I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The food, wine, and service were fabulous. The star of the show is the view. We were there in early October. Both of our entrees were excellent. Don't hesitate to visit this beautiful place.

First time dining here. The ride would be beautiful on a clearer day, the vineyard is lovely with a view of Pilot Mountain. Service was great and the place was very nice and clean. My husband had the Lamb Lollipops, his only complaint was that he wished he had more. I tried the Eggplant Rollatini this time and it was absolutely delicious! We tapped glasses to the JoLo Red Blend; YUM! We will definitely be revisiting. So many wonderful looking menu items and wines, we can't wait to go back!

Incredible. Perfect. Amazing. Twinkles is amazing. Food wow. I can't even wait to get back there. I wish I could go there every day. I'm almost speechless and that's uncommon. Maddie was an excellent server. I'm going back.

A great find. The food, atmosphere, service and the wine was amazing. Will be returning when I visit the area again.

I have been to the winery many times but this was my first time at the restaurant. We will def be back! Their menu is great ... I had a hard time deciding what I wanted! We started with the frites which was so good! Fries tasted great. We shared a bottle of Jolotage which is always easy to drink. For our lunch I got the broccoli and sausage flatbread and omg loved it! My fiancé got the pork tacos... they were huge! I was a bigger fan of my meal than his tacos... the pork by itself was decent but what made it was the pickled cabbage and toppings. I really want to come back and try more of the flatbreads and their salads! This is a great date place and their wine is always good. We felt safe with the Covid restrictions. The servers wore masks and everyone was spaced out. The staff is always nice and welcoming here!

Great atmosphere. Whether you sit inside or out, the view is incredible. The owner is always walking around and chatting with the guest. Our waitress was Kat and saying she was amazing, is an understatement. She was fun, kind, knowledgeable and just Amazing. The food..... sweet Jesus. The food is phenomenal. How this place has anything under 4 stars is beyond me.

Recommend doing the wine tasting in the same building at JOLO but need to make separate reservations. Loved the goat cheese and crab dip. Food was very filling and delicious! Would come back!

We decided to head up to the beautiful town of Pilot Mountain and visit End Posts restaurant at Jolo Winery. I haven't ever been disappointed here and today was no exception. We started off by sharing a cheese platter and a bottle of the sparkling called Beach Bubbles. 3 cheeses, crostini's, walnuts, dried fruit,& honey drizzled over it. Great!! I've been opted for one of the lunch specials it was a fillet mignon medallions over a green mixed with blue cheese dressing. It was really good. She chose the lamb lollipops. They were pretty good also.We also drink a bottle of wine that I now consider my most favorite bottle in all of North Carolina history. Carolus XII. A great blend of Can Franc, Cab Sauv, Petite Verdot, Merlot, as Zinfandel. Those of you who know me always know that I say North Carolina red grapes should be blended & that it's too difficult to make a single varietal wine that's super special and that blends are the way to go. Well JW at JOLO did exactly that and he's hit a grand slam with the wine! I got to give a shout out to Grace our server she did a fantastic job. If you guys haven't had a chance to have a glass or a bottle or some dinner (or all three!) you owe it to yourself to head up that way. I know there are a lot of dog people in our yelp community so I do want to make it known that they do not allow dogs on the property. And as of right now no one under the age of 21 can go on the property also.

Can't beat this place. JW is the owner and he is top notch! Food and wine is second to none. The best bottle is the Crimson Creek and we fully enjoyed the crab dip appetizer, lobster ravioli, lobster Mac n cheese and the salmon. The service was exceptional from everyone start to finish. You'd be missing out if you don't try Jolo!

    An outstanding view as well!

I ordered the pork belly bao buns, but they missed the mark for me. Coming from NY, I'm used to bao buns being marshmallow-soft and pillowy, but these were a hard, and the pork belly itself was quite tough. Our wonderful waitress noticed I only took one bite and brought the manager over. He explained that the cut is naturally mostly fat, which I understand, but the texture just wasn't quite right because it should be tender not tough. I declined a replacement dish, and he kindly credited it on our bill, though the interaction felt a little awkward. My husband's salmon unfortunately had a very heavy mustard flavor. The spinach farrotto underneath was quite salty. Since there isn't a kids menu which is fine, my daughter ordered the burger plain, but it wasn't really a hit for her. My coconut guava Paloma was okay definitely the best part of my meal though it tasted a little artificial. The ambiance has a lot of potential, and they had live music playing. However, it was a bit too loud for the space, forcing guests to raise their voices just to speak to each other. We also noticed our table hadn't been wiped down thoroughly before we sat down. The absolute silver lining of our evening was our waitress. She was incredibly sweet, highly attentive, and took great care of us. She is truly the reason I am giving 3 stars. She mentioned that they offer a completely different menu for brunch. Because the setting is so pretty and the service was so good, we might give them another chance for brunch down the road, but we likely wouldn't return for dinner. Proof that lighting and plating can hide a lot! Captured these beautiful views last night, even though the dinner itself was a bit of a letdown.

