They take reservations by email or you can call and leave a message. We got dressed up and headed to our fancy tea. The place is a very small store front with room for about 10-15. Its decorated beautifully with China and tea cups. The server was so friendly and accommodating and explained all the different teas they offered. We got the lunch special which came with scones, mini sandwiches, and dessert. Everything was so fresh and good. The scones were so moist and delicious. It was the best scones I've ever had. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the host and seated at such a cutely decorated table. The interior of this place was so cute and it felt really cozy since there were only a few tables. We chose our teas from a list of so many options, and decided on the creme brûlée and the orange cinnamon teas. Both were so good as the creme brûlée was sweetened with a subtle caramel taste and the orange cinnamon reminded me of fall! The treats that came with the high tea included a chicken sandwich, ham and cheese on a cranberry bread, egg quiches, scones, strawberry cake with ricotta cream, fruits, chocolate chip cookies and dark chocolate bites. My wife and I were in the area for our wedding anniversary this past weekend, and wanted to partake in a relaxing afternoon tea experience. Looking online, I came across this place and after reviewing the prior reviews on Yelp, as well as the overall atmosphere I got from the photos, I reserved a setting for us. When we arrived, the place definitely held up to its name. Though this is a small tea nook, it provided a very cozy experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Alina with a very warm reception, who had a big smile and a jovial spirit. After seating us, she explained everything to us about our choice of teas, and when bringing the food out, took the time to go through the entire tray to explain what each item was for us. After that, she gave us enough space for us to enjoy or conversion and food, while always being accessible to any questions we may have, as well as making sure we are doing well or if we needed a refresher on our teas. The food was fabulous! From the scones, to the sandwiches, and the desserts. It all tasted wonderful. You can tell Alina and Dena really have a passion for the experience they provided for us. The teas we chose, which were the Crème Brule and seasonal Cherry Cinnamon Almond, were very flavorful. They were so good, we ordered some loose teas to take home to enjoy. Overall, it felt very hospitable and like we were visiting a friend. I brought my parents and daughter here for a special high tea, specifically because The Tea Nook describes itself as a "Victorian style tearoom" with food that is "made from scratch by the owners." I came in with reasonable expectations based on exactly what they promise. The experience did not deliver. The china was mismatched and looked like thrift store finds, not the fine, curated pieces you'd expect from a Victorian tea setting. The "napkins" were mismatched handkerchiefs folded into the tea cups, which felt more like an afterthought than a charming touch. The food was the most disappointing part. The cucumber sandwich, a benchmark item for any high tea, was served on inexpensive bread with the crusts still on. Other items tasted processed and pre-made. At one point, I clearly heard a microwave running in the kitchen right next to our dining area. For a place that explicitly advertises scratch-made food, that is hard to overlook. We paid $200 for four guests. At that price, the gap between what is promised and what is served matters. If you're looking for a casual, relaxed tea party, you may enjoy it. But if you're expecting a genuine Victorian high tea experience, know that the marketing sets a bar that the execution does not clear. read more

Afternoon tea has always been special in my family. My mom and I shared adores afternoon tea and went often together, and as he was growing up my son caught the tea bug too. Since my mom passed the tradition has carried on during visits with my son. This time, we wanted to share the experience with his girlfriend in his gma's honor, and The Tea Nook was the perfect spot. The food and tea were delicious, the price was fair, and the cozy space is decorated so sweetly. The gal who helped us was kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more meaningful. The only drawback is the reservation system, which was confusing and frustrating with lots of back-and-forth before we were finally confirmed. The Tea Nook is such a quaint place, and the name does not lie. You definitely need to make a reservation as it is a little nook in between some larger stores, and only has 4 tables. Came here with friends for a nice afternoon tea on a rainy day. They book up fast so make sure you ask for a recommendation. I have an allium allergy and they were very accommodating. I learned about this tea place from a friend. We used to go to Power's Mansion Inn Tea House and apparently this tea place has the same owner. Reservation was pretty easy via text messaging... or maybe I did it through FB Messenger. Either way it was easy breezy! I took my boyfriend's mom here who was visiting from Texas. I have moved out of Sacramento so we made the almost two and a half hours to get here. We had a great experience so I'd say the drive was not too bad :) I'm pretty sure we ordered the Full Afternoon Tea Luncheon. Each of us received a small plate of salad with a slice of quiche, 4 mini sandwiches, a scone, three small desserts, and a pot of tea. I personally would have loved to have another sandwich and one less dessert. The scone alone was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth and the