    Caesar salad with salmon.
    Tanya R.

The Swan is back! I'm a little tardy to the party but I haven't gone to the former Black Swan since it re-opened under its current name. This used to be a fave brunch spot of mine but recently, I saw a video online of someone enjoying the most fabulous looking salad. I just had to have one, so yesterday I met up with a girlfriend for that fabulous looking salad and Happy Hour cocktails. We started by sitting at the bar. Our lovely Irish bartender was super cool, and she made our sugar rimmed Margaritas just right! After some time, we sat at one of the beautiful, Gothic looking booths and I ordered a kale Caesar salad with broiled salmon. It was perfect. The kale leaves were fresh and crispy. The shaved parmesan was delicious and the salmon was sooo tasty. Skinless and with no fishy taste, seared until almost crispy just like I requested. I'm really happy that The Swan is up and running. Now I've got another solid Happy Hour spot to add to my list.

This used to be another spot, The Swan moved in and did the remix. This is a friendly after work spot located in Bed-Stuy. TV's are everywhere, it was soccer on tonight and the bar was going wild. The drinks are top shelf and flowing, the prices are affordable, and this bartender will mix whatever you desire. I was invited here for after work drinks and The Swan did not disappoint. The service is friendly, the bartender is attentive, and there's a wonderful seating area in the back yard if the bar scene is not for you. I had Espolòn Tequila and pineapple juice which was s tasty and not too sweet. The shots of Espolòn Tequila made my night. I like my wings HOT. The hot wings with cayenne based sauce and ranch were definitely worth the trip. Come out and enjoy the casual atmosphere on any night, seating also available out front. The after work prices are available on Saturdays and wait for it... they have alcoholic smoothies (did I say that correctly?) Come thru support local business.

The chicken sandwich was absolutely flavorful and exactly what I needed.

Great restaurant and sports bar in bedstuy. Beautiful decor with televisions throughout to watch your favorite sport (soccer, football, basketball ball... they have it all!) They have Taco Tuesdays so if you love sports and Tacos, Tuesday is your day! I enjoyed the ambiance. It's perfect for drinks with friends or a casual date. Beautiful decor and lighting and it wasn't too loud so you wouldn't have to speak loudly to be heard. Service was also quick and friendly. I'd definitely be returning soon. *Not 100% sure but i believe this establishment was previously called Black Swan. I think it's under new management and I like this version! A LOT! Give it a try.

The carbonara is great! Liked the chili and wings, too. And can't go wrong with pub fries. The waiter was nice, too. Much bigger inside than it looks! So nice to eat in a bar that doesn't smell like stale beer.

Martin builds some of the best cocktails I've tasted in this area and the steak was great. (Kudos to the chef) Loved the ambiance and location as well.

As someone who has come to this bar regularly to watch Knicks playoff games, I can confidently say…read moreI will never return after what happened during the NBA Finals last night. What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks

Service: 5/5 There was only one waitress and one bartender at the time, but service was very quick. We did not have to wait for anything. Ambiance: 5/5 We were looking for a sports bar to eat at before going to the Nets game. Fulton Hall is only few minutes walk from Barclays. One would…read morethink that by now the establishment would employ individuals who understood and appreciated the people of this community. One of the things I enjoy most about living in this neighborhood is that when people frequent these specific establishments, often times they're coming in for fellowship and connection. Last night, my friend and I walked in to the ale house and went straight to the back to use the restroom. When we walked in we didn't see anyone at the door and it was rather late at night, but we walked in quietly and fully expected to purchase something from the bar in order to use the restroom. In fact, I was standing by the bar with my friend when she went to use the restroom. When she tried to go in, a middle-age woman with glasses and blonde hair, proceeded to put her physical body between my friend and the bathroom. The employee escalated the situation incredibly quickly and did not start by explaining that we had to purchase something in order to use the bathroom. It was only when I noticed the commotion and went to the bathroom and asked the worker to bring down her voice, to understand that we were not here to start any trouble, and that in order for us to move forward, we need her to calm down and de-escalate. It was then that she said that there is a sign that says only customers can use the restroom. To which I said that is fine. I can buy a beer and I will buy a beer for my friend to use the restroom, but it doesn't make any sense for you to treat people this way. We are grown adults, we did not see the sign initially, but to be treated in that way without any explanation at first was disheartening, hurtful, and disrespectful. The bartender apologized profusely for the employee's actions and explained that she had had a rough morning. To which I said, she should've been sent home when you noticed that she was not having a good day. We all have bad days, we all are human, but this is yet another example of people minding their business, not trying to start any issues and other individuals assuming the worse and bringing unnecessary anger, fear, and anxiety to a situation. I also went to share that I had noticed that before the woman proceeded to block the bathroom, she had approached two black men sitting at the bar and then pointed towards us. As I exited the bar, I asked them. What did she say to you because I find it very interesting that she approached you and then proceeded to act in the way that she acted. To which one of the gentlemen said, "Because of other incidents, she told she told us to be alert and to keep an eye on you." My question is, is this something that is said to every patron that enters the Fulton ale house. Lastly, I didn't start with this, but I'll note that one of the last things I said to the bartender was this was particularly hurtful because this event was carried out by a white woman, who asked two black men to essentially "police" two black women on Juneteenth! To the management of Fulton Ale House, I don't want a response because I don't want to hear excuses...I just need you all to do better. Peace!