The ambiance was absolutely perfect, and the music complemented the experience beautifully without being overwhelming. The food was phenomenal. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and melted in my mouth. Paired with the perfectly prepared lobster tail, it made for an unforgettable meal. The whipped potatoes were incredibly creamy and delicious, and the lemon pound cake was the perfect sweet ending to dinner. I also have to rave about the watermelon margarita--it was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and one of the best margaritas I've had. The service was outstanding from start to finish. If you're looking for an exceptional steakhouse with amazing food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere, Mercantile Chophouse is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back!

We were seated promptly for our Friday night, 6:30pm reservation. Tables were well spaced and never felt cramped. We only ordered the bread basket, You Knead This, as an appetizer; opting for salads to start the meal. The Merc, The Chopped and The Grilled Caesar were liked by all. I personally had the Chopped and it had a great mix of texture and flavors with candied pecans, pickled onions, mandarin oranges and a sweet poppyseed dressing. All six of us ordered steaks, two ribeyes, three filets and one sirloin. All were cooked perfectly ranging from rare to well done. They were well seasoned and most of us chose the Gorgonzola Bacon Butter which was a nice addition. The Brussel Sprout appetizer is a huge crowd favorite, but the side dish is only charred. However, you can request that they prepare them the same way as the appetizer. They were delicious and so were the Au Gratin Potatoes, which were baked in their own little metal crock. Dessert finished up with a Key Lime Crème Brûlée that was delicately flavored with a light touch of lime. We also had a Brownie Sundae that was delicious as expected. Customer service was on point from the greet to the farewell and everything in between. Overall a truly flawless experience.

After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to return to those special ones, that have made a difference in my life and highlight them, for the benefit of the public, so they too can have an opportunity to appreciate the qualities of a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience. And Bernard's Gastropub & Eatery in Downtown Roanoke, is a perfect example. Bernard's was born out of the love of two culinary aficionados turned professionals that in someway have managed to create a restaurant with an environment that transmits this intimate love to the hearts of their customers through the attention to detail in its extraordinary customer service and amazing culinary masterpieces. Today, I felt like dining at this restaurant, which I admire for its consistency in always far exceeding my high expectations of what a fine-dining restaurant should be all about. Not knowing if they would have a table for me at this late time on a Saturday early evening, I drove in my pearl white Lexus to the nearest private parking lot and gave them a call to inquire as if they could give me a reservation for the next ten minutes. A gentleman, who later I found out was named Matthew, and would be my server, answered the phone with a very polite and welcoming voice; answering my question of what was the special dish of the day and to come on down, that my reservation was assured. As soon as I arrived to the small, very elegant foyer in front of the Host's station, he came out to greet me and instantly recognized who I was. My only request was that he give me a low table because at my age seating at a high table was a bit uncomfortable. He went back to see what he could find and ended setting me up with what I consider one of the best tables of the house, and I was so appreciative of his last minute accommodation. The menu was already setup on my table. He poured water from a special bottle into my water glass and asked if I wanted something else to drink. I asked for a Mocktail and since he also was a bartender, he prepared me one of the best mocktails I've ever had. To dine, I started out with their Mussels Carbonara appetizer, which came in a bacon parmesan cream sauce that was simply amazing, and served with toast points. As my main entrée I had the Dinner Special of the Night, the Seafood Trio. It had a delicious, giant size crab cake in the middle, scallops, and shrimps, with parmesan risotto sautéed heirloom tomato, spinach, and nice size asparagus, with a burre blanc sauce. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the high-quality of their food and magnificent ambiance of the place. Everything was so delicious that only one word could ever describe them: priceless! For dessert I had their very famous Butterscotch Banana Pudding, which the chef makes at the moment ordered. It looked spectacular and tasted amazingly delicious: a culinary work of art. What a great way for the Gran Finale of an extraordinary dining experience!