desserts we received wasn't going to travel well in our drive back to Reno, Nevada so I had to force myself to finish the desserts LOL! My experience at The Tea Nook in Lincoln was wonderful. Dena provides excellent customer service. I went to the Tea Nook on Sunday. August 14, 2022 with my mother, my sisters and our daughters. Girls Day Out! We dressed up and genuinely enjoyed ourselves. We loved the decor, the quaint little tables, the tea party ambiance. We were lucky that we were the only party in the room, which was nice because it made it an intimate setting. Our food was yummy. The little girls had Mac and cheese. My daughter loved it- she wanted more lol. I loved the variety of the food. I love tiered platters. Scones, sandwiches, cookies, yum! The tea flavors were unique and special. We chose 3 different flavors for our party and the non-caffeinated tea for the little girsltea pots were also dressed nicely in their own "clothes." For the price, I think it's a good value. You're paying for the experience, not just the food and tea. I will definitely come back because 1. I LOVE tea parties! 2. Dena is so sweet and accommodating. For $50pp, we got: 1 small salad + slice of quiche 1/4 sandwich x2 (at a tea place in SF we got 2 full sandwiches = 8 pieces) 1 small croissant sandwich 2 scones + lemon curd/ whipped cream (no devonshire cream as well) 1 chocolate covered strawberry 1 macaron 1 puff pastry w strawberry + whipped cream filling So for 4 people for $200, we got the salad + quiche and one 3-tiered stand of food. In comparison at Lovejoy's for $29, I got my own 2-tiered stand full of food and for $35, hubby got a full 3-tiered stand full of food for himself. It's no wonder we left hungry. Tea food is NOT hard to make nor is it expensive... I think increasing the amt of food by a tad would go a long way with making people want to come a lot more often. In the Sac area, there's really no good tea place, so this place is one of the rare ones around which is probably why they can charge $50pp. I think we'll just make do with hosting our own tea party at home, where $100 could go a long way to get a lot of delicious baked goods + tea sandwich ingredients. This tea house is situated in in a very small place, but it's really decorated sweetly. We've been to a couple prior to this and we're excited. The young woman who see this and gave us some menus was very friendly and very welcoming. I was disappointed in the so-called school as I expected a typical English looking scone, but rather it was a cinnamon pastry that to me was nothing like a real scone. The egg sandwich and the cucumber sandwich were great. Unfortunately, the chicken salad sandwich that was served in a miniature croissant was a huge disappointment. The chicken salad was interesting, but the croissant was like something off the shelf of Safeway. It was clearly not fresh made, and tasted old. Enjoyed most of the experience, although it took forever for her to come back check. There are only three tables in the small setting with a lot of cabinets with beautiful cups and saucers. My son asked to go to tea to celebrate his birthday. We were going to be in Roseville, so we looked for a local tea room and found The Tea Nook in nearby Lincoln. I only contacted them the same week of his birthday, so I did not have high hopes of getting a reservation. Imagine my delight when the Owner Dena contacted me to say she could accommodate our party of 6 this Saturday. She provided me with all of the necessary information, asked me to preorder either the full or light tea meal so she could prepare in advance, and was very inviting and pleasant. She let me know she would be there to greet us and that her business partner Patti would be serving us. We arrived and were greeted by Dena and Patti. Both were super friendly and welcoming. The Tea Room is small and quaint, but is beautifully decorated. I was told they can accommodate 12 guests. We were lucky to be the only patrons at the time so we had a private party. Patti was super attentive and conversational, telling us about some of the local shops and happenings. She made us each a pot of tea, and the flavors were delectable. They have about 20 teas from which to choose. We tried ones called Powers Mansion, raspberry, orange spice, a berry blend, and creme brulee. I had the creme brulee tea and it was so light and sweet but not too sweet. Patti always made sure our tea cups were filled. Our first course was really yummy veggie quiche, served with fresh salad, grapes, and creamy broccoli cheese soup. Everything was delicious. Each item was the perfect size to allow for eating lots of variety. Patti brought out the next course on a three tiered display. One level had the most delicious scones I have ever tasted. One was blueberry and the other vanilla. They were served warm with delicious lemon curd and chantilly cream. Patti said she is the baker. Another level had three wonderful tea sandwiches. Classic cucumber, a salami and cheese spread, and a chicken salad on croissant. The vegetarian in our party had egg salad and a roasted veggie croissant. Dessert was a trio of goodies, starting with a phyllo pastry puff with a delicious cream and vanilla sauce and berries. Sweet and flavorful macarons, and a delicious-looking chocolate layer cake that I was too full to eat and my sister took home. She loved it. For the amount of food you get and the wonderful service and experience, I think the price is very fair, especially considering you are supporting a women-owned small business that started during the pandemic. We were told they change up the menu often to honor the seasons and holidays. For example, the special tea today was red velvet in honor of Valentines day.
