Sat at the bar, ordered drinks, received menus, waited and waited for the bartender to take our orders(hubby finished his first beer while waiting). This bartender paid so much attention to either regulars or her friends at one end of the bar. Keno players were definitely a priority, too. Hubby's pork chops were a miss, very bland. Woman beside me received her tips and side salad from kitchen staff as bartender was away from bar for a few minutes( not a big deal), only needed utensils though. We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday after winning a gift card through a local raffle. I am so glad we did because this place is a diamond in the rough! My husband and I both ordered burgers and they were SO good! I tried the black and blue burger with blue cheese and added a fried egg on top. The bacon was crispy, the cheese was creamy and it was perfectly cooked. The service was prompt and friendly and the restaurant was quiet and beautifully decorated for Christmas. My husband has a gluten sensitivity and loved that the waitress knowledgeably explained that their fries are handcut and not coated with flour. Recently heard about the Monday deals here of 1/2 price burgers. Since it was MLK day and I had a vaca day, figured the perfect day to go and try it. I walked into a wall, which is somewhat strange but they probably do that because it's winter here and when the door opens, it would make the tables near there cold. Anyways, I bellied up to the bar and was able to watch Friends on TV and ordered a Texas burger and a glass of wine. Fries do not come with the 1/2 price burger offer so I went without and it was a good thing because the burger was hugh. I also made sure to get the Texas burger because it came with onion rings on top. This way, it helped me offset my not ordering a side of fries and it was a great choice. The bar was on the smaller side, maybe 12 chairs and not many were filled. The restaurant was semi busy and there are tables in the bar area too if you prefer that. They have Keno if you enjoy that while dining. I have to say the bartender was super nice and helpful. She knew it was my first time there and she was available with any question(s) I had. I also noticed a hugh and I mean hugh private room with a beautiful fire place. I took a photo of that to share with anybody who is looking for a venue. It's very pretty and very large. I wanted to update my review of Meadowbrook! The place has a menu that should offer something for everyone. Their dinner portion salads are fresh and the addition of the deep fried corn bread croutons is the best part of the meal! I love their turkey dinner specials and my husband is a huge fan of their ribs. The burgers are still some of the best around. The only negative is that on occasion the service can be spotty, but most of the staff is friendly and attentive. Our kids love the soft pretzel appetizers. Although the service was good, I feel the server had too much on her plate. She had many tables to serve. I do not recommend the chicken parm. Definitely seemed like chicken slices dried and served. This is our weekly, sometimes twice weekly, go to restaurant. Debbie (owner) and her staff are always warm and welcoming. Their function room is outstanding and has been of great service to the local community. Food is constantly good, Mondays are burger nights. Seafood is always fresh and for those times that something my not be 100% correct, they want to know and make it right. Prices are still reasonable. While it may seem in the middle of nowhere, it's only about fifteen minutes from Route 24. It's a large, open, spacious restaurant with dozens and dozens of tables. While the clientele appears to be on the "older" side, it's still a viable option for any group, family, couple, or any singular person for lunch or dinner. The menu is very lengthly. Definitely something for everyone. A large variety of seafood, sandwiches, burgers, soups, and more. For the type of restaurant it is, there are a lot of offerings. The service is friendly and efficient as well. When I went, there was barely anyone here, so for reference, you may have *extra* good service as I did on a Tuesday around 3 pm. I guess I'm the only person lame enough to go out for lunch on a Tuesday! Everyone was full upon leaving and everyone was happy with their meals. Decent spot. Our first time here. