You walk in and the bar guy tells you to grab a menu and order at the bar. I got a black coffee.... If you order any other drink, he just yells out when your coffee or water is ready. That was the only noise- otherwise it was a wonderful quiet location for breakfast. Meal came quickly and hot and tasty. Not the best value for your money, but yummy and felt upscale with cyclists and other exercise type people coming in to eat. The waitress brought food, but everything else was - go to the bar. It's a teensy little space that has plenty of space between tables, and is really fun- has a stage in the corner... it got backed up at the bar one time, but then they seemed to manage everything well. Nice ambiance! Not exactly what we were hoping to find. We drove into Brenham hoping to find a good set down breakfast restaurant. They had very small menu selection. Like a choice of 3 breakfast items. You order at the counter. We decided on French toast. No prices on menu, so I asked the lady at the counter she said all breakfast items were $10.90. When our French toast came out they brought the tiniest amount of syrup! Like a teaspoon. Would not even cover half a slice. I had to ask for more syrup twice. The bacon was cold and tasted like the precooked. My husband ordered the iced Carmel macchiato. I think he was hoping it would taste similar to Starbucks, but wow! It was nasty! If you want a trendy place with over 100 flavors of tea. This is a good place for you. Not at all for me! read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We were immediately greeted with a rude woman at the bar whilst ordering. And a dark and stuff restaurant. We were told there was " fancy" bacon and just regular bacon. There was 2 orders of "fancy" bacon and just regular bacon. We were greeted by the chef. Telling us what our orders were. And that they had to thaw the bacon out. Which would take an hour and a half. When we asked for clarification he said " well me let me break it down for you". We were taken aback by the utter rudeness of what he had said. I don't ever write a bad review, but my sausage was completely burnt. The French toast was pretty good. My daughter's Egg Benedict was terrible. The sauce was sour. The gentleman who opened the cafe was very rude. We almost left. We certainly should have. One good thing-the coffee was good. We will not go back. read more

The service was out of this world! Both ladies there walked me through their tea selections and explained the flavor profile behind each one. I was looking for something medicinal and they gladly recommended teas based on what I needed. I ordered a tea that was made in store and I also bought a few sample teas to try at home. The tea I bought in store was maybe $3 and the samples were $5 for 3 tea bags. Didn't seem terrible given that the teas are custom blended. Upon trying the tea, I was kind of disappointed because it didn't pack the flavor that I was used to. It tasted like just hot water and I didn't taste any of the bold flavors that were named (I ordered a chai for reference). I thought that my experience would be different at home with the sample bags, but the flavors there weren't potent either. I'm not sure if there just wasn't enough tea in the tea bags or if it's the tea itself. You get way more flavor from the tea at the grocery stores, but it could be just me, so give it a try. I hear that their baked goods are PHENOMENAL, so I'm going to try those next! read more

I have had this restaurant on my list of places to try for a while now. I loved it! I love all the different teas they offer and the food was very good. The only negative for us was the service was very slow. I think this was just an off day. There was 1 person there wearing more than one hat. Hostessing, cashiering and serving. Strange place. We had a weird experience when we are here. We were greeted as we entered and placed our order at the bar. They gave us our coffee cups and we filled them ourselves at the end of the bar and for refills. I ordered extra hollandaise and when the order came out no hollandaise. I ask the waitress about it and was told the ticket was misread. The chef quickly got the hollandaise ready. Here is the strange part, when the waitress brought me the hollandaise, she leaned over me and poured it all over all of my food. I would have thought that she would have placed the container on the table. The issue was the hollandaise was heavy on the lemon and tasted funny on my biscuits and gravy. The other thing was the waitresses. Are they waitresses when you place your order at the bar and you self serve from then on? How do you tip? We had to call them over for a water refill.
