Tried The Tavern with my family on a Tuesday night. The place was crowded, but not too crowded that we had to wait for a table. That told me the food was good and the fresh. Apparently new owners since March 2025. The old reviews on Yelp caused me to not go here a few weeks ago - BOY IS THAT A MISTAKE. The food is tasty, the service was attentive and the vibe is awesome. Great dinner with my lady. Crabcakes were more crab than filler and the house cocktail sauce really added to the shrimp cocktail, just the right amount of horseradish. Not impressed. It has been over 2 years since we dined at Seaville. The dining area is dingy. I ordered a cheesesteak. Instead of the fried onions that were offered, I asked for raw onions instead on the side. I was charged 25 cents for 8 tiny pieces of onion. Are you kidding me??? My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich that was grizzly. Now we know why people in our development do not encourage people to go there.! read more

Meal was amazing! Scallops were perfectly cooked. More importantly, the service provided by Channel was beyond outstanding. She was one of the best my wife and I have ever had. She was the perfect combination of friendly and pleasant, efficient, knowledgable of menu without reading. We have family down in this area, so we tend to stop when we need a quick lunch The bar is quiet and very dark. Plenty on tap. Always friendly bar staff. The food is good: we always get the coconut shrimp and they're big and the sauce is flavorful But the prices have gotten out of bounds. 6 coconut shrimp is 15 dollars. A cheese quesadilla is 16, with any kind of meat in it it's over 20 bucks. I know everyone is struggling, but the prices are a bit much. read more

Stopped in with a party of 8, ten minutes before closing, were immediately seated and given great service from the get go. Phenomenal food and drinks, zippy running food and exceptional desserts. Good food and service. We ordered honey BBQ wings well done (crispy) and they were served that way. They were big and meaty too. Generous with the celery and the blue cheese. I felt the wings took a bit of time to get to the table and we were literally the only table in the place. They have so many beers on draft there. You'll be sure to find something that strikes your fancy and they also run some specials. The appetizers were 3$ off the menu price but I think the beers were only 50 cents off. I ordered the grilled shrimp wrap with lettuce, tomato, bacon and plump shrimp. It came with a side of fries too. I thought the shrimp was plump and very tasty. They didn't skimp on shrimp and the fries were generous. My husband ordered the egg plant parm special for lunch. It was very generous and served over pasta for 8.95. Food was very good for a quick stop on our camping trip. Meghan our server was funky fresh and very personable. Soups were delish and was a very large portion; the chicken bacon ranch wrap was very tasty. Old Bay fries were spot on too. Wings didn't disappoint - but don't let the "Inferno" sauce scare you - it wasn't as hot as it sounded. Overall a very nice lunch experience for our group and we'd def come back again next time we're rolling thru town. read more

What a shame. Usually one of our local favs. Hoped to enjoy an easy lunch btn errands. Caesar salad had cold chicken taken right out of the fridge. Funny smell and taste. Sent it back. My salad was ok tho only heated to blacken it. I didn't eat my chicken given my concerns on the other meal. Ordered a potato soup which was good. Manager seemed unfazed by our feedback. Waitress was distracted. Took 3 times to get the water we asked for to go with our drinks. Time to say good bye to what I thought was a good local sleeper. read more

Entrees were short rib shepherds pie which was good but meat not as tender as he remembered it. Sliders which were rated as excellent. Wings were rated good. ordered the short rib with mashed potatoes and the "vegetable of the day". The short ribs were not short ribs. A good quality short rib should fall apart at the touch of a fork - whatever I got was solid as a rock and full of fat. The mashed potatoes were ok, and the gravy tasted fine. The vegetables were undercooked. I wouldn't mind as much, but this was a $23 meal. For $23 I expect a lot better. read more

