I've been to the OC and San Diego branches in California so of course I had to stop by this Miami one too after finding out they got a location here! I was actually here for the shop next door Sanguich and saw it was in the same plaza so decided to stop by and grab a cheese and bean burrito and some churros. The burrito came out super hot and tasty and I love their unlimited sauce bar. Our cashier was super nice as well. Yummy just that they forgot our churros so minus a star. Otherwise very spacious but parkings a pain Update; went in the next day and explained how the churros were missed and the man at the cashier was very nice about it and added it for us and even gave us an extra soda on the house! Really affirmed that this place makes good food and makes sure their customers are happy. Will be coming back love yall! read more

I felt like I was eating in Mexico! The food was great! We had chips and guac, asada, fish, shrimp and mushroom tacos. They don't have birria The flavor was good, it was fast and the size is just perfect. I ordered a quesadilla to go and it was huge. The ambiance is like a mexican tienda, with the tables and chairs like in the plaza. And the service was fast, and good. Great place to grab food after work. read more

Definitely the best Mexican food in Miami! I've been to the wynwood location and tried out the 8th street location recently. We went on a Friday night, so there was unfortunately a line. The parking situation isn't the best unless you're lucky (like us) and someone left their spot as we pulled into the parking lot. The food is consistent with their other locations and genuinely the best Mexican food. Inside there's lots of seating and the service is great but sometimes slow. read more

Tacos have always been a hit or miss for me. Usually a miss and The Taco Stand is not the exception. I ordered the Carne Asada, Pollo Asado and the Nopal taco. When I got them, I first noticed how un presentable it was. I like how they pinch the bottom but the down side is that all the filling is then pushed to the top which makes messy when trying to eat. The flavor was decent, I wouldn't say it was delicious but it was alright. My major con is the lack of seasoning, everything felt under season. The Taco Stand is fast casual, so you order in the front and wait for them to call your name. The service was friendly but since it's fast casual you usually don't interact much with the employees. Next time I go I'll try something else from their menu. read more

I came here for dinner the last taco Thursday while in the Little Havana area. I've been to their Wynwood location more than a couple of times in fact that they make their tacos and burritos fresh to order. Yes, that means you're going to wait a little bit! This last visit, I started with the bucket of chips and saturated it with fresh pico de gallo from the salsa bar. They have eight different salsas to choose from. The chips were crispy perfect to snack on. My very large burrito was full of fresh, rotisserie style chicken, very flavorful and a good balance of the other toppings. Good burritos but when you order uber eats they charge you .50 cents for the various hot sauces and they NEVER deliver the hot sauce. They always forget to pack it. Which is really annoying when you're paying a lot of money and looking forward to a burrito and they dont include sauce. read more

The Taco Stand in Wynwood is one of my favorite taco places in Miami and this location delivers the same fresh, made to order quality food without the hassle of going to Wynwood. The times I have been to this location there hasn't been a very long line and there is ample seating. Since the food is still made to order, you do have to wait a bit for your food still, but it's worth it! My all time favorite is the El Pastor. read more

I'm from California and didn't think I'd find Mexican food that spoke to my soul. While it's not 100% N California Mexican- it definitely works! First day I had the California burrito- full of chicken, fries, sour cream ands other delicious things. Second time- I brought my friends from the UK. They never tasted anything so delicious. Clearly they never had real Mexican food before.. which made me sad. They'd been missing out! So glad I was able to bring them to The Taco Stand! One ordered Mar&Tierra fries- she RAVED about it. Myself and another friend kept getting food from her plate. I ordered Baja and tacos- delicious! My other friend ordered asada tacos and churros- she loved everything!!! We went back the next day! By far the best taco place outside of Mexico City and in Miami. Place was styled after places in Mexico, simple but efficient. Staff was very friendly and calls out to let you know when your order is ready for pickup. Tacos, corn and guacamole were all fresh and delicious and I was happy about the mushroom tacos and burritos. Nice selection of cervezas and amazing michelada! Only thing I could think to improve it would be if more vegetarian options were offered and if there was outdoor seating, as the AC was set so high it made sitting inside too long uncomfortable. read more

Excellent tacos. Large seating. Fun atmosphere. The tacos here are delicious! I particularly enjoyed the Camaron and Sonora tacos. The Camaron tacos (Shrimp) was flavorful, and loaded with Avocado,cheese, cabbage, toppings, and sauces. The Sonora was a steak tacos loaded with cheese, beans, Avocado, guacamole, onions and cilantro. The Pollo asada and the loaded fries were also a hit. What makes these tacos flavorful are the fluffy corn tortillas and they are served fully loaded. Most places only give you onions and cilantro. Taco stand gives you the works!! This is an amazing place to get a taco. The lines are long. The establishment is kept clean. You usually share a table. The food is fresh. Everything is made to order. I don't think there is a bad thing on the menu they have lots of vegetarian options. I like a nopales taco a Mar y Tierra taco and a Pescado burrito. That covers the whole gamut of yummyness. Found this place on vaca that is open late night. They fry fresh churros to order that were an amazing way to end the meal. The star is the salsa bar with over 6+ free salsa options and fresh toppings like pickled onions, pico, creamy avocado sauce etc. food is fresh and cooked to order. Must eat fast because the cold toppings cool the food down quickly. Very clean inside and was full for a 1am meal. (Bonus - they have a location in Dallas as well) read more

