellent. I didn't get the slaw with it this time, only because I wanted the extra maduros. I couldn't finish it all, and my kid ate the rest and stated, "Mom, why do you always get the good stuff!?" Really, you ordered your own food and picked the island taco basket, which she exclaimed was delish! The tiny turtle chip basket was huge and came with three big sides, we received more warm chips without asking when the waitress noted we'd eaten the big basket of chips and had left over queso, guacamole, and salsa because the sides were so big. Excellent food, amazing service. Jaime was our server but the entire staff was awesome. We had no less than four people check on us during our dinner. Jaime was great and offered great advice on food choices. I had the Caribe Burger, side salad, and a side of Cole slaw. Excellent sauce called the Caribe sauce. While on vacay, decided to come here based on the menu. We shared the carnitas sofrito bowl and a Cuban. Both were absolutely incredible. Our waitress was so sweet and did everything we asked of her. The ambiance was awesome - looks like a little tropical hut. We didn't go to the bar but it was very inviting as well. Checked out local spots on Yelp! for Cuban sandwiches on their menu and was very pleased to see The Tiny Turtle as one of the top choices. Our server, Summer, was cheerful and informative. Our food came out pretty quickly, too. We went with their version of the traditional Cuban sandwich, which was excellent. The bread had the right balance of crunch and chew. The condiments were not overpowering, allowing us to enjoy the meats and cheese. One thing we loved was their crepe caribe (their signature sauce). It's a big sandwich so we split one. We ordered the maduros (fried plantains) and brown rice with black beans. Both made great pairings. Other sides were available including plantain chips. Service on the phone-we were originally just going to order for pick up when I asked Kiana, who was taking our order, if there were seats available just then. There were so we opted to dine in. We happened to sit inside but there is also shaded seating outside, in front and in the courtyard, which also has fans to help keep you cool. We loved the contactless menu via QR code and free wifi! Thanks for serving my son, Fabian, and me our first great meal out together in the area. It was a wonderful welcome for him to Florida. The Tiny Turtle might be my new favorite spot in Brevard County. It is located in Downtown Cocoa Beach just two blocks from the beach. There is plenty of on street parking which is free for 90 minutes. I went here recently for lunch w/ my friends. I ordered a vegan meal while they both ordered a non-veg meal. Feel Tiny Turtle is a solid spot to accommodate various lifestyle dietary choices w/ a Caribbean Asian Fusion menu that offers healthy options. I went w/ the Quinoa Bowl. "Superfood" quinoa sautéed w/ a kale mix, green bell peppers, & onions topped w/ guacamole, black beans, salsa, & roasted tomatillo sauce along w/ mango caribe. It comes w/ two sides so chose the black bean rice & grilled plantains aka maduros. Everything was flavorful & filling. I throughly enjoyed my meal. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. It was fairly packed at the lunch hour & our server told us they will close some of September to expand the restaurant. The ambience here was stellar. It has a beach vibe as feels like you are eating on the beach in a beach hut as the floor is painted to look like sand. Murals on the walls. Tiki faces are scattered throughout the restaurant. It has AC indoors so is comfortable to dine in even when it is a blazing hot Summer August afternoon. Five stars as great experience here! read more

We parked in the Public garage and walked over. It's also Friday Fest so this area is quite busy. The food is good and affordable. They are tables and booths and two that are half and half. The sweet tea was pretty good. read more

I was talked into three stars. My gut was two. However, the drinks were great, the prices were fair and the bowl was enjoyed by my wife. From my perspective, the sandwich tripleta was kind of gross and the cheesesteak was beyond any recognition to an actual cheesesteak. Our waitress, self described as middle aged, was delightful. Ben's glizzy was horrendous and should be removed from the menu. Ps: she was not middle age. I'm guessed 68. read more

