I think this place converted me. Prior to coming here I had only had my eyebrows threaded once and thought it was more painful than waxing ever was, I only came in here because my brows were starting to look like Wolverine's and boy oh boy am I glad I gave this place a chance. When I first arrived there were about five people sitting on the couch and three people in the chair being waited on. I initially signed in requesting an eyebrow wax but after watching the eight people all go for the threading service I decided to try it one more time. After a short wait (maybe 15 minutes) they called my name and minutes later I was done and my brows no longer screamed I am Wolverine. Since my first visit I have been in and out of this place in under ten minutes. Love these ladies, they are the nicest ever, are super gentle, and always make me feel comfortable albeit the pain. Two years ago I would say this place was great. Nikki does a great job. It took 2 months for Nikki to fix my eyebrows after the other 2 had made them too thin. I specifically voiced that today the person working because Nikki wasn't around. And the same thing occurred - she thinned them and tried to tell me they were done when they were uneven. I've been here three times now. The first visit I basically got a full body wax by Shazia, she was GREAT. Friendly and gentle. My skin was so soft and smooth and I didn't get any in-grown hairs (which is normally a problem for me). The hair is just beginning to come back after 4 weeks. She couldn't do my face so I came back for a second visit - again an excellent job! The hair on my face grew back pretty quickly so hence my third visit which was a walk-in and an O.K. visit. The lady was to only wax my cheeks and chin, she left so much hair behind and around my chin a got a few in-grown hairs. She also charged me a full face price - which didn't make me very happy. I am over the moon I found a clean and close to my home threading salon! I found this salon through Yelp reviews! I was unable to get into my regular salon located way north and I was not about to drive back up that way the next day (New Year's Eve) so I turned to Yelp. The salon has plenty of street metered parking (is there any other kind of city parking anymore). The salon is clean and fresh and you are greeted with a pleasant smile. When I came in they were burning this incense that smelled so good, not like the stinky ones of my high school days. There are 2 chairs that are already reclined back so there is no awkward neck spraining going on. I literally was in and out in 2 minutes. Quick, fast, semi painless and great results. Being from Los Angeles, threading salons respect your time, appointments and value you as a customer. Unfortunately I can't say the same for this place. I've been here 4 times and there has always been a problem, whether it was my eyebrows, leg waxing or arm waxing. Worst eyebrow place I've been to in a while. Might have just been the lady I had. Left a huge chunk of my right eyebrow missing, and also left them uneven. This is THE BEST salon I have ever been to for threading and waxing. I have been threaded by each of the ladies and they are all awesome! It does hurt a bit. However, they try to be as painless as possible. The salon is cute and very clean! The women are nice and they greet you with a smile. I've been coming to this spot for three years. All the ladies do a good job but Lubna is my favorite. She makes me feel valued and welcomes me like family every two weeks. The wait can be long so I recommend getting there as soon as they open. The wait wouldn't be as bad if there was a bigger waiting area and parking can be hit or miss. Went here for my first threading experience and it was AWESOME!! I walked in after work and they took me right away. The threading was quick and the woman who helped me was very kind as I had a lot of questions because I never have been threaded before.
