I LOVE this place. A huge variety of food, my biggest problem is always deciding. The delivery is so fast, usually in 20 minutes or less. I'm not a huge fan of their sushi, but the Thai and Chinese dishes have been fantastic. the Thai curry fried rice is a huge portion - it was dinner and 2 lunches. I think I have just dealt with the straw that broke the camel's back. I gave this place chances time and time and time again. Been going there for nearly 15+ years and then this crap happens. I ordered at about 7:12 getting a time frame of 7:55-8:07. I gave until 8:25 before I politely called asking what was going on only to be told "Oh yeah he's on his way" I said okay and hung up. Not even 5 minutes later I get a call back being told this was for the Eatontown location not them...despite the address clearly being Matawan. I argue with the person until she yells at me telling me not to shout out her and that she can't deliver to Staten Island...I'm in Keansburg, NJ not Staten Island and have ordered from them for OVER 15 years, making orders almost 1-2 times a month well over 70-80 dollars. I demand to get the manager on the phone, who after I argue my way, says he'll give me 20% discount (he gave me less which isn't the case here) and that he would expedite and send someone over right away. Over an hour later I got my food...2 hours of just being dodged and thrown around with no real idea of what happened to my order.... I'm done with Sultan Wok. First time we ordered from here and got delivery. Arrived in about 45 minutes but considering the distance from my house I'd say it's normal. Overall I found the food to be tasty. We got veggie fried rice, egg roll, soup and broccoli with garlic sauce. It wasnt expecting much considering the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We usually order from around the corner but they don't offer delivery and we found this to be more convenient. Will order again! read more

Overpriced and consistently average, my last straw was tonight. I ordered delivery and tacked on a $4.45 tip to bring my total to $51.00, which I handed to the delivery guy in cash. For some reason, he thinks that $51.00 is only the food total and that I'm stiffing him on the tip. He refuses to leave my porch. I even show him on the order receipt where the food total and the tip are. Still refuses to leave my porch. I slam the door in his face and he proceeds to sit in his car in front of my address. I had to call the manager to convince this lunatic that he had in fact been tipped and to leave my property before I called the police. Ordered delivery today after receiving an email earlier saying Sultan Wok was open. After waiting 1 1/2 hours i called only to get a bust signal. I than emailed them. Still nothing. 2 hours later the driver called and he was down the street. The food was cold and gross. A simple phone call explaining they would be late would have helped, but nothing. Credit card identity theft. I've posted in tips but let me do it again. Don't go there. I bought food here yesterday using my credit card, and today my credit card got used online for over $300 of stuff, certainly not by me. I haven't used this card for a few months (all transactions I've made were very clean: if not my company's cafe than it's the Wawa gas station I've been using for 2 years), so I am pretty sure it is this f* restaurant. Don't go. Adding here: I decided to post anonymously in case that it's their staff who's doing this. However I just read a post under another Sultan Wok chain, saying he's experienced the same thing and got a reply from the Chain that their website was HACKED and all credit card information has leaked. First of all, the people are rude that take your order... like they are annoyed, and are doing you a favor. Secondly, I HATE when a restaurant nickels and dimes you for every little thing. One of the better takeout joints in the area. I don't know why their actual restaurant section closed years ago, but the food is definitely good enough to have kept it open. The tea was good, but too much sugar was added to it. the price was good, $3 for 16 oz is a great price, considering I've paid upwards for $6 for around the same size. I don't normally post reviews but decided I had to post one for Sultans Wok in Matawan. I'm very surprised to see they have so few stars. I order from them once every two weeks, if not more. I always really like the food. Delivery is on time, very quick, every single time. A typical order might be the steamed chicken and dumpling appetizer with chicken and broccoli or beef on a stick app then a lo mein and fried rice. Apparently my old address was given which was weird to me. It may be because of when I signed in, it erased the address I put and put my old saved address. 40 minutes later, still nothing even when I gave the correct address over the phone. I've never really had a bad meal from this place, but after reading the reviews I understand why this place wouldn't be your cup of tea. I'd say 95% of the time they get my order to me within a half hour unless it's bad weather or something it takes a bit longer and it's usually nice and hot. I wouldn't say the cuisine is the best thing I've had, but it's very tasty. Typical run of the mill Chinese food you'd come to expect, and portions are good. Depending on who's working, the take out containers could be over a pint or quart and they'd have to staple it shut. Sometimes though the food is way too greasy, like I know it's going to be because most of the stuff is fried but when it's sitting in a pile of grease it's a bit unnerving but you kind of have to expect it. Overall, I've been satisfied so no true complaints I just wish things were slightly more consistent but it's not enough to make me complain read more

We used to order from here ALL and I mean ALL the time. We stopped ordering a few months ago, because each time we ordered it would take forever for the food to get delivered OR the food would be cold or wrong. I decided to give them another chance and placed an order for delivery. NEVER again. 45 minutes after ordering I called they said the order was already sent out. Another 15 minutes later (60 minutes total) I called back and cancelled the order the woman was like "I'm sorry but the kitchen is busy, that's fine send my driver back when he gets there". At this point I had to make something for my kids because they were starving. Another 10 minutes later and the delivery guy shows up anyway. The only thing I feel really bad about was the fact that the delivery guy had the biggest smile on his face when he came to the door and when I sent him away his face just dropped and he looked genuinely sad. Extremely disappointed!! First, they got my order wrong even though I asked gentleman on the phone to repeat & he repeated it correctly yet I received the wrong meal. Secondly, rice was horrible. It was mushy & bland yet everything else was overly salted. They sent us 2 packets of duck sauce with our 4 egg rolls, not enough. They returned with my correct order but insisted that I return the wrong order. As I said, extremely salty & this time my rice was even worse.
