Columbus is a dump and the reviews I've left are my opinions of the places that have less than stellar customer service - including your business. I've had less than a handful of places that have been amazing. Which is why I continue to leave 5 stars to Mabella's. As I stated, I didn't care about the military discount - did you read the part that said, 'no big deal'? I'm assuming not. Probably too busy reading my other negative reviews. You told me how many sessions I could get for $40 dollars, you did nothing more. You handed me the clipboard and I filled it out. Which is why, after the first or second session, I didn't even know the standup bed was part of my package - which again, as I stated, you were hesitant on telling me. The day I stated to you that the facial bulbs weren't working you literally looked at me like I had 3 heads and said, 'they'd be fixed later'. I paid for the ENTIRE bed to work, not part of it. I wasn't *thrilled* with the experience I had with this company. They only offer airbrush tans at 2 and 3pm, which I find odd since they clearly cater to military and almost every military member I know is generally at work during that time. I am giving it two stars instead of one because they did originally offer to work with me and accommodate a different time slot after I called a couple times, which I appreciated. However, the employee I was coordinating with reached out 24 hours before the appt and asked if I could come in a couple hours later instead-a little moving things around on my end, but that was fine. Then on the day of the spray tan she texted me 20 minutes prior to the appointment I was already driving to and told me we needed to cancel because they didn't have a part in for the spray gun, and that we couldn't reschedule for another 48 hours. since I had to travel to my event the next day, turn around time didn't provide me with any feasible options, which I explained to the employee. She was very respectful in our conversation, but I think such a short notice adjustment and then a last minute complete cancellation was a little unprofessional. Definitely put a dampener on the event I had the tan planned for. I feel like a percentage discount or a complimentary service for another time would have been fair to offer. I probably would have given them another chance and not written this review if they had tried to make up for this mix up. read more

I have been going to the Tan Spot for yrs. Every time I have a question, I always get an answer to my question. I always get the Gold pkg. As a matter of fact I will be going tomorrow hopefully or Thursday to start a 10 day visits for the month. After I get my Gold pkg. I am really dark. I have never had a problem. I will continue to go there. I am sorry the few of that had a bad experience but this is a great place and they work with you to put your plan on hold if you are going out of town. I don't think of another place I would like to go. I tried the Palm something a few yrs back. My daughter was using them. She gave me a coupon to use but they would not honor it. I will stick with The Tan Spot read more

The Tan Spot is such a Clean and Friendly place to tan indoors. They offer great packages to choose from at Very reasonable prices. When you walk in you are greeted with smiling faces and a warm cozy atmosphere. Plus they remember your name. It is a pleasant and convenient spot to tan. My favorite is the Stand up booth. This is an excellent place to get a tan, the bulbs are always all bright, they have the best price in town and the best product and service. Very clean. It's family owned and operated! Just moved into town from Ohio and found this little gem! Jessica, who has worked the front desk during the day every time I've been in, is too kind for words! The facility is clean, silver beds are hot, and the stand up is great too. Just signed up for three months unlimited for about $150 (including tax). This was my first experience with The Tan Spot and a spray tan. Shannon, the owner has the BEST customer skills! She was very friendly, professional and I could tell that making me a happy customer was top priority for her. Shannon made me feel like I was the most important person and made sure that I was ok throughout the process, told me everything she was going to do before doing it. Yesterday was my second visit to The Tan Spot. I was disappointed in the fact that I experienced no results the first time I went several weeks ago. Since then I have been to several different salons in different cities with decent tanning results. I decided to upgrade to a better bed this time. The staff seem to have a bit of a "flight attendant" attitude. They asked no questions about my tanning history and immediately told me that I could only tan 6-7 minutes in a 12 minute bed. I started to explain that I tan weekly and believed it would be appropriate if I tanned longer... but I was interrupted before I had an opportunity to finish. After being put in my place, I went to Bed #5 - as instructed. I wasn't given any instruction on how to start the bed, so I pressed all of the buttons I could find. Nothing worked. I called the salon with my cell phone and they apologized for forgetting to turn it on. The bed promptly came on, only to find one of the facial bulbs were burned out. I was a little amused by the clock radio placed next to the head rest in the bed. Overall, it appears as though I've wasted my money and time twice at the Tanning Spot. It looks like I need to find a new "spot" when I come to Columbus. The Tanning Spot pales in comparison to other salons I've visited. (pun intended) read more

I came here last night to sign up for a one month membership, as I have a special event on December 10th I am trying to tan for. The owner Josh was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He said that he and his wife Ann has just bought the tanning shop a few months back. I love when tanning places make you feel welcome! I have only tried one bed so far and didnt get the opportunity to tour the rest of the beds, as the entire facility was booked when I went. I have lived in Columbus a long time and tried many tanning bed salons. I finally tried Tan Spot and will never try another. Lauren helped me and was so knowledgeable about the tanning process and all the lotions. I did see results my first lay. I was on my lunch break and she moved the line very quickly so I wasn't late getting back to work. I recommend anyone that wants a great tan and great customer service go to the tan spot. I am a avid Tan Spot customer. No matter if I have had a good day or a bad day I can always walk into the tan spot and get awesome service with a great smile and personality from all the employees. You may not see a result the first time you tan because every body is different. But the staff makes a point to point you in the right direction to get u to your personal goal quickly.
