THEY DO SUGARING!!! FYI! The whole team at MKP Waxing Salon is so professional, so friendly, and so good at what they do! I almost never sign up for "packages" but I did (and would do again in a heartbeat!) with these wonderful ladies. Their new location is so convenient (on Whittlesey, off of Bradley Park), but even without the location convenience, I used to drive out of the way to go see them because I prefer them over other salons in the area. I've been going for almost 2 years now, and have had waxing services done by three different aestheticians (Natasha, Terandis, and Michelle). Each and every experience I have had has been nothing short of excellent. Highly HIGHLY recommend this salon! read more

After 3+ years as a loyal client, I was deeply disappointed by how MKP handled a recent appointment error. I was told one time over the phone (2:45 PM), but booked for another (10:45 AM). I didn't find out until I was already en route. Instead of understanding, I was charged a no-show fee. When I addressed it, I was met with dismissive responses toldI was acting "childish" and called me "child" for not accepting any thing else that a refund of the no show fee, multiple defensive emails over three days, and ultimately banned from the salon. I was even threatened with defamation for saying I'd share my experience via social media. Thankfully, my bank refunded the charge -- but the way I was treated by MKP management showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. I can no longer recommend this business. read more

Been there twice for eye brows . Both times service was friendly and quick.. got me in even a bit early ! Service was great !!

I love small business and I'm an even bigger fan when it's women owned and gives back to the community. The reception area is lovely and the receptionist offered me tea, coffee, and water for after my session. I had a hard wax Brazilian with the lovely Elizabeth, highly recommend her, my experience was seamless and painless (as Brazilian waxes can be). I really enjoyed the prep and aftercare for my skin for the Brazilian. They also offer a variety of other services including vajacials! read more

The staff is professional, informative and inviting. The waxing salon was cleanly and services performed were sanitary which I was highly appreciative off. Omg where do I start? I'll start by saying Natasha is an eyebrow God! I came to her new to the area with "Trouble Brows" as I like to call them. My eyebrows have always been bushy and all over the place... matter a fact my eyebrows are just flat out unruly and disrespectful. Only a few can tame these eyebrows. I found MKP on Yelp and after reading the reviews I decided to make an appt over the phone. I also found out that you can make your appointment on the website as well and see all of the open availability, which I think is brilliant! Once I pulled up to MKP waxing studio I was relieved because I did pass it a couple of times, and if you're not paying attention you will too. MKP is located right behind the pharmacy on the corner (I can't remember if it's CVS or Rite Aid) but it's one em. When I walked inside I was greeted by MKP staff with smiles and good energy. Once I signed in there was no wait at all, I immediately went straight to the waxing room (Hallelujah) :) Natasha introduced herself and asked me what my vision was for my eyebrows... I've been to a lot of waxing places and not too many people ask you how you want your eyebrows, they just assume. So I really appreciated the fact that she took the time out to ask. Once she started it waxing it didn't hurt much at all and she was done within 15mins. When I looked at my eyebrows in the mirror I knew that I had found my permanent eyebrow lady in Columbus. She did not play with these eyebrows she slayed these eyebrows. read more

MKP Waxing Salon - Waxing Near Me - Columbus, Georgia

This place is great! Black-owned and woman-owned and they do such a wonderful job with the Brazilian wax(sugaring). I have zero complaints about the service and my waxer was so nice!! I do have an issue with making appointments. They are booked out so far, I can't even make my wax a 5 week routine like I'm used to. It got pushed to 7weeks and I had to cancel, but now I'm not able to get another appointment for two months!!!! I'm new to Columbus and this is the closest decent place to me, but I can't depend on them to get me right when I need them to. So unfortunately, I'll have to look elsewhere because they basically have too many customers. I guess this is one of those places you should have a backup cause they don't have your back here. But again, the service is great, the atmosphere is relaxing and you'll leave satisfied. If you can ever get an appointment read more

I went when I first got in town. Called same day appointments available. No problems quick friendly easy. My brows were perfectly cleaned up how I liked them. Called back this morning for my second appointment now that I finally have time to go with my schedule and now I need to leave a reservation fee. I'm a person if that's what needed fine ask me the first time. I don't like feeling like every time I go some where they have new rules all of a sudden. I appreciate consistency in a business. They said it was a established rule but it's only enforced with certain people. I don't like feeling like I'm being tricked. I will not be returning Natasha. I've found a new salon that takes walk ins. It was shady on the phone. She told me two different prices for my reservation fee. When I asked why I needed to give one this time she asked if it was internet or phone. If I make it on the internet are you not going to charge me then? How is that fair. When I go to your website my desired employee is booked till the second week of sept. But when I called she had same day appointments. Everything about the phone call and the way it was handle rubbed me the wrong way. read more

I have always enjoyed going to MKP waxing salon. It is a friendly establishment. All of the wax artists are exceptional. And it is a black owned business. Which I love to patronize. However, the revolving door of receptionist, each more incompetent than the last has completely turned me off. read more