I am here to celebrate a Friend's retirement and I'm early as usual. (On a side note my dad always says if your on time your late if your late don't show up) Anyway, sitting at the bar and can see they have a nice selection of beer and other spirits. Starting to get hungry because the appetizers look and smell awesome. They did a great job with the party, the staff was on point and the food was delicious. 3 stars for the food. Simple, easy, pretty good bar food. Sandwiches and fries are really good. Decent menu. But..For having a full, 20+ seat bar and liquor store, something about consuming alcohol here rubs the people serving it the wrong way. I don't get it.. After a few completely respectful and sober trips here, I can only get a beer or two in before the bartenders look the other way. They aren't attentive at all. Empty glass on the well for 40 mins easily..They're older and very nice but they don't sell drinks! I'm not one to shake my glass or call them over but maybe I should? My husband and I have been coming here for a while now, but his steak sandwich was very Grizzley. My burger was grizzley and I asked for it well done and it was bloody red not pink. We had a rough experience there. I don't blame the server for this, and also she let us know that she wasn't aloud in the kitchen (weird)to check on food. (She actually said she was yelled out) We waited over an hour to get our apps. Which came out wrong. The offered to redo them but it already took an hour. You'd think because of the wait and it was wrong they'd offer to remove them? Nope. The meals were "ok". They forgot some sides that come with it, and the server was upset with the kitchen because they prepared the plates wrong and knew better. It wasn't even crowded to the fact it took as long as it did, and a lot was wrong was tough to get past. My boyfriend and I went here to get a bite to eat and have a beer at the bar. When we arrived there were probably 6 people sitting at the bar. We arrived at 8:20 and took a seat. As soon as we sat down the manager approached us to tell us the kitchen is closed. Weird considering it's Saturday night. Ok no big deal even though we were both hungry. Figured we'd have a couple beers and go to the Diner across the street for food. The bartender was very attentive to the regulars but didn't seem in any hurry to refill our drinks as we sat there waiting for awhile. Still no big deal. Then we noticed several plates of food being served to the other patrons sitting at the bar. So...I guess they pick and chose who gets to eat at this restaurant. The whole experience sucked. Sadly, I cannot recommend Seaville Tavern. I don't know if Covid has caused the issues, but service was inattentive and the food was over cooked and poorly presented. We were one of three parties in the place at the time. I still had to fetch my own condiments from a central location, and my brother had to flag down the waitress to get a drink refill. I ordered a burger and asked them to hold the bun. The cook placed the burger directly on the plate: no lettuce or tomato underneath. It wasn't even appetizing looking. When the bartender finally came to ask our order she stopped and asked another employee if they are on hold. good evening everyone......well lets see...i stopped at the tavern tonite to have a quick one and try to give the S.V.T. another try (since in past i havn't had too many good experiences) but i do have to say i was impressed!!i had 2 PBR's which were very cold and took advantage of thier seafood nite and had some u peelem shrimp and they were quite tasty...and cooked perfect...the bartender was real friendly and very helpful...got my beers quick and food came out in abt 5min....very good S.V.T....I WILL DEF. I am from South Jersey and have a campground local to the Seaville and always enjoyed going there to watch Phillies games. The food is average bar food but always happy to sit at the bar and watch the game. But tonight while watching Phillies game the bar service was terrible if you were lucky to.get the bartenders attention to get a drink it was far and few between. But at 8 pm the Bartenders started wiping down the bar removing draining grates and taking to kitchen completely ignoring customers. Even came down to one side of the bar being empty and the other side with nothing but empty glasses!! At one time a customer actually said i guess that was last call, it was 830. Mind you the dining room was full of people so I hope they didn't need a drink. Even saw a kitchen staff come out and get a drink while all the paying customers sat with empty glasses. I certainly hope the owner of the Seaville has made his money because your employees are seeing to this being your last season. Saturday night and a bar in a shore town closing at 9pm. Trust me I will be going to a bar that wants customers. read more

Why all the hate for this place? There aren't too many places in the area with a full bar without going in to Sea Isle, so we decided to check it out for dinner. I had the prime rib and my wife had the pecan crusted cod; both were specials of the night. The prime rib was really delicious; tender, tasty and juicy. Came with 2 sides for $19. Very respectable value. My wife raved about her cod as well. Decent drinks. Good size. Not too much nor too little booze mixed in. If anything, it took a bit long for the food to come out, but it wasn't terrible. This is a bar. A tavern. Serving tavern food, not sure if we just hit a good night but will definitely be back. read more