Pretty good spot for tacos. I ordered delivery which probably isn't the best for tacos but after a quick air fry they were good! The chips were so crunchy and perfectly salted and the guac was fresh. Absolutely thought this place was great. You want to come here for the tacos, but other offerings are just as good (burrito, etc). Churros were tasty. They offer quite a few selections of tacos and they are pretty packed for the price. I found the burritos to be huge. If you are a moderate eater than 2-3 tacos should do the trick, or just one burrito. They have a salsa station that offers sauces that go from girl scout to a taste of Satan's hometown. Tables scattered through out, plenty of napkins (you'll need them) and a good amount of parking, either in their lot or street. Open late on weekends. I had the mushroom tacos with avocado and though they were impressive. The burrito which doubles up as a football was also very good. So much for just about everyone and worth your attention. read more

I had the shrimp taco and mushroom taco and they were the best tacos I've had in a long while. The music selection was also 10/10 with some banging salsa oldies. Amazing little hole in the wall! We came in here right after the airport. We were going to another restaurant next door but decided to also try out their tacos. We grabbed a beer and their tacos were amazing!!! I can usually tell if a restaurant is good just by trying out their guacamole and chips and they did not disappoint! My daughter and I finished them all. They also have excellent service and the place is clean! Will be back when I'm back in Miami!!! read more

Fresh and Made to Order is what stood out most from The Taco Stand. My understanding is the original Taco Stand is in Wynwood and this is their second location on Calle Ocho. But it's my first time trying them all together. I came for dinner and parking was pretty easy as they had the lot to themselves as all the other businesses were closed. Inside is spacious enough that seating was relatively easy but it looks like it can get packed. Menu was simple enough with your selection of Tacos and Burritos for the most part. They also had a nice assortment of ice cold beers. We ordered the Baja fish taco (battered/fried), the Pescado fish taco (grilled), the Carne Asada taco and the Quesadilla for the little one. We also order the Chips and Guac. As noted at the beginning everything was made to order and felt fresh. The only exception for me was the chips. I felt for the $6 25, the chips were not fresh, overly salty and overall were just skimpy but the guacamole was super fresh and chunky and a nice size portion. So I felt that basically you are paying for the guac. As for the tacos, they were all really good. The fried fish in the Baja taco felt a little overly battered. The ratio of batter to fish felt unbalanced. But the freshness of the cilantro, onions, cabbage and tomatoes complimented the fish and Carne Asada perfectly. My kid loved his quesadilla. It was a nice sized portion. For dessert we had to try the Churros (again made to order) and they were a really good way to end the night on a sweet note. The condensed milk dipping sauce was almost not even needed because they are delicious by themselves but if you need that extra sugar spike then indulge away. As we sat there eating we noticed the line never stopped. And between to go orders and sit down orders they were non stop. I think its a testament to the quality of the food and to some extent the value. Because although the tacos were a decent size the burritos looked massive and on my next visit might be the way to go. So definitely give The Taco Stand a try if you are in the mood for fresh and made to order tacos and burritos. read more

We have been going to Taco Stand at least once per week for the past few months and can't get enough of their California burrito! I only wish they had one closer to Brickell so we don't have do drive (however, parking is free)! Grilled corn is also excellent. Highly recommend! read more

Sadly this spot disappointed after not coming here for maybe a month I show up and get the side of meat turns out they almost doubled the price for it?? Maybe just maybe the new cashier tapped the wrong button because that seems weird it used to be 4.99 now it's 7.49 I mean I didn't see anything else price change.. They also are cutting all the meat on these awful plastic cutting boards that get microplastics into the food so I'm gonna say farewell to this place even if they give me a discount, I just can't anymore here. Sometimes places have this type of spunky energy when they first open but now that it's been over a year now or more it's loosing that energy and it suck's. This place was awesome. If they fix that side of meat or make the portion bigger I might consider coming back and I know I've spent over $1k in food here. I waited for my order and the side of meat was not even a full container usually they do two scoops and it fills it up this looks like one scoop. I'm out of here. Some of the best tacos we've had in South Florida! The tortillas are homemade, don't fall apart, and the meat is not greasy!! I also appreciate that you get a lot of meat inside the tortilla. This place is also really cute, and has a clean bathroom.
