This place has a great beer selection and I can definitely see why it's a popular spot with the townies. That said, the food was "meh" at best. Burger was unimpressive. Chicken tenders and steak tips left a lot to be desired - the tenders seemed as if they were straight out of the freezer isle at your local supermarket and the steak tips had no seasoning whatsoever. Driven by this place a million times but never stopped in until the other day! The interior is bright and inviting--really cute for a bar! (62 beers on tap). There was a kid at the bar celebrating his 21st birthday with a cement mixer shot--the bartender told us what it was and it's nothing to celebrate! Our waiter was a hoot--super friendly and gave me scoop on motorcycle gang history in the area. Who knew? We all ordered off the specials menu. The only disappointment was the meatball sandwich--essentially one meatball sliced and buried in sauce on a large bready roll. Other than that, the Korean BBQ stir fry was filling and delish. The craft beer selection is insane here! From my seat, I could see three beer boards (out of 6) and it was heavily weighed in east coast beers. But some good breweries on tap such as Bissell Brothers, Battery Steele, Lawson, etc... The pizza was ok. Needs more sauce. The wings, meaty and cooked well but I wanted a gooier sauce (we tried honey whiskey.) The onion straws were good! Our waitress was sassy in a good way. We bantered with her and we met the owners father and brother who we had a great conversation with. I would say this is a place worth voting again and trying more food! read more

I would not recommend this dive bar. We visited in August 2, 2025. Service and food were less than acceptable. After paying our bill my husband excused himself to use the restroom. when he opened the heavy door leading from the outdoor patio he found his foot stuck under the door. He was able to get his foot free and continued to the restroom and called me from his cell phone. He could not get the bleeding to stop. When I came to the bathroom the floor was covered in blood. We called an ambulance and he went to the hospital and received 5 stitches. I contacted George, who by the way should not be in the hospitality industry. He was rude, belligerent and argumentative. My request was simple, please reimburse my husband for his out of pocket co-pay. He pretty much told me to go to hell. I have never dealt with someone like this before. Worked up a good appetite while I was being worked on at Elements massage down the street. Not being very familiar with the area (I actually followed my favorite gal here from the Canton Elements) I Googled places near me to grab a bite. Riviera popped up on the pin map and after a quick read where it said 65 beers on tap even though it was Monday and even though it was only noon time I had to check it out. Glad I did as I found a unique bar that really did have an excellent list of draft beers, maybe the best around quality wise if not quantity as well. The food menu was pretty decent too so I was feeling like I had made a wise choice. Of course Monday at noon was not busy, just a few patrons and Dave working the bar. Heard it was busy the night before and I totally get it. If I lived nearer I would be here often and as it is I will try and get back sooner than later. I did the flight which is 7oz x 3 glasses or 21 ounces of DBL IPA bliss for $12. Love sampling things I haven't had before. Monday food special 1/2 price quesadilla with chicken was scrumptious. Two folks ordered sandwiches and they seemed pleased. Dave was beer very knowledgeable, has an engaging personality and I was actually envious that he spins beer for a living lol. read more

Calling all craft beer connoisseurs! This place has the largest and most extensive craft beer selection that I am aware of in the area. Lots of beers from both local and out-of-state breweries. I hate to say I think that's what keeps this place in business as the food and atmosphere is not the most enticing. I would recommend sticking with the pizza as everything else I've had from here is sub-par. The pizza is average at best but certainly not the worst I've had. It's enjoyable enough that I keep coming back to wash it down with a nice craft cold one! read more

We were hungry at 8:30 on a Monday and driving back from Hanover heading to 495. Our choices were limited. Took and chance and found that this place is worth returning to. Tasty pizza, great waitress and clean all around. I won't take off a star due to two things that bothered us because we like the place. The first, the beer menu with 62 draft selections didn't feature prices. This could be resolved by either posting each individual price or color coding the beer names to reflect a price. You should also post the ounces served. 8 or 12 oz, depending on alcohol content. Our beers were great and reasonable. $7 and $9 each. The greek pizza was excellent but on the smallish size for $14.99. But like I said, we'll be back when we are in the area. read more