I have to give this place so many props and then a few more after that. We wandered into here one Friday night during a crazy road trip. My travel companions and I were tired and hungry....I was also whiny. We were seated and looked through the menu. I'm a vegan...I also have a severe dairy allergy - boy oh boy did they ever take care of me!!! Our server was gracious, patient and kind. When she heard allergy- she brought out the manager who ran through everything. I needed up with a hot veggie sandwich on marble rye with the biggest, sweetest, most delicious sweet potato fries ever. I tore that sandwich up...it was so good. There were three of us that evening. My friends both had sandwiches as well, but needed theirs boxed up for later. Not me, I finished ever crumb that was on my plate. It was so good, I wish I had one now. We sat at the bar for several minutes before the bartender even noticed us despite walking past us a few times. I asked for a piña colada, glass of water, and a food menu. I got the piña colada a couple of minutes later, and my husband got to order his beer. Many minutes later I was able to ask for a food menu - which it turns out were in front of us (below the bar, so we couldn't see them). We ordered food. After the appetizer came out, she finally brought me the water I asked for when she first noticed us. A while later, we got our food. Both of our drinks were Lear empty but we didn't get the chance to order more. Several minutes later, after starting our food and needing to stop because of the lack of drink (their pot pie has a lot of flour in the sauce), we finally got to ask for refills. In their defense, the bartender disappeared for a few minutes (probably on break) and whoever else was walking behind the bar completely ignored the half we were sitting at. Overall, the food seems to be pretty good. But the lack of service, 6 draft beers out (problem when you advertise flights of craft beers), inability to pour a Guinness, and high prices do not make this place worth visiting. Like I said, the food is pretty good, and if it wasn't for the rest I would be fine with paying more than at the average bar. A dreary Saturday afternoon and the pIace was empty.......THEN when we got our menu's and I understood.why.......THEIR PRICES ARE REDICUIOUS...$15 for a Cheese steak...$15 for a Burger......and the prices for aII the other sandwiches were as bad! It was my first visit to Seaville Tavern, I met a friend for Happy Hour and it was midway between us. The Seaville Tavern has a great craft beer selection with many local brews available. The service was great and the owner/manager came over to check on each table, what a great touch. We ended up splitting an appetizer of boneless chicken wings and they hit the spot with the Thai Chili sauce. I will absolutely return to check out the rest of the menu. read more

If you are looking for good drink specials, cheap "bar" food and a place to watch a football game, this is probably more of a 3-4 star establishment for you. However, if you want something fancier than mozzarella sticks, or cleanliness of the restaurant/bathrooms, or the service in the dining room is important to you - 2 stars are generous. I hadn't been here in years, and it's changed owners (and names) a few times since then, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot. We weren't looking for a fancy dinner or anything, just a drink and some light food. The specials (Tuesday) were great - a pitcher of blue moon for $7, $5 apps between 12pm and 6pm, and any burger on the menu was $5. We ordered our drinks and mozzarella sticks (boyfriend's pick) and they were actually better than I expected. I admit, I wasn't expecting much, but they didn't taste like old oil and the cheese inside wasn't molten and gross - not bad for $5. The $5 burger we ordered sounded delicious (we both got the same one) but our "medium" burgers came out like hockey pucks - why ask how we want them cooked if you're not going to pay any attention at all to how you're cooking them? They were so so overcooked. Completely black on the outside and gray inside. We were the only people in the restaurant, so I don't know how they overlooked the only two things on order. Pretty sad. The fries were really good though - again, no icky oil taste (like I'd expect from a place like this on a quiet Tuesday) and cooked perfectly. If you want a decent dinner, I'd pass over the Seaville Tavern, but if you want to kill some time and have a few drinks and some cheap bar food, check it out for happy hour. read more

I will never go here again or spend another penny!!!! This place has the worst service I have ever experienced!! There is a reason why there is plenty of parking on a Friday/Saturday night !! We walk in and there are only about 4 people in the waiting they tell us 15-20 minute wait with a bunch of empty tables, 20 minutes later they tell us that they are going to let another table they just sat order than they will seat us in about 10 minutes so we ended up leaving and went to Dino's. While I was sitting in the waiting area I watched $500 walk out the door. My neighbor even warned us a few weeks ago about this, they actually had to walk out on their order because it took over an hour for their food to come out. I've lived here in Seaville all of my life, and while I've felt they've left me hanging at times, I know I can go to this local bar of mine and they'll put on whatever game I want to watch.
