Love this place! Great food, inexpensive, great drinks, great dessert, and good variety! The seating is spacious and offers tables w/chairs, bench seating, high tops, and a bar. Outdoor seating and live entertainment in the summer. Sports on the tvs. Great service with friendly staff. There is only one kinda grumpy gal but she is on top of whatever it is as well. Me and a couple of golf buddies tried this place after we finished our round and we were not disappointed. Savannah, our waitress, was phenomenal!! She was highly attentive and knowledgeable and took very good care of us. I had the ribeye and an add-on shrimp and it was great. The shrimp came with a sweet Thai Chile sauce that was fantastic. Onion rings were a hit, they also came with a good sauce that had a hint of horse radish but not over powering. Then, Savannah brought me a homemade cupcake for birthday!! It was huge and covered with icing. (Somebody told her it was my birthday...might have been me). They did a nice little song when they brought it to me. That was special. Can't say the food was perfect but it was an awesome little place and a very attentive waitress that made the trip there a great experience read more

I've been wanting to try the Tilted Ladder for quite sometime so we ventured out recently and gave it a try on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly and the staff was very nice. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant but the band outside was super loud on the patio(we sat inside). Not a deterrent at all but just noting it if you go on a day they have live music. We ordered our food and drinks pretty quickly. This is where things didn't go so well. Our waitress came to our table at least 4 times within an hour to say she was sorry that it was taking so long to get our food but the kitchen was busy with all the people they were serving on the patio. The restaurant inside was just as crowded/busy so that didn't really make sense. We finally got our food after about an hour, and it was subpar. We ordered a hamburger on Texas Toast. It was not Texas Toast but basically just bread. The bread was so hard and stale and was not edible. The hamburger was ordered with sauteed onions and there was literally ONE sliver of an onion on it. The burger was also cold. We also ordered a 4 ounce fillet. It was mediocre. It came with macaroni and fried pickles. The macaroni was about 4 bites, was cold and tasted like it came from a box. The fried pickles were greasy and tasted like they had been sitting for awhile. I was hoping to have a better experience. I know restaurants have 'off' days but EVERYTHING about our meal was off so I probably won't go back. I really wanted to like this place. read more

Excellent place to eat. Best burger I've had in a very long time and at a reasonable price. Service was 5 star. Got the boom boom burger and it was amazing. They really rocked all the sauces. From the semi sweet butter sauce for the sweet potato fries to the boom boom sauce and the perl onion sauce for the rings. Top notch all of it. Definitely will be coming back. read more

So, I actually get to give a fair review now. It's been about 10 months since we first tried to eat here and couldn't get service. Tonight we did takeout and WOW! So glad we decided to give this place a second chance! The marinated beef tips are delicious! My hubby had the Chicken Alfredo, which he said was delicious. It's hard to get good Chicken Alfredo out, much less takeout! My son had baked spaghetti, also great! So, definitely will be back soon for more, and also very pleased to find out there's a delivery option also available. read more

The food is very good. Note this is a bar that serves food. My hubby had wings. They were good, not a clear idea of a true sauce. Ordered sauce on the side and it worked out. I had a steak house burger with loaded FF, good choice! Burger was flavorful and juicy. Wine list is limited but good. Mixed drink menu is to die for!!! Didn't have room for dessert, but I will have to save room for next time. Wait staff was very attentive and were on ha d quickly. Note don't drink the water, it tastes really weird. read more

We stopped in after hiking pilot mountain. The server was amazing, the food delicious and the atmosphere was great. I had a burger with pimento cheese and bacon, delicious. Lots of drinks to choose from too. Wish I lived closer, but if I'm back that way, this will be a guaranteed stop. read more

New place just opened yesterday. Located where Soppers used to be. Decided we would try it out. We got the Boom Boom shrimp appetizer which was very good. The sauce could have been a little spicier for me but I like things hotter than most people. I got the crawfish gumbo which was excellent, and was thankful they were peeled. My wife got the blackened chicken which was also good. They have beer and wine. A couple of the owners introduced themselves and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Pilot Mountain needs a place like this. read more

We were looking for a dog-friendly restaurant after a hike at Pilot Mountain State Park, and the Tilted Ladder was perfect! They have a side patio that is dog-friendly, with heaters for chilly weather. The wait staff were all super sweet, and the chef even came out to say hi to our dog! My husband had an excellent ribeye steak and I had the margarita flatbread--good but I would have liked more tomato, less cheese... That said, we would definitely go back, especially for music nights! read more

Pleasantly surprised considering the reviews. Shrimp tacos didn't have much cilantro or lime flavor. Chicken salad sandwich was yummy. Server was friendly and very attentive. I'm not a fan of servers eating and talking where diners can see but it is Pilot. I would go back. I think menus need expanded. read more

We were at the new Pilot Mountain Winery and asked if Pilot Mountain had a restaurant. We were told the Tilted Ladder. All we wanted was a drink and an appetizer. Had the poppers were good. The reason I gave this place 5 stars is because the service was friendly and we'd definitely come back here. Did look at the menu and would say it's a nice variety from sandwich to salads to steaks. BTW, it was Halloween so I'm guessing all the people that were working there don't normally look like they did. If that's their normal look, I might have to change my review. :) read more

Very disappointing!! I stopped there one day for lunch, and I was very surprised at the limited menu. I am a pescatarian. The only seafood on the menu was an appetizer for shrimp similar to bang bang shrimp. I asked the waitress why the menu was so limited with seafood, and she said she just really didn't know. This place is a sleeper, you walk in thinking it is going to be the average run of the mill place, you'll walk out making plans on when to return. They do an onion like the blooming onion that is excellent. I've been there so many times and been very pleased each time. Took a trip to Pilot Mountain with my besties to try this restaurant that I've been wanting to try since they've opened. I couldn't believe all the options. It was great! I love having a variety to choose from. Ended up getting the Kentucky Bourbon chicken since it was a restaurant favorite. I couldn't believe how delicious it was!!! Sooo good!! I normally choose not to get dessert but I saw Creme brûlée cheesecake on the menu and had to get it. Everything was super delicious and I can't wait to go back to see what everything else tastes like. read more