Im giving this place 1 star only because it was Once known as a thriving champion of bar pizzas in the 90s/early 2ks. Now-"The Riv" has declined into the place people go to as a last resort. It has a very townie feel to it and the service is mediocre at best. Pizza is basically Tony's frozen pizza quality from the supermarket, other food is sub par(think of the local diner fare).the staff looks like they're defeated half the time or uninterested, and when they got rid of the pool tables (most moronic decision ever) they lost a ton of nightly buisness. People came there to drink and play pool and use the jukebox,so why self-sabotage and stray from what worked? read more

Awesome selection of beers on tap! Tons of breweries to choose from, and the selections rotate all the time. Sitting at the bar and trying different beers is always a good time. Food, on the other hand, isn't great. The bar pizzas are pretty consistently good, but the wings are always very dry, steak tips either under or over cooked, and fries are pretty meh. Worth the trip in for the amazing beer selection, but the food isn't really the feature of the place. If they stuck to just pizza and did it really well, I bet the place would be booming all the time read more

We came because there was an online ad about $2 pizza which was somewhat misleading. It was actually a very small pizza, and if u got toppings it was full price. The food was super late getting to us, and we'd gotten there long before the crowds came in. The service was OK to so-so. The waiter would tell us weather things costed extra or not, but it might've come off slightly curt, whether he'd intended it or not. Generally, he was professional. The drinks were good. I asked the party of 3 others with me what they thought, and they all seemed to think it was either so-so or just OK. But, the $2 pizza was advertised as a regular pizza, which was a let down. It mostly resembles a dollar store pizza, or cheap frozen pizza from a convenient store that was cooked in a brick oven. But, in the end it was a $2 pizza, not a bargain, but a pizza that was $2. We wanted to stay for karaoke, but we were all to tired and exhausted from filming all day, and 1 of us had a major move to do. I wouldn't say it was bad. It was fine. read more

Let me start off by saying this is NOT a family friendly establishment. When we pulled up and parked it was 4:00 pm on a Tuesday and wanted some pizza for an early dinner. There was a bunch of people loitering in the parking lot blaring music, smoking weed, and drinking. There was also trash all over the outside of the place. Despite this, I went in because I heard great things about the pizza. Upon entering with my 2 small children, we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of marijuana. I thought I was gonna get high from it! I sat down at a table and waited close to a half hour for someone to give us a menu(which was filthy). I ordered a cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza, and some onion rings. I timed it and the food took 57 minutes to come out and it was so disappointing. Onion rings cooked in burnt oil and were inedible and the pizza was doughy and under cooked, my kids wouldn't even eat more than a bite. I took my son to the bathroom before leaving and there was feces all over the toilet. I told the bartender and she said "what do you want me to do about it?" I will never be back to this place and my suggestion to you is to STAY AWAY! read more

I walked in and wasn't even greeted, mind you, there was NO ONE else in the establishment. The bartender eventually comes to me and says "what do you want?" I politely asked can I have a menu? She rolled her eyes and tosses one on the table, not even hands it to me! The place smelled intensely of marijuana. I order the BLT pizza with some mozzarella sticks. After waiting close to 55 minutes, mozzarella sticks come out and they're way too over done. The cheese is oozing out of them. When I bit into the first one, there's literally nothing but breading. I get my pizza and it's burnt. Like there's no way anyone would eat this pizza it's so burnt. I let the bartender know and she just said "that's how it's supposed to be." I was fed up at this point and after eating only one mozzarella stick and one bite of inedible awful pizza, I paid and left. We arrived just before halftime, the Patriots were putting on the Bears like the Bears put it on the Pats in the superbowl. To say they were busy would be an understatement. Just after we sat down, a guy in a Patriots shirt initiated a conversation about the game. We talked about the game, all the different beers on tap, and then the server came and he was gone. I later found out that he was the owner. We ordered the sampler #1. The menu said that it was good for 2 hungry people...it was. The food was presented in about 10-15 minutes. It was piping hot. I have no complaints about the food, I would order the same thing again. They have a very good beer selection..,32 beers on tap and more in bottles. The employees were cordial and happy to give you a complementary sample of one of the lesser known craft beers.
