Took my mom here yesterday for a quick Mother's Day bite, big mistake. We were forced to sit outside because the bar inside was packed with loud college students. It was chilly, but manageable at first. We ordered apps and drinks -- no problem. But when we tried to switch my mom's entree from shrimp to steak, the manager said it was fine but would take longer. We agreed. Then we waited nearly an hour with no updates, and when the food came, they still brought shrimp. Not to mention, all of our meals came out at once, so the entire table of 6 waited nearly an hour for that one steak. The waiter looked clueless when I mentioned it to him, the manager never came back to our table, and no one acknowledged what happened. We were cold, frustrated, and the whole night felt careless and dismissive. My parents don't go out often, this was meant to be relaxing for them. Instead, it was a mess. Food might be decent, but the service ruined the experience. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

We ordered some truffles fries and a marghertia pizza. The fries were so salty . They use truffle salt and not oil so maybe they were heavy handed on the salt to get the truffle flavor . These fries also had Parmesan which contributed to the saltiness. In my opinion not sure how many orders they sell of this but a nice poutine would be a better menu option in my opinion. The margarita pizza had very little basil.Not sure why you would not chop the basil up instead of placing a leaf or two on each slice. It also said sliced tomatoes they were more like diced and buried under the cheese. Service was ok no issues. The ambiance was nice we sat outside as the interior is rather small. read more

Right in the middle of the Bridgewater State campus area, this is the best spot if you're a student. On slower nights it's relaxing and a great place to drink and chat with friends, and the bartenders are super nice and will talk with you. On some nights they have a DJ and it turns into more of a nightclub, and it gets extremely busy and a little claustrophobic. But during warmer months they have the outside deck open and this helps with that. Overall a perfect spot for college kids. read more

This is the second time giving this place a chance! Steak tips not cooked to order and chewy! Medium rare should be easy to get to. Broccoli was mush! Chicken tenders burnt to a crisp. The Chardonnay was served warm, which was interesting! The possible (manager) he asked one table how their meal was, which is why I assume he was the manager. He saw that I needed to go to the bar to get ice for my hot ass Chardonnay and attempted to wrangle the waitress who was chatting up the boys in the back, but alas even he couldn't get her to work! Food was good, portions were alright but definitely on the smaller side. Drinks were horrible. I would not recommend coming here and expecting an even decent drink. There was no kids cups so my 2 year old had an adults glass and wasn't even given a straw until I asked, and then the server brought an opened straw and just put it in his cup... horribly unsanitary. Our server was nice and a lot that happened was not her fault, but she should try a different job. She sat down with different parties while we were waiting for her and had to get up to get her. She had to get a hostess to tell us things she messed up on. She was supposed to remove multiple items from our bill, and did not until we reminded her. She was nice and maybe it was just a long busy day but she was horribly inattentive and unprofessional. Small tables small area long bar. Fine. Moving on. Brand new waitress who was extremely young pretty much knew nothing. Fine. Moving on. My friend got a single shot which was the size of half the glass of water. Fine. Again. Moving on. We order the food which tasted good but was way overpriced. For example. Mac and cheese was $9 to add steak tips on. It comes with three baby tips which is $3 a baby tip!?! Ok. Steak tip entrees. Five baby tips on massive plate of fries. $20+!? The steak and cheese sliders app pretty sure is steakums too. Last but not least, my fried dough dessert came out raw and doughy in the middle. Great way to cap off the night!! Last night we stopped by and grabbed 2 drinks each. The Big Daddy O (Tito's, peach schnapps, and pineapple juice). The drinks were strong but delicious . We ordered the Marinated steak tips, onion rings, and jasmine white rice. The rice was hard and no flavor, onion rings were basic. But the steak tips were tender, Marinated perfectly, and seasoned well. Great steak tips. Dawn the waitress was great. We ordered an appetizer 1st. But our meal came out before the appetizer of boneless chicken with garlic parmesan. The manager comped the appetizers for the delay. That was cool. We have been to Greyhound Tavern for Brunch several times! It is one of our go to spots for outdoor beverages in nice weather, as they have a large outdoor deck. We come for the cocktails! Today we each ordered a Coco for Cocoa Puffs cocktail off their Brunch Menu (Vodka, Coffee Liquor, Chocolate Milk with cocoa puff garnish). It was absolutely delish. We followed that with the drinks that made us try this place to begin with Boozy Iced Coffees. He got Hazelnut and I peanut Butter. All of our food was from todays specials: Appetizer: Roasted Cauliflower Truffalo. This is roasted cauliflower florets with a sauce that is a mix of Buffalo Sauce and Truffle Oil (i think) with Blue Cheese crumbles. For us, the cauliflower was not roasted enough... it was almost raw. The sauce weal delish and the truffle oil cuts the heat a bit which is nice. Food: Hot Chicken and Waffles: the chicken was fresh juicy and delish fried boneless chicken breast smothered in hot sauce. Cooked perfectly. The waffles were fluffy and golden brown. Topped with syrup for the perfect blend of sweet and Spicy. A perfect portion if you are hungry! Served with Homefries. Biscuits and Gravy: this special was delicious. The portion was HUGE. Four biscuits topped with Sausage gravy. For me the gravy was a little thin but the flavor profile was great. Served with fried eggs and homefries. The service was prompt and attentive and the table was ready right at the time of our reservation. Would be a great place for a group brunch... as they serve towers of mimosas etc. read more