This place wasn't bad. It's a small restaurant on Cocoa Beach. I tried it during brunch and sat outside. I like the outdoor seating:) Has a nice vibe but wasn't super impressed on the food. WOW. We stumbled upon The Tiny Turtle while on vacation and every single bite was amazing. The sofrito bowl (get it with shrimp and steak bites) had the most amazing Caribbean flavor and the burrito (get the pork!) was filling and delicious. You will not be disappointed in a stop here. Took a long time to get our food. Waitress was nice and we chatted. Ambiance nice. Food was not good though. I had a toasted bread. On an impromptu trip to Cocoa Beach and after spending a little time at the beach, we was on the hunt for a local dive. Final decision: The Tiny Turtle. Man oh man, this place is good. My mom and I came here after a day at the beach and it was the perfect late lunch before driving back to Orlando. I ordered the large Sofrito bowl with pork and I was very happy I got the large versus the small. I planned on taking home leftovers if I couldn't finish but it was so amazing, I just had to keep eating it. I really loved adding some of the plantain into my bites for a bit of sweetness. Also that sauce they add on is top notch. My mom ordered the sofrito salad with mahi mahi which was huge, and she loved it. She said the fish was cooked perfectly. My only critique is that when we walked in they said to sit anywhere and that they had a back patio as well. We went and sat back there, no one else was there and after the waitress initially came by and brought us waters, she didn't come back for a while.....so we moved up to the front little bar area outside instead and actually got service. Took Yelpers' advice and popped into this cute little spot on a quick visit to the beach. Put simply: Yelp affirmed! The food was delicious, and our waitress's recommendations were spot-on! She was also wonderful with our kids and making sure they got something they'd like and actually eat. It's a little tucked away, but well-worth the effort to find and check out! Such a great place! We have returned a year later because it is THAT good! I ordered shrimp tacos.... served with a delicious slaw and a really tasty sour cream dressing that's a tad bit spicy. Outstanding place, very happy with our visit. We had friends in from out of town and met here for drinks and appetizers. We had a sampling of everything and you could taste the difference in everything they make, it's all freshly made. This included the drink mixers, they used all fresh juices and make everything in house. The standouts for me were the pulled pork quesadilla recommended by our bartender (so so good) and the chips with all of the sauces for everyone to sample. In short, outstanding visit, great vibe, and killer food. This will be one of our go-to places to bring visitors when they come to see us! read more

Flavorful Food - Fast Service - Perfect Location! My wife and I shared the pinchos (skewers) to start and they came out within 10 minutes of us placing the order! If you don't like your foods touching this may not be the place for you... She got the sofrito bowl with maduros and a side salad (all of it comes in the same bowl) and I got the quinoa bowl with beach slaw and a side salad (also all in the same bowl). BUT it made it easier to eat and all the flavors went well together so I'm not complaining that it comes all in the same bowl. We also shared the tacos (we got mahi mahi in corn tortillas) and they come with the chips and salsa. Our entrees came out within 20-25 minutes of placing the order! History

Established in 2013.

Inspired by his Grandmother's and Mother's cooking, the flavorful Sofrito base of Puerto Rico, and his own restaurant experiences, Chef Moises has created a menu and environment that will transport you to an island experience full of flavor and a laid back feeling. Opening during the famed Art Show that happens every year in Downtown Cocoa Beach as what was called Food Truck Style, being just a kitchen on the back of a building with a patio and picnic tables for seating, it has now evolved into a full service restaurant but still giving that feeling of a small local "Hidden Gem".

Meet the Business Owner: Moises y Kelly C.

Born in Puerto Rico Moises' family moved to Florida in the 80's spending the first couple years in South Florida and then relocating to Central Florida. Always having the dream of owning his own restaurant he was given the opportunity after meeting a good friend a couple years after moving to Cocoa Beach. He had spent 2 years prior to the start of The Tiny Turtle gaining knowledge and experience in the restaurant field. Each opportunity he grew into lead cook, managing the kitchen and creating new menu items. He has been surrounded by many, including his wife Kelly, that have all had a part at helping him fulfill his dream and is forever grateful for the love and support.

The biscuit bread was absolutely amazing, rich, soft, and delicious (maybe a little too generous with the butter on top, but still delicious). It's a thick, hearty piece, about two inches high and roughly four inches square. The mac and cheese was a generous portion and easily enough to share, and it was really good. The homemade BBQ sauce was also a highlight. The only slight miss was my husband's Coke, which wasn't very sweet, possibly a calibration issue with the machine. Overall, this is definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Cocoa Beach and want something different. There's a lot on the menu, and we'll definitely be back.

The place is really cute inside too, and the bar had hooks underneath, so you know it's legit!

AMAZING! After a long day at the pier we wanted something healthy and filling. We were looking for Jamaican and came across The Tiny Turtle... what a brilliant find. We split the Islander Wrap and Tripleta and were in heaven!!! Whether you're a tourist or a local this is a MUST try. The food was excellent and what made it even better was the stuff, especially the lady at the register. I didn't catch her name but she was the nicest woman. My family and I have been coming here since they first opened. We absolutely love their food, service, staff and atmosphere. The Owners are one of the nicest and most generous people I know in Cocoa Beach. Their pork and mahi sofrito bowls are to die for. So delish! Taco Tuesdays are still our fave time to come! Staff wear masks and plenty of outdoor seating. we also love that they are environmentally/ocean friendly and that is so important to our family and out community! Our food here was excellent, as was the service. Truly a welcome change for an eatery so close to the beach. We were a bit skeptical but the bowls of food (sofrito) that came out soon changed our minds. Highly recommended. Very moderately priced. Recommended. Heard a lot about the sofrito so I decided to order it. I could not believe how large of a portion it was and the taste was so unique and incredible. In total my meal was $13.15 for a large sofrito bowl and a drink with unlimited refills. Going to the Tiny Turtle made a positive memory on my vacation trip. read more
