The End Posts food is just amazing, it's always fresh, always tastes great, they make it in front of you a little bit there's a little window where you can see the chefs cooking in the back! The service is amazing always, it's always very cozy in there too. Nice couches to sit on, or plush chairs! You can eat your food outside too and take in the views that JOLO has to offer! Excellent menu and service, wine was unsurprisingly solid. Kitchen was genuinely fantastic. The atmosphere for the patio and outdoor seating are the real draw here. Gorgeous setting, well-appointed. If you go, make sure you sign up for a tasting just to avoid the awkwardness of having to ask to sit in the bar; because we arrived a little early, we asked to be seated in the bar area and were seated between tastings, and somewhat understandingly were ignored a bit in favor of the other patrons. That said, the staff was really nice and the vintner was surprisingly present - like everywhere. All in all an incredible place. Highly recommend. read more

The restaurant (and winery!) is beautiful. It's upscale southern charm meets rustic farmhouse. The table was beautifully decorated, and the view of the lake/property is wonderful. There's also outdoor seating which looked super cozy, as well. Service - phenomenal! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. The food took a little while but honestly it went by quickly as we were having a great time, and I think there's only 2 chefs maybe. Food! - we ordered a ton of stuff so here we go. -Meatballs: 10/10. Must try! -Chicken Pesto Flatbread: 7/10. Flavorful, cheesy, a nice app. The chicken could have used more seasoning. -Crab dip: 9/10. So good! It's very flavorful. Could use a bit more crab but the seasoning is on point. Ask for soft bread! -Calamari: 8/10. It's really unique and tasty! I've never had calamari like this. The sauce is outstanding. -Greek Chicken Salad: 9/10. Great flavors! -Eggplant Rollatini: 8/10. Crispy and yummy! -Shrimp Parmesan: 8/10. Unique and unexpected. A huge portion! -Apricot Pork Ribeye: 9/10. Great cut of meat. Delicious sauce. -Butternut Squash Ravioli: 6/10. A little sweet. -Scallops & Risotto: 10/10. Bomb!! That bacon jam is out of this world. It's just the perfect hint of sweet with the creamy risotto and tender scallops. Star of the show! First time dining here. The ride would be beautiful on a clearer day, the vineyard is lovely with a view of Pilot Mountain. Service was great and the place was very nice and clean. My husband had the Lamb Lollipops, his only complaint was that he wished he had more. I tried the Eggplant Rollatini this time and it was absolutely delicious! We tapped glasses to the JoLo Red Blend; YUM! We will definitely be revisiting. So many wonderful looking menu items and wines, we can't wait to go back! read more

We have been wine club members at JOLO for a few years now and we frequently have meals at the End Posts restaurant and up until the purchase of Rayson Winery in Mocksville the food has been awesome. Since the purchase of Rayson though thats not the case. The service and food both are subpar. It seems the previous wait staff and cooks were moved to Rayson and the End Posts at Jolo is not what it used to be as far as quality of food and service goes. The wine is still the best it can be but I am afraid that we will find somewhere else for the food. read more

I have been to the winery many times but this was my first time at the restaurant. We will def be back! Their menu is great ... I had a hard time deciding what I wanted! We started with the frites which was so good! Fries tasted great. We shared a bottle of Jolotage which is always easy to drink. For our lunch I got the broccoli and sausage flatbread and omg loved it! My fiancé got the pork tacos... they were huge! I was a bigger fan of my meal than his tacos... the pork by itself was decent but what made it was the pickled cabbage and toppings. I really want to come back and try more of the flatbreads and their salads! This is a great date place and their wine is always good. We felt safe with the Covid restrictions. The servers wore masks and everyone was spaced out. The staff is always nice and welcoming here! read more

We decided to head up to the beautiful town of Pilot Mountain and visit End Posts restaurant at Jolo Winery. I haven't ever been disappointed here and today was no exception. We started off by sharing a cheese platter and a bottle of the sparkling called Beach Bubbles. 3 cheeses, crostini's, walnuts, dried fruit,& honey drizzled over it. Great!! I've been opted for one of the lunch specials it was a fillet mignon medallions over a green mixed with blue cheese dressing. It was really good. She chose the lamb lollipops. They were pretty good also.We also drink a bottle of wine that I now consider my most favorite bottle in all of North Carolina history. Carolus XII. A great blend of Can Franc, Cab Sauv, Petite Verdot, Merlot, as Zinfandel. Those of you who know me always know that I say North Carolina red grapes should be blended & that it's too difficult to make a single varietal wine that's super special and that blends are the way to go. Well JW at JOLO did exactly that and he's hit a grand slam with the wine! I got to give a shout out to Grace our server she did a fantastic job. If you guys haven't had a chance to have a glass or a bottle or some dinner (or all three!) you owe it to yourself to head up that way. I know there are a lot of dog people in our yelp community so I do want to make it known that they do not allow dogs on the property. And as of right now no one under the age of 21 can go on the property also. read more

