We went here to the Pleasant St location on a very busy Saturday night at 7:30. Nice hostesses said seat yourself on the bar side. We found a table just cleaned on the bar side. Perfect timing as we walked in. Big bar with tables all around. Live music in the corner, girl w guitar playing 80's 90's tunes like the cranberries and alanis morrissette, etc. enjoyable! Guests singing along at times! Hopping atmosphere, it was loud but we didnt mind we liked the lively mood. Happy people here . Waitress was busy but attentive and friendly and apologetic for the busyness. Love the free popcorn, and it wasn't overly salty. More restaurants should do the popcorn. Pizza was delicious! Greek bar pizza with added mushrooms and another bar pizza w pepperoni and bacon. Fresh and very good. Owner came around to check on us and ask how the pizza was, I liked that. Great staff and the orders of the Titanic, fish and chips and steak tips with fries were tasty and nicely apportioned. On a trip while up North we decided to try this restaurant. A bowl of popcorn comes to the table. The menu offers, appetizers pizza, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, salads, some main entrees, desserts, a kids menu, craft beer, bar etc. Lobster is at market price and a lobster roll which was around $21 on the menu is now over $30 !! We ordered the New England clam chowder, (yummy), a chicken Caesar wrap, salmon Caesar salad and a side of sweet potato fries. I NEVER write bad reviews but I really felt inspired tonight. We knew the 2.5 rating made it a questionable choice for a family dinner but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. Kids Mac and cheese looked so unappetizing, looks like the cheese you get on nachos at the movies. The fish tacos were bland with stale wraps. The steak tips were ordered medium came medium rare and were unbelievably chewy. We decided our dogs were getting that 27$ meal. We will see if they will eat it. The rice had no flavor... How do you make rice pilaf taste bad. The floors were absolutely filthy. I hope Emma's management reads these reviews and can make a few adjustment. came here for a dinner ride with a group of about 22 people and the service was great! although it was a little slow all things considered, the waitstaff was super friendly were sure to check in on us a few times throughout the night. i ordered the turkey club on wheat bread and a baked potato which i really enjoyed. it was a great sandwich and the potato was well cooked. i heard good things about the french onion dip sandwich from other members in the group so i'll have to come back and try it. overall, a nice experience and we will be back! read more

With all of the Culinary institute mentions, I thought I would saddle up for a good meal... nope. I have frequented Emma's and Ronnie's waffles for over a year still looking for that good meal. No luck yet. Just about everything tastes freezer to fryer or oven. The pizza is actually bad, the apps taste like market baskets frozen section. Lobster Roll is a more expensive version of the 99's. Actually, try his is like a not as good as version of the 99. And I can't say a lot about the 99s food. However, the service is good, drinks are good and popcorn free. ( just like the 99) read more

Walked into the restaurant and I instantly saw the crazy guy who is in the commercial for Emma's. I ordered the chili burger which I thought it meant chili would be on top of the burger. My mistake just chili seasoning in the burger but it was very tasty. Husband ordered chicken gyro and he said it needed Taziki sauce. Kudos to the owner/commercial guy. Matt was our server and you could tell he was overwhelmed but there was no care. He never checked on us. We kept having to bother another waiter who was understandably very annoyed. I only ate half my food because he wasn't even around to offer me another drink. I wasn't impressed with my Buffalo tenders, not spicy and dry, but the rest of my family was very happy with their meals. I've never been but have gotten their pies from Market Basket to take home. I've had a LOT of pizza in my years and a lot of frozen pizza. The pizza is better then 99% of the pizza I've eaten on the south shore (this is including take out / delivery). Sounds silly but their approach to pizza is simple yet tasty. Great place to get a cold beer and watch talented local bands. Food is unfortunately pretty much as mediocre/phoned in as it gets, just frozen and reconstituted items, offset by passable steak tips. My advice, come to enjoy the outdoor patio in the summer with a nice cold brew, but I'd avoid the food unless you're already drunk. read more
