Based on the reviews received I took my Lejour "Flygraph" chronograph to Eric to see if he could…read moreaddress a problem on an otherwise good functioning watch. It kept good time and everything worked as it should except the seconds hand would not return to the 12 o'clock position, more like 11:58 when I finished using the chronograph. Two weeks later Eric tells me it will cost $845 to fix my problem! Now this is a watch that cost under $100 at the Ft Rucker post exchange in 1972. No thanks, I said and went to pick up the watch. Eric was not there but his father was and after some grumbling found and returned my watch which now did not run and the seconds hand was stuck at the 2 o'clock position. I told Dad that this watch ran well when I brought it in, so he took the case back off and did something as the watch was running but the second hand was "stuck" at the 2 o'clock position, not 11:58 as when I brought it in.. If I started the chronograph function, the seconds timer returned to the 2 o'clock position, not 12 o'clock. I explained all this to Dad who said I should talk to Eric. I asked Dad if he would have Eric call me. He said OK but Eric chose not to. From the many positive reviews it's obvious Eric is competent In my case, however, he ruined a watch with sentimental value that I had hoped to pass on to my grandson. Obviously, I cannot recommend them at all. But if you choose to leave a watch with them, make sure you explain and show everything about the watch.

Good work, trusted merchant, quick turnaround, reasonable pricing. I highly recommend!…read more Eric not only replaced my watch battery and repaired a sentimental costume ring (that two other jewelers refused to look at because of low value), he replaced three missing diamond stones my in my wedding band! Wow wow wow! What can I say! I am so in love with my ring from Bellport Jewelrs! Dianne worked with…read moreme to comb through many options of stones and settings until we came up with my ring! She was patient and informative and most of all really took time to understand and execute what I wanted. I highly recommend you getting your custom engagement ring here! The best part about Bellport jewelers is that they have a passion for antique and showed me a beautiful vintage round diamond after looking at so many newer cuts that I wasn't loving. Most jewelers shy away from vintage! Seriously if you are looking for a lifetime piece, something you will love forever, Bellport Jewelers is your place!

Love having Bellport Jewelers as my personal jeweler. When you go there and meet Peter, Dianne, and…read morePeter Jr - you feel instantly welcomed and become like extended family! They really do exceptional work and take great pride in it. This place is not like those generic super mall chain store jewelers which I personally can't stand. Their store is in the quaint town of Bellport which is very historic and beautiful to walk through, shop, enjoy an ice cream or grab a slice of pizza. Instead of selling my unwanted gold.... Peter did the most amazing thing with my pile of jewelry. He made me custom pieces that were so artistic and organic.... and I am the only one who has them! If you are an artist or appreciate art like me - definitely see Peter. Plan on staying awhile in the store because odds are you will sit down for a good chat!

Huge thank you to Candy's for making my son's experience a memorable one and in the best way…read morepossible. My six year old came to me just before Mother's Day and expressed his desire to get mom a gift. Wanting him to take ownership over the experience rather than me just buying whatever i suggested we go shopping together and he asked could we make it a jewelry store. The great reviews lead us to Candy's on a quiet rainy afternoon. The only ones in the store he was made to feel like a king, asking all sorts of questions as kids his age do and wanting to more or less see everything. Candy was beyond patient and helpful, letting him see the pieces in the price range I'd mentioned and put them side by side so he could make his choice. In the end he picked out the necklace he like best and was thrilled that we walked out with it giftwrapped, bagged and ready to go for mommy. She of course loved it because it came from him and he now has a memory he'll always treasure. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

I was quoted a flat fee price, the shop sized my finger for the rings, when I received them they were too big! I was informed there was an additional fee to "re size" the rings. I also sold several rings with stones in them for scrap, Candys did not pop out the stones which I later found out reputable jewelers do, nor did I get itrmized bills of jewelry I sold her. Expensive lesson learned. My message here is know your jewelry and shop around.
