I would like to express my concerns regarding our recent visit to your establishment, which was…read moreadvertised as a kid-friendly environment. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. During our visit, I witnessed the owner loudly reprimanding children and their parents for typical child behavior. Additionally, our order was not fulfilled; the steak and cheese egg rolls were unappetizing and resembled a processed paste, and the side salad was simply a mix of greens with ranch dressing, despite my request for balsamic vinaigrette. Furthermore, the owner's aggressive demeanor was alarming. He followed me outside, questioning where I worked and suggesting that I should endure the same treatment. This incident escalated to the point where he demanded $400 for wall damages that were nonexistent, as there was no visible marker on the walls -DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DRY ERASE MARKERS. or because the child wrote her name so small that even if it was permanent marker, you would never be able to see it, but they were doing something wrong and we did have a conversation with them. After they stopped crying because you screamed in their faces While I understand that children should not write on walls ( even though looks like you can and has markers on them), the response from the owner was excessive and disproportionate. I believe that a more professional approach, such as a polite reminder about the rules, would have sufficed. This experience is disappointing, especially since we had previously recommended your establishment to others and enjoyed our visits. For families seeking a positive environment, I suggest considering alternative venues, as our experience did not reflect the welcoming atmosphere promised. .

I had the blackened shrimp wrap which was out of this world.. the seasoning on the shrimp was so tasty and the best part is that it was full right to the bottom of the wrap as opposed to other places I've had wraps. The fries were nice, hot and crunchy when served and very tasty. He had the steak bomb that was just as good. They use sweet yellow peppers instead of green which made the sandwich even better.. we sat at the bar with Rich the bartender who was very nice to chat with and on his game. All in all I have to say it was a perfect lunch and will definitely be back. Thank you to the entire staff for a job well done!

When we entered, she introduced me to the young woman who greeted us and another woman, a waitress, who was standing beside her. My girlfriend introduced this waitress by telling us "she called me the n-word to my face". I was surprised and did not know how to react. This woman responded with "that was a joke". No apology, but an acknowledgement that she did actually say it. There is no context in which it is ok for her to use that word. There is no situation in which it is ok for her to say that to a woman of color DINING AND SPENDING MONEY IN YOUR RESTAURANT. There are many ways that a person can address the fact that they've said bad things in the past. "That was a joke"is not one of them. It's certainly not how it should be handled at work. There was no dispute that she said it. "You are a n*****." When called out, she said it was a joke. She did not say "I'm so sorry, I still feel awful", or "I'm so sorry I upset you", or even "I would never say that". Instead, she defended herself and her words by claiming it was a joke. It's not a joke and it never was. By saying that, she was letting me know that, while at work, there ARE acceptable uses for the n word. There are not. Do I need to say that I don't want to eat at a place where I might hear racial slurs? The waitress did not deny that she said it and she did not apologize. She defended herself and justified it. Saying it is disgusting and justifying it is disgusting. I have no suggestion for how to resolve this. Your waitress could have simply acknowledged that it is always wrong. Instead she chose to blame my girlfriend for taking it personally and not "getting the joke". Please clarify your position on when it is, and is not, ok for your staff to use racial slurs. If you think "it was a joke" makes it ok to look right at someone say "you're a n*****", you are wrong. It is indefensible. Allowing and defending this behavior is disgusting. Please take some action to show you understand.

I went with a friend for lunch yesterday (Thursday), and after trying pretty much all of the major restaurants in the Hingham/JNorwell/Cohasset area, this restaurant was clearly at the top of my list. We were served the Wagyu Beef Sliders and the Bacon & Carmelized Onion Arancini for appetizers, and the Pulitzer Short Rib Burger and Norwell Hot Chicken Sandwich for entrees. I say that we were "served" those things because we actually ordered the Bavarian Pretzels and not the Wagyu Beef Sliders, but because the sliders were so delicious, we figured that we'll try the pretzels on the next go around. All four of our dishes were absolutely fantastic. The sliders and arancini were absolutely top-notch. I've had so many average arancini that I forgot what it's like when cooked at a high-level. It's as good as any I've had anywhere. And the Pulitzer Burger is now my favorite burger ever. Just the right amount of char on the outside with the inside a perfect medium. The chicken was moist with fantastic seasoning. The unexpected surprise were the fries. The fries here are outstanding. And they achieve something that I've never seen anywhere else: their fries are "pillowy". They are crispy on the outside, but the inside is remarkably moist and fluffy. I'd have to categorize these as steak fries, but steak fries are usually a bit denser. Service was terrific, and the decor of the place is not "dated", as another reviewer commented. The place was clearly built to give off a classic and intimate vibe. I didn't try any of the fish offerings this time, but I plan on returning and checking them out. It blows my mind that I never heard of this place until a few days ago.

Unfortunately, the service felt rushed and somewhat impersonal. Our waitress was responsive when she was at the table, but she tended to disappear for long periods of time. As for the food, it was honestly just average. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and I'm sad to report it was a disappointment. The hollandaise was cold, the eggs were over-poached, the English muffin only was toasted on one side and the hash browns lacked flavor. Even the coffee I ordered with my meal arrived lukewarm. Surprisingly, the best part of the experience was the Bloody Mary I had at the start of the meal. Maybe the the food would be better during lunch or dinner service. I might give them another try in the future and hope for a better experience.

My husband and I came in on a Sunday when brunch was still being served. I ordered an espresso martini and he got a bloody mary. We both felt like there was alcohol missing from our drinks. Then we ordered lunch: turkey club for me and smash burger for him. My turkey club was missing the avocado the menu stated it came with. On the flip-side, it was overloaded with mayo! And I like mayo, sometimes I even like a lot of mayo, but this was TOO MUCH even for me. But I did enjoy the fries that came with the sandwich and ate them all! My husband's smash burger did not look "smashed" at all but he said it was good and he liked it. We shared a chocolate chip cookie skillet for dessert that had a suspicious amount of whip cream on top, like it was hiding something but it tasted fine. I don't think we are impressed enough to want to come back but I would still recommend checking it out and deciding for yourself ;)

They have some good draft beer options, but it could be colder. We tried the Korean wings for an appetizer and shared the plate between the five of us. The bread service is excellent with crusty type bread and it's served with green oil and yellow olive oil and cheese dipping sauce, a must-try. So far i have always gone with the chili seared yellow noodles either with chicken, shrimp or just noodles and it is spicy as it has some red peppers in it but it is excellent, served with chop sticks if you prefer to use them. I would not recommend the salads there, my wife hasn't been happy with them compared to other restaurant offerings. Reservations are recommended and watch the hours because they close after lunch at 3pm and re-open for dinner at 5pm. My favorite chive oil (complimentary) remains Sorelle in Abington, but The Square offered a very tasty version of their own. My pork belly tacos were delicious--maybe fewer raw red onions in the slaw, or use pickled ones, since they did dominate the flavors. My friends enjoyed the burger and the smoked turkey grilled cheese--more club sandwich than actual grilled cheese. The fries were crispy and hot. We didn't have room for dessert, but I'd like to go back and try the salon burger and the Wedge salad. I didn't get our server's name, but she was friendly enough and checked back a few times. There were plenty of staff to clear dishes or refill water glasses. The price point is a bit high for lunch as compared to similar establishments, but the interior is clean, modern and hip, so I'm sure the rent factors into the overall costs. I'd go back again.
