Blueberry / Peach Sonker
Chuck T.

Nothing outstanding. We had the Tig Ole Nachos and a Skiganator Burger. The nachos had way too much lettuce on top. So much, we thought it was a salad at first. The burger was pretty good. That's coming from someone who hasn't had Pimento cheese before. Finished the meal with a Blueberry Peach Sonker. Since it was my first Sonker, I guess it was good. The waitress was attentive and friendly.

Great little place tucked away in downtown, Pilot Mountain. Our drinks came quickly as did the food. They were somewhat crowded at noon so going during off hours would probably be best if you're not a fan of too much "coziness". The Margherita Flatbread was amazing as was the Southwest my spouse ordered. The tenders we received as an appetizer were equally tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us regularly. Great experience all around!

Club with fruit

Checked this place out for a quick Sunday lunch after visiting Pilot Mountain. Staff was polite but not very attentive. Food came out fast and was pretty delicious. Chicken fingers and chips were great. Club sandwich had a ton of meat, and the fresh fruit was really fresh. Hawaiian chicken sandwich good. If I am in town I would consider dining here again.

i loved this place! me and my boyfriend went to get lunch and the boneless wings, fries and the pasta were amazing! i don't remember our servers name but she was a sweetheart, and inside was so nice and clean too

We were in Pilot today around lunchtime and decided to get lunch at The Tilted Ladder. We've been here a couple of times in the past and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately there are very few good restaurants, in my opinion, in the area but this is one of the good ones. Our waitress, Heather, was super. She made good suggestions and followed up to ensure that we were happy with the food. The burgers are definitely the best around and I highly recommend them. The inside of the restaurant is interesting and there's 10 TV screens around the wall and at the bar area. Since they are closed captioned it's not annoying to the customers who are not interested in watching the screens. Although they were busy today service and food was great.

My mom and I had plans for lunch but my work got in the way a little. So she rode along with me to Pilot Mountain to finish my work and then have lunch. Yelp lead us to The Tilted Ladder and I'm so happy we went! We were seated right away by a friendly server. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but the tilted chicken sounded just amazing so we both ordered versions of it. I got mine with hot honey and my mom got hers with gravy. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were so creamy and perfectly seasoned. We each got a side too. I got a salad and my mom some broccoli. I don't get up to Pilot Mountain much but I need to make another trip because just thinking about that chicken is making me want it again. The restaurant also has a full bar, a bunch of TV's and so many other menu items that anyone can find what they want there. The casual atmosphere makes it a fun and comfortable place to go have lunch or dinner.

Sirloin and hot honey chicken Alfredo a must!

Everyone was friendly. Service was great. The best fried pickles and sweet potato fries! Never had hot honey chicken Alfredo....I would definitely order it again.

Sonker of love and peaches

We came here in search of sonker, but wanted to try the regular menu offerings as well. I was not overly impressed with my entree, the tilted chicken and the kitchen forgot the onion straws which is kind of a key dimension of the dish. Otherwise, it was cold mashed potatoes with an average chicken breast and very nice white gravy. I was feeling pretty meh towards the experience until the sonker came out- and wow is it good. It's only the second sonker of the numerous on the surry sonker trail we have tried but so far, it's ranked number one by far. Definitely different from a cobbler.

Pretzel bites & spicy mustard

Drove past and turned around! Lori our server had a great smile and laugh. Relaxing atmosphere. A rude couple wanted sirloin tips and the sever explained they were fresh out . They left but were just plain rude. Server remained upbeat. We ordered our food , a Grandma style pizza drizzled with a hot pepper type honey (so good )and enjoyed it immensely along pretzel bites earlier while enjoying our drinks. Thank you

Good place. Could use some more options for wine and more consistent drink options, but overall very good ambiance, food, and experiences.

I really really don't normally do fast food, mainly because I pay a certain price (cheap) and the…read morefood is mostly underwhelming. We really do get what we pay for. So today I got up before 6am and drove an hour to pick up 16 ounces of black coffee before heading into the wilderness to wait for a crew that showed up a few hours late... but that's another story about a frustrating day. By the time I had a meal it was afternoon and I still did not have time so I stopped at Wendy's which in terms of fast food is generally better than McDs and most of the others. Being on a low-carb-ish diet I picked up nothing but a baconater sandwich.... which turns out to be about 38 carbs (ouch). The sandwich was good the service was good (including an apology for the 2 minute wait) and I drove away feeling pleased. Great job Wendy's! Do I have a picture!? No way. It was a 15 hr no food window and I was hungry.

We went through the drive through at this location to get my husband a chocolate frosty. He's was…read moredriving so he handed it to me to open for him. I removed the top and licked it before handing the frosty to him. It had a really strong bad aftertaste but I didn't say anything to him about it because I thought it could just be me and I didn't want to ruin his frosty. I rarely eat pre processed anything and unless I grow it myself or it's certified organic it generally tastes odd to me and I can taste the chemicals. My husband isn't that picky so he started eating the frosty and then he commented that it tasted strange...like some type of chemical...maybe cleaning fluid? I don't know but we threw it away. I don't know what happened. Did they just clean the machine but failed to thoroughly rinse it or is the product they are serving just toxic? I don't know I'm just saying that we will never purchase anything from this store again.