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Casual but nice ambiance. We ate in the dining room but the bar area looked inviting and they have Keno. My brother, the connoisseur of burgers, rated his burger as one of the best he's had. I had the lamb chops which were delicious, fresh veggies medley good and not over cooked, the baked potato... Delish! Then there was the dessert menu! The huge chocolate chip cookie with ice cream (Richardson's), hot fudge and caramel was sinfully yummy. The grapenut pudding, homemade, large portion, delicious. We're planning on going back to try other homemade dishes, desserts and one of their specialty cocktails. We went on a Monday night which is famous for $5 specialty burgers and they were excellent, cooked perfectly and good sized. Server was very attentive and the onion rings were decent, not great, but the French fries were horrible, not even close to being good. I've loved this place since it was Catalidi's. Used to swear by the veal and eggplant parmigian. I'm sure it's still good but my new go to is the fish and chips. Great fish, clean tasting and fresh. For food I would give 5 stars. It was very good. We came for Easter Sunday. Our reservation was at 1:30PM. An hour after we ordered, and over 30 min after salads came out, no sign of food. We asked the waitress and they blamed the order of French Onion Soup on the delay. I have ordered FOS at hundreds of restaurants and not once did it delay food. The manager tried to make it right by offering dessert. The waitress brought ice cream for the kids but failed to bring dessert menus for the 7 adults. When asked she brought one out. We decided that dessert would take too long as we had been there for a couple hours already. The manager really tried, but the waitress was either new, or having an off day. I have alwAys been a fan of Butterfields in Rockland even when they were on the hill. Meadowbrook in Hanson is also excellent. My husband and I tried it for a date night after moving from Rockland. We both loved it. I was in heaven with my steak tips and my husband with his pasta and meatballs. It had been a while since we'd gone. We're doing our best when we can afford it, to support restaurants during the stay at home order. We ordered our tips and pasta for Easter diner take-out. It was delicious. I did buy one slice of coconut cake. It was a very small slice for $7.99 so I will not be able to order dessert again as it was not a shareable slice. We don't t often get dessert do we enjoy it when we have money enough to split. With that said, they have a good menu and good food. I recommend it if you're looking for a place to try. read more

Nice country setting. It had a relaxed feel to it. When we visited on a Sunday evening in the summer, there were mostly older patrons. But the staff was young and friendly. The food was amazing. My husband ordered the house special steak tips. He said that the flavor was some of the best he had ever had. And they were extremely tender. He even liked the flavor of the mixed vegetables. And he's not a vegetable lover. I ordered the black and blue burger without the Cajun spices (so basically a blue burger, lol) cooked medium. The burger was cooked perfectly. And the roll was grilled with butter. The burger was so big that I could only eat half of it. It came with French fries. They came seasoned and cooked to a slight crispness. Their flavor was so delicious that they didn't even need ketchup. We took a take out menu so we would remember the name and location because we only happened upon it when out for a summer drive. Just had dinner at Meadowbrook. Everything was excellent. Our server Cassie was fabulous - spot on with food recommendations. Started with a special app - veggie spring rolls - yum. I got pecan crusted salmon & husband got 1/2 fr scallop & 1/2 whole belly clam special. All excellent. Finished with a special brown butter cake with ice cream & caramel topping. Four strong stars because the french onion soup and the smothered bbq steak tips are phenomenally delicious-as are the juicy burgers, but the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. A few minimal improvements could make this place so much more inviting. A little constructive criticism-play up the rustic vibe of the building and give the bar and dining room some personality. A better greeting when you enter. Some candles on the tables and accent lighting over the bar so you can actually see the menus would go a long way. And right now the dining room looks like it's stuck in the early 90's. Also-the poor solo guitarist you sometimes have really needs a better song catalog. People do not want to feel depressed and melancholy while out to a nice meal. But the fact that you even have entertainment is a big plus. Overall this place has SO much potential and we'll continue to go there, especially because it's only real local competition is Cameron's and Monponsett-which are both such poor quality-poor service places now. Meadowbrook has always consistent quality food, huge menu, great specials....now they just need to make the building feel more memorable and welcoming. read more

Went here last night for the 4th time. I very much enjoy this place. The staff is so incredibly friendly and attentive. I haven't had a bad experience! I find that you will have better luck with their dinner meals such as steak tips (SO good), pasta, seafood, etc. Their burgers and sandwiches are okay but not their strong point. Lots of choices for appetizers. The spinach and artichoke dip comes out in a huge plate and is enough for 4 people to share! It was very good. Generous portions. The only complaint I have is that they don't have beer on tap! I found that a little odd. They only have bottled beer. They have wine and a full liquor selection however.