The saddest part of visiting Bridgewater is that this is, by far, the best restaurant in the town with the 99 a distant second. The food, service, and atmosphere are all more-than-adequate especially if you are used to college or prison food. Luckily the booze flows readily and makes the food tastier. I've been waiting for my food for over an hour and still nobody has come by to check in or apologize for the inconvenience. It's absurd for the manager to come out and ask every table except our table if they are okay and happy. We are the only black people here so of course he's not going to come up to us. The worst place ever and the food was cold when it came out. I can easily make any dish they have in my kitchen. Do I recommend? I only recommend if you like wasting shit for breakfast...wish I could give less than one star. read more

Had a great experience on a Friday afternoon. We arrived around 1pm and were seated outside. Their outdoor space is so adorable and cozy! They even have tv's so you can watch the game if you're into that. Our waiters were friendly and attentive (one was training the other. Both were great) We started with drinks. I got the Passionista and thought it was very tasty with a nice kick in the back of your throat. I wouldn't say it was spicy but you definitely feel something. My friend got the El Jefe and loved it. We both ended up ordering another El Jefe. Same, I wouldn't call it spicy but it has a kick and was delicious. For food we started with the pretzel bits stuffed with Gouda cheese, which I would not call bite sized. You get three of them and their fairly big. Absolutely delicious! So buttery and flavorful with the perfect texture. Then we got the Caprese salad and Fish & Chips. The salad was good, pretty standard. The fish was delicious. Perfectly cooked, nice and flaky. Love that we can make reservations online. Love the mimosa tower and bucket of bubbles. The staff are normally friendly and the food can be really good. However, it isn't always consistent and so we just don't feel more than a three star is justified right now due to the inconsistency and higher prices. The other ladies had a burger- she said it was nice n fresh, buffalo wings, truffle fries, and garlic parmesan wings. My friend who ordered the wings said they had too much breading on them and one person said their burger was "OK" but everyone else was quite pleased with their meals. I had a margarita that was small, but tasty. For atmosphere, most of the seating is high tables which I find super uncomfortable because of a bad knee. Also the parking is tough. I think they need to clean the lines and adjust CO2. We switched to cans after the first draft. It's not so bad that I'd complain... but not good enough that I'd recommend it to a friend. We saw this place had a nice outdoor patio so we wanted to give it a try on a nice Friday afternoon. Well, we've been there four times - and have never sat outside! The bar is so cozy and Mary the bartender is so friendly, we just stay at the bar! Lol. And we keep coming back because the food is so good. The steak n cheese sliders are the best and a must order. Today I had the shrimp tacos....everyplace serves three tacos, I usually don't eat them all. With these, I ate all three, and wanted more! They were SO good! It is now our permanent Friday hangout. This place is the perfect hidden gem. It's small and has character without trying to be anything it's not. Case in point: We were noticed as new patrons and approached by what I would assume was the owner or manager to see how our experience was going. We mentioned we were local but first timers. He said something we have said time and time again: You can get a drink anywhere but we try to make the food and staff stand above the rest. He was correct! They do. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some drinks and friendly service. We had the buffalo cauliflower for an appetizer and it was not only huge, but delicious. I had to hold back on eating too much because I knew we ordered entrees. We both ordered the steak tips and they are stupid good. Yes, that's a rating in my book, and it's pretty much the highest you can get. Perfect blend of smoky and savory.