I have been going to Natasha for 2 years and I love her professionalism and upbeat personality. I would definitely recommend her business/service to anyone. read more

MKP is a great salon with a great setup. I walked in on "Walk In Wednesday" and was immediately greeted. I signed in and sat down. The estheticians were very orchestrated and timely and my wait time wasn't long. Natasha, the owner waxed me in a very timely manner. The wax wasn't too hot and her conversation is great. We were done in no time! I also like that she offers before & after care products for clients. I can't wait to return soon! read more

So this is my 2nd time coming here and Michelle did my Brazilian both times. She's quick and the pain is almost none existent. I absolutely love her. This is my go to waxing salon from now on... read more

First time @ MKP and it was a great experience! Very professional, friendly and speedy service. I'll be back in 4 weeks.

Great experience. I went to their re-brand opening yesterday and it was amazing. Good energy and good times

MKP is absolutely fantastic. Been visiting regularly since moving to the area and can't possibly say enough about the professionalism, expertise and general comfort these ladies provide! Trust me. They're the best! read more

I chose this place from yelp. And was so happy to have found them. They were able to get me in with little to no wait . You get to pull a prize on after visits or at least I did on the special days I came in. The pricing was a little bit expensive . But it was well worth it. I'm not from the area and I have very sensitive skin. Their products didn't irritate me at all. I believe I had tirena . She was fabulous . Very gentle and patient . All of the staff is friendly . They go out of their way to help you relax . If I'm ever in the area I'll read more

SUGAR WAXING IS THE BOMB!!!! Second visit at MKP and first time getting that service and LOVED IT! Terandis was great with explaining and answering all my questions. She even introduced me to the eyebrow tinting and OMG LOVED IT!! I don't think it's nothing I won't love from them!! read more

I got a full Brazilian here a couple weeks ago. The ladies were nice. The facility was nice as well. My only negative take away was they charge $5 extra for the happy trail. I hate to be that person, but in all my years of getting waxing services all over Georgia no spa/salon has ever charged me extra because it's included. That's the point of it being a FULL Brazilian. Nothing too horrendous just something that was really irritating when I didn't know about it before hand and I'm already paying $65. read more

I absolutely love the level attentiveness in any service given at this salon. The entire staff is awesome and I highly recommend to anyone looking for any type of waxing need. You name it they can wax it!! read more

Wonderful waxing salon! Everything from the cleanness, customer services, expertise and fabulous products.

Amazing people here. All the staff is great and the owner is such a doll and knowledgeable. I'm glad I randomly found them when I was researching sugaring. The only place I trust for my sugaring. read more

I had my first Brazilian with Michelle and she was amazing!! Brazilians come with discomfort but Michelle was great at making it as minimal as possible, as well as being super pleasant throughout. I will definitely be back! read more

MKP is great! Fast and friendly service. Fair pricing. I definitely trust these girls!

I've lived in plenty of big cities, spa destinations, and resort towns from Beverly Hills to Hilton Head, and this was hands down the best, most PAINLESS wax I've ever had. The esthetician was both friendly and efficient and the salon was clean. Will most definitely be coming back to this salon read more

The salon is beautiful and clean. Staff is super friendly. Went and got my eyebrows wax and tinted and upper lip wax. I love that the staff took the time to shape my eyebrows instead of rushing through it. I felt like they really cared about my experience. I would highly recommend the salon and consider their other services! read more

Terrible hiring experience. I was recently welcomed to the team and eager to start. I agreed to come another day for paperwork. That day came and went. The following day I get a call saying my offer was revoked. Reasons being: the boss did not like that I asked questions about job details to get clarity... nor did she like my appearance. I thought I was being pranked. Prior to this, I was given warm smiles and had no idea where that came from. I was treated unfairly and they came up with ridiculous reasons to discard me before even getting started. I hope no other potential candidate goes through that type of cold, unprofessional situation. This goes beyond employment, safe to say they lost my respect as a future customer. read more

I have been here a couple time for a wax and while the service was amazing, it's near impossible to get in for another appointment if you want to stay on a regular 5 week waxing schedule. I just called and was told they are booked out until October. It's great that they are busy but the common theme is that it's a struggle to get appointments. If you have a busy schedule and want to keep up on your wax, it may be best to look elsewhere! I haven't been back since my first two waxes. This is pretty disappointing especially since I enjoy going there. read more

First time at MKP, I will not be going anywhere else for waxing from now on! Michelle was awesome! She took the time to explain everything and make sure I was good. Getting your kitty waxed can be painful, I was really anxious and not looking forward to it at all. But Michelle did an amazing job and it was the least painless it's ever been. My eyebrows also look great now! This place is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The staff was friendly and made me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend MKP to anyone who has any waxing needs! read more