Outstanding!!! That is the word that comes to mind every time I think about JoLo Winery. J.W. and Kristen Ray are the perfect hosts. They make you feel very welcome from the minute you walk in the door, and they are genuinely glad to see you. The entire staff is phenomenal...second to none. The fiance and I went to End Posts for their New Year's Eve five course dinner. It was an awesome decision. It was one of the best meals I have ever eaten; everything from the salad to the dessert didn't miss a beat or disappoint. The service was also amazing from the manager/maybe owner wearing a tux greeting people in the lobby to our waitress (I think her name was Dana) and the white glove service. The restaurant is part of JOLO winery and just opened up less than a year ago in April. It is a small cozy seating room, perfect in the winter with the fireplace roaring, the room only seats 26 for dinner, so you can guarantee it will be an intimate dining experience. For New Year's Eve the five courses were: First Course: Salad with goat lady dairy cheese, candied pistachios, and hazelnut vinaigrette. Second Course: Scallops (cooked purely) will a celery root puree and I believe chopped apples. Third Course: I went with the pork duo which was pork belly and pork tenderloin with grits. Let me tell you pork belly is one of my favorite foods that I order all over and this was some of the best pork belly I have ever eaten. It melted in your mouth and wasn't chewy at all. The grits were spot on. The fiance got the duo of a petite rib eye and short ribs. The short ribs were amazing I personally like a ribeye with a bit more fat marbled throughout but that is more a personal preference because the fiance really enjoyed it. Fourth Course: This was a cheese course, it was a delicious goat cheese, and a blue cheese. I don't like blue cheeses and I never have. I figured I might as well try this one and I almost had to spit it out. When the waitress said it was "barn yardy" she was not kidding, it tasted like I ate the barn yard floor. I will say the fiance enjoyed his cheese so obviously just a huge difference in taste buds there. Fifth Course: I had the molten lava cake with vanilla bean ice cream. I noticed that mine was the only one that came to the table with the fudge spilling out of it, which I thought was pretty surprising at this type of place. But hey it did cool my dessert down faster so I could eat it up right away. The fiance got some type of pineapple cake with a passion fruit sorbet which he enjoyed. Zac added the wine pairing onto his dinner and it did not disappoint. Although this is a winery the wines they paired the dinner with were different labels from all over the world. They don't just serve their wine here they have a whole book of options which I think is always a plus. If this did not happen to be one of the most expensive dinners I have ever had I would be in here all the time eating their wonderful food! Can't wait to go back in the spring to enjoy the property more. read more

Nice restaurant. Loved the music and the feel of the place. The meals, although expensive, were so tasty. The arugula salad might have been better with no so many stems a sit was a bit hard to eat, but otherwise it tasted great. We had three courses and they were all so good. I think the wine from Jolo should be a bit more reasonable. A 35.00 corking fee in the winery restaurant, just a bit much since the wines are not really 50.00 worthy(good but not that good). Loved how they gave us chocolates and cookies to take home. I would dine here again, not all the time since it is expensive but on a special occasion. Funny, the owner had dined there(really wised I had not seen him) but he told the hard workers out front he found a 100.00 bill on the floor, would they see it finds its way to the owner. It would have been so much nicer to see him say, listen, I appreciate you all putting in extra time for us today, please see this is split between you all. It just made me feel as if he , by doing it the way her did, was not appreciating them at all. But the food was great and I wish them much success I do think they need more parking read more

We arrived to a full house as a party of 5 and were advised the wait would be 30 minutes. After several times being asked to wait a few more minutes, it's been 1 hour and 35 minutes later. We're still waiting for a table. If there were any other options nearby we would have left long ago. Just didn't want to make a fuss to mess up our day together as a family. My wife and I drove over 2hrs to come here for some lunch and tasting. The food was awful. We ordered Shrimp, and some garlic fries for an appetizer followed by a Cesar salad and chicken parmesan. The shrimp tasted like they had been in a deep freezer and over cooked; the fries were cold and came out with the wrong sauce; the salad lacked an resemblance of an actual Cesar salad; and the chicken parmesan was also over cooked and under seasoned and the pasta and sauce tasted cheap. Not once were we asked by the server if everything was okay especially as they took the full plates away from us. Not worth the price, definitely not worth the experience. Save your money, come for the wine and scenery, and that's about it. read more

This place is special. We went to JOLO a few weeks ago for a wine tasting while scoping out places for our daughter's wedding next year. We went back for lunch at End Posts with two other couples this past Friday. I cannot say enough about the owner, JW, the manager Emerald and the chef (whose name escapes me). The food here is nothing less than outstanding. Such attention to detail. We ordered the cheese plate for a starter - at least 5 different cheeses, a pepper relish, and candied pistachios that we literally fought over. It comes with toasted baguette rounds and raisin bread rounds that were a perfect accompaniment. We had some of the best scallops in risotto that I have ever eaten and that is my go-to dish in a restaurant. I will go back for the scallops. My husband got the steak with a poached egg. Perfectly poached egg over steak that he could cut with a butter knife. Every meal at the table was just perfectly prepared and declicious. JW, the owner, is a perfect host. He gave us a tour of the grounds (beautiful) and is so knowledgeable about the wine (which is oustanding). Emerald was our server and she could describe the wine down to the tiniest detail. She never missed a beat and didn't fail to answer any of our questions. She knows her stuff. The wine. The wine is so good. Several of the varieties have won awards, but the proof is in the tasting. The Pilot Fog was wonderful with our meal. We started with the Grey Ghost (a white) which was perfect and light. Not one aspect of our visit was less than stellar. I highly recommend you go. They only serve lunch, and you should make a reservation. Its about a 40 minute drive from Winston-Salem and very easy to find right off Highway 52. read more

Friends invited us to dine at End Posts, and we are so glad to have learned about this gem of a restaurant at the JoLo Winery. We were seated at an outside table with a spectacular view of Pilot Mountain. Both my husband and I had the scallop appetizer, which was perfectly done. I had an unusual entree, a breaded and fried poached egg, over spinach orzo. It was really tasty. My husband had the duck, which he found succulent, the tenderest he'd ever had. Dessert was walnut cake for him and cappuccino panna cotta for me - both fabulous! We will certainly be back. Just wish it was closer! read more
