It was going to be an expensive repair, which I had not anticipated. He made a suggestion to take all the diamonds out and scrap the rest of the necklace, which has significant gold weight, so I did just that! I picked out a diamond eternity band that I've had my eye at Argyle for about two years and with the high price of gold, I got the new ring in trade plus cash too! I went back again today, after he took out all the diamonds, and he spent nearly an hour with me to make 2 perfectly matching stacking diamond eternity bands to go on either side of the ring that I purchased the day before. And even though he has a very active business to run, we sat and chatted for several more minutes about our daughters and similar circumstances. A very pleasant experience. I contacted this business on Yelp and Jerry was super responsive. I decided to go down to Main Street (I avoid this area like the plague bc it's so busy) but it was well worth the trip. His booth is inside a building with multiple businesses and his is on the left side about halfway in. It was a Saturday so it was busy. He was so friendly, personable and honest. The great reviews lead us to Candy's on a quiet rainy afternoon. The only ones in the store he was made to feel like a king, asking all sorts of questions as kids his age do and wanting to more or less see everything. Candy was beyond patient and helpful, letting him see the pieces in the price range I'd mentioned and put them side by side so he could make his choice.