Natasha is a miracle worker!! After years of going to nail salons to get my eyebrows done, my tails were practically non existent from over waxing. I was considering microblading, but after a year of going to Natasha exclusively my eyebrows are completely grown back in! Very nice place, a little hard to find if you're not from here. The signage in the outside of the salon is different than the lettering on the website. Small sign too. The service however was great. The girl was very thorough, you could tell she knew what she was doing and trained well. The service is a bit expensive but with only three salons in town it's understandable. read more

Today I had an appointment at MKP. I was greeted before I even walked in the door by the receptionist Kionna. She opened the door for me. Offered me something to drink. Asked me if I needed anything made me feel so welcomed. I also was greeted by the wax artist there. I felt so welcomed. It was the best experience I had. It was such a warm and friendly environment. It felt like I knew them all for years. They are all so friendly. I felt welcomed from the time I walked in until the time I left. 100000/10 recommend. I would definitely tell all my friends to come. The wax artist I had was amazing. I just know the rest of the artist are. Best ran establishment. I will definitely come back. Thank you MKP. I would never go to another salon. read more

My husband got a bro-zillian by Natasha and he said she made an otherwise scary experience bearable. He said she was very friendly, very knowledgeable and very good at what she does. He walked in so scared of being waxed and walked out saying it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. It's very affordable here and they have a military discount. He'd go back in heartbeat. read more

I have been going to MKP waxing for almost a year now. The staff and the atmosphere is totally awesome. MKP has a warm professional friendly atmosphere. Natasha is so warm and friendly. She treats you like you are truly family. I highly recommend this place. read more

I LOVE MKP/Natasha!!!! I was a first time waxer, brazillian, and found MKP here on Yelp, so I didn't exactly know what to expect, was a bit nervous it would be awkward and painful.. My experience was NONE OF THE ABOVE, this salon and Natasha the owner are upove and beyond amazing! Cute little place, and Natasha just has a warm sweet personality, very professional but so friendly and really gets to know her customers and treats them like close friends, this is a woman that values your business and her customers! So by time I went in the room my fear of awkwardness was out the window, the waxing it's self was surprisingly nearly painless certain tender spots , and of course everyone is different but I don't know if I would consider myself to have a high pain tolerance ANYWAY, Natasha chit chats with you throughout the process so distraction is nice (it was literally done before I knew it) but I am a talker anyway, some people may not be so comfortable. On my 2nd visit (I've only had 2 so far), p.s. the wax last awhile, second appointment was exacyly a month later, but Natasha remembered me and what we talked about last time asked me how I liked my brazillian which I proudly exclaimed how much I loved it but still had some ingrown hairs, she instantly offered advice and said today we'd do something different and instead of wax she "sugared me" which admittedly was a little more painful but no where near unbearable, we again chit chated through the process and when it was all done she suggested me some of the ingrown hair balm which they sell in store and a sugar scrub I bought the balm and tomorrow will be 2 weeks since the day of my 2nd wax and I'm stll smooth and bump (ingrown hair) free! could not be more satisfied with this lovely lady and her adorable waxing salon, I mean when I say Natasha is a sweet heart I do not exaggerate! oh , and since I didn't touch on it too much, she also does a wonderful job with brazillian wax I told her my first time I wanted nothing at all left and she fulfilled! not a hair left in sight, I'm sure we all have our reasons for waxing but I will never go back I feel so clean and yes of course sexy! Thank you a million Natasha and MKP! read more

I was a "virgin" a this "Brazilian Waxing" thing, but not any more. I had a wonderful young lady who's name is Stephanie. She was very polite and reassuring for a scared thru and thru person such as myself. She put me at ease, coached me thru the entire process. The end results were, shall I say, "smooth as a babies bottom". Now, I'm not going to lie, there is some pain, but if you ever had a tattoo or body piercing, you'll be just fine. I think I'll do it again but this time it's going to be me and "Jose' Cuervo".. read more

This was probably the best waxing I ever had on my life!!! I was new to the sugar wax and I thought it was great! Then she was fast efficient friendly and very attentive... Natasha made me feel comfortable in such a weird situation to me I never felt comfortable getting a wax but she did amazing and she also recommended how often I should come to keep up! I enjoyed my service here and she will forever have a customer... everything about this place is amazing!!! Also it was the most painless experience I ever had in my life!!!! read more

Omg! This place is awesome! I have been to a countless number of salons/spas etc to have my eyebrows waxed and not once did I have an experience as awesome as I just did at MKP! The salon is very clean, the staff is incredibly professional and polite and most of all they did an AWESOME job at waxing my brows. You can tell the ladies are very experienced and know how to help you achieve a perfect, equal shape. Also, I have super sensitive skin and had no problems at all with their wax, which is pretty much unheard of for me. Last but certainly not least, it was an almost 100% pain free experience and felt wayyyyy less uncomfortable than when I normally get my brows waxed. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again MKP! read more

Forgive me for my late review...busy with work and traveling. I had the pleasure of meeting Natasha for a Brazilian waxing. I researched Natasha prior to my arrival to Columbus. I chose her because of the positive comments her past customers wrote about her. The service I received was phenomenal!! If I am ever back in the area I will definitely stop by. read more
