I didn't find out until I was already en route. Instead of understanding, I was charged a no-show fee. When I addressed it, I was met with dismissive responses toldI was acting "childish" and called me "child" for not accepting any thing else that a refund of the no show fee, multiple defensive emails over three days, and ultimately banned from the salon. I was even threatened with defamation for saying I'd share my experience via social media. Thankfully, my bank refunded the charge -- but the way I was treated by MKP management showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. I can no longer recommend this business.

Last week, Tracey called and left a message on my phone informing that my appointment that I scheduled a month ago in July for the date of my birthday, August 15 @10am needed to be rescheduled because the attendant that I have the appointment with is ill. Because I've had issues twice with Maple Nail & Spa rescheduling then when I showed up for the appointment, the claim was that they didn't, I had my sister call so that I'll have a witness. On last Friday, August 14th, my sister spoke with Tracey via phone and Tracey told her the same thing that the attendant was ill and that I could rescheduled for August 22nd or 29th @ 10am. Because I have other appointments scheduled on both of those dates within the 10am time frames and the one on the 29th is unchangeable, I selected August 22nd @ 10am with Anna. My sister called Tracey back on August 14th and confirmed today, August 22nd @10am. Fast forward this morning, I arrived and was told "you don't have an appointment with Anna." Tracey is standing there at the counter listening to the counter attendant telling me this and I turned to Tracey and told her that you spoke with my sister and rescheduled my appointment for, today August 22 @ 10am and she defensely claim that she didn't tell my sister Liz Alford that nor rescheduled the appointment. I left and promptly called my sister and informed her of the events that just occurred. She promptly called Maple Nail & Spa and asked to speak to Tracey who refused to talk to her (counter attendant said that she was with a customer. My sister asked the counter attendant when would Tracey be available and the attendant told her that Tracey have appointments all day). So my main takeaway from this is, what happened to "my apologies, I made a mistake"...now, I'm no longer one of your customers which perhaps is okay with Maple Nail & Spa and I will share this experience on social media/Google and other platforms so that others want be surprised nor disappointed if this occurs with them. #SearsGone #KmartGone #PoorCustomerServiceTheReasonWhy

He tried to rush through services and the frustration was evident everytime I asked him to slow down and complete my pedicure properly. He skipped over the cuticle softener and went straight to push down the cuticle, while trying to upsell me on other services. I asked for the deep callus remover with a pumice stone as I don't want my feet grated. That seemed to upset him even more where he took the pumice stone and swish-swashed across the bottom top portion of my feet splashing water everywhere like see I did it. Let's start off with me. The technician seemed to get annoyed every I requested for him to scrub a little more. He completely forgot to do my whole left foot with the grater and when I asked him to do it he got upset and only did it for not even a minute. I also asked him repeatedly to remove a hangnail that I have bothering me and he never did after telling him multiple times. Over all he did polish my toes nicely but my feet are still so dry even tho I asked to get Aloe for rehydration. Now to my daughter. She enjoyed her pedicure in the beginning. The technician drilled her nails even tho her nails were bare leaving a bit of a painful mark on her big toe. When it was time for the polishing The technician who did her feet didn't file her nails or even put a base coat on them before polishing. He left polish all over her toes and when she told him about it he tried using his thumb nail to scrape it off (keep in mind this was regular polish). Overall we both felt like everything was rushed and was disappointed with the results. My daughter ended up repolishing her nails her self at home because of how much she disliked it.

The pedicure went well, it was timely the woman who did mine did an excellent massage and the nail polish looks great.However, when it came to my manicure I was disappointed. It felt very rushed. In salon the polish looked nice. and even. When I got out to my car I saw that it was very uneven and messy. The woman who did mine also cut all of my cuticle skin off. I had no time to go back, though I am sure they would have fixed the polish. Last night the polish lifted and peeled off of my index fingers after taking a shower. It is also chipping off of other fingers and I have to repaint them for the event I got them done for today.

I responded with, "No, I'm good that's rubbing on my skin" she then replied, "its ok" She really meant no harm I just took it as she gone do what she think is best, but could you leave me with a lil skin please. The polish needed a good two coats, what one would typically apply, she however did FOUR which I was a bit concerned as I thought it to be too heavy. Once she finished she escorted me to the dry bar where you sit and put your toes underneath the light. I sat for about 5 minutes before I allowed myself away from the table and paid. When I got outside I noticed that polish was on the side of my toes and air bubbles --- I was disappointed and thought to even go back in and have her fix it, but didn't feel that it was worth the effort. I spent $8.00 for someone to polish up the piggies and it didn't even look great :-/ The facility was clean, service was prompt and friendly and the price for what I wanted I did find, "ok" even cheaper than the previous place that I had went to prior. Because of this, we had to search for another attorney, start a new client/attorney relationship while Aiken continued to ask for attorney fees. As this was developing, we never heard one word from Mr. Aiken, his staff, or his legal team. It was a colossal collapse. Hire him at your own risk. "Never Aiken," should be the mantra for anyone looking for a responsible, divorce, litigator. Possibly the worst in his line of work

He had us to sit in this room for a very long time and to sum it up no services were completed. After being told one price and presenting a receipt he tried to raise the price after a deposit had already been paid. I could not believe the level of customer service received. This was a horrible experience.
