I have lived in the middle east for over half of my lifetime. As an person that has tasted high quality HALAL food from Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and United Arab Emirates. I will never except burnt food and food that is not fit for a pig to eat. BEWARE of FOOD TRUCKS.

We stumbled upon this food truck in the Old Market the other day, and all of a sudden we got really…read moreexcited about their seafood; as they boasted about on social media. The menu is very limited, and focused more on chicken wings? I mean I like a good wing, but I really wanted some crab legs, maybe some shrimp, or even the boil. Nada. I will say though, the catfish itself did NOT tasted muddy like I've had in the past, so I'll 4-star that. The fries were seasoned with what I assume was lemon pepper, and it really competed with the BBQ sauce. The flavor of the breading on the catfish, was by far the best I've had in a long time. The generator, oh the generator. Extremely loud, and I'm just not a fan of yelling my order to anyone.

I called ahead and he ensured he could take care of our group. The food was incredible. Everyone loved it. The sauces might be the best part! And the flan was so delicious. I will definitely be visiting the food truck that's closer to my area, but will gladly make the drive to Bellevue for this food.

I ordered the traditional and it was very large, well cooked and seasoned, and definitely made me want to come back and try more, especially the cheese steaks. I had read their menu on their…read morewebsite and was prepared for what wanted, but when I got there they had different items listed, which, for me was a bonus, because they had the 5 I had hoped for from their web site listings. I first tried their Puffy Greek Steak Tacos, which consisted of a fried tortilla shell with steak and a feta cheese salad mixture, that was to die for. Very well done and presented. Next I had their Philly steak Quesadilla, which was not disappointing also. Hard to mess up a Quesadilla, but this was above average in taste and texture. Glad I made the trip today, check their facebook page for location and daily menu. They have maybe 10 menu items, but only serve 5 of those in a given day.

This last visit they had the entire restaurant decorated for Valentine's Day coming up. But, besides the additional decorations the overall vibe is what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant but more. The service has been friendly and fast! The original Margarita is very good and for the price its about 3 servings. The complementary chips & salsa is great and more of a forgotten service nowadays, but great to see that Alegre is still doing it. The homemade tortilla chips are so good so be careful to not fill up on these before the main entrees. Kendra got the Chile Verde which was massive and was enough food for leftovers the next day. And, I had the Ceviche Sampler which is new and definitely worth every penny! It's hard to find restaurants that have ceviche on the menu, but this has been one of my favorites if you love seafood and a repeater for me! If your looking for more of an upscale $$ Mexican restaurant with great food, service and ambiance it's hard to beat El Muchacho Alegre.

I've had this restaurant recommended by multiple people and I can say it lives up to the hype. I loved the decor and music playing, the atmosphere was casual and fun. We were sat in a little booth but there are high and low tables and a bar area inside and a patio outside. The patio is shaded, which will be nice in the summer. We had chips and salsa brought to the table, and they were the typical restaurant chips and salsa, nothing special but tasty. I ordered the birria tacos and was so glad I did! They were cheesy, greasy, full of meat, and the consommé was rich and flavorful. The rice was really flavorful and the beans were typical. My husband ordered a cantarito and I thought it sounded good so I ordered one too. They were much bigger than we've had before. They were kind of warm, cherries were added, and it was heavy on the orange juice. I wouldn't order one again, but I would definitely order a margarita. They all sounded so good, and I'd love to try the candy shots! They only came as a set of 4, I wish we could get them individually. Overall, a great experience and looking forward to going back to try more.
