Had the chipotle today. Not worth it. Service still super slow but sandwich came out delicious. There were two others ahead of me and they waited...patiently. Came at 10am. On a Saturday. I wonder what happens when it is super busy?! I wouldn't want to be here when it's busy....

Such a great place to eat a good filling sandwich. The sandwiches are big, the bread so soft. You can taste the good quality. The sandwiches only come whole. I had mines toasted. It had turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, peperoncinis, and avocado. I liked this sandwich shop, I love me a good sandwich. They also have a wall full of different chips to try. The place has street/metered parking but so worth it for a good sandwich.

Bus Driver
Nicholas C.

Second time coming here and trying the Bus Driver this time. The sandwich is so good and makes me wanna try more. The last time I had The Loyal and that was good also. Definitely my favorite lowkey spot that definitely needs more love! The service is a tad slow since the sandwiches get toasted but understandable. While we waited we noticed there's alot of chips to select and the shop itself is nice. Fasho come here when you don't want to wait in line at Little Luccas...

Sandwhich had all the right fittings except the bread it was burnt and hardened. We ordered tater tots and they were over fried to the point you could taste the oil inside it.

The Godfather - made incorrectly and came with ham instead of salami
Jenny O.

It took forever to get these sandwiches! Tried to order ahead of time though the website but as I attempted to place my order, the ordering got turned off. Should have taken that as a sign. So instead we placed our order with my brother in law who was coming over for lunch. He wound up waiting for 48 minutes to get our 4 sandwich order, and he said there weren't even that many sandwiches ahead of our order. He said it seemed to take 5 minutes for them to make each sandwich and part of the problem was the inefficiency of the kitchen setup. He also was not warned about how long the wait would be when he placed his order otherwise he would have gone elsewhere. On top of all that, my sandwich was made incorrectly. I had ordered the Godfather, in part because it included salami, one of my preferred sandwich meats. It won out over the other two sandwiches I had considered since it also had avocado and pesto aioli even though I'm not a big fan of turkey. So when I opened up my sandwich, to my utter disappointment, it came with ham instead of salami. If they were to mess up one of the meats, why not the turkey instead darn it. (The turkey was decent though, better than some other turkey I've had.) I did think the Dutch Crunch bread was pretty good though. It had a nice crunch without tearing up the roof of my mouth. Unfortunately my husband thinks the also messed up his order. He got the Dynamic Duo which was supposed to come with a fiery chipotle aioli but he said there was nothing fiery about it at all (and it's not like he's insensitive to spice). The sandwiches were fine (aside from the incorrectness) but they were definitely not worth the long wait. I feel really bad about picking this place for lunch and having my brother-in-law and his girlfriend wait so long for them. Especially since the point of their visit was to come hang out with my baby (who also needs to nap) so this lengthy wait reduced the amount of time they were able to spend with her. On the positive side, at least the deli felt bad about the long wait and gave us some free popsicles and ice cream sandwiches as an apology. This is probably the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 2.

The Local
Vincent Q.

Sandwich was soo tasty! Ordered "The Local" with the works and will definitely come back when I'm in the area..

Happy to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Clean and good amount of tables to sit and wait. Sandwiches are delicious, large selection of drinks and chips too. I've been here twice and on both visits the service was slow with only two customers ahead of me (24-30min wait to get my 2 sandwiches) But understandable as it seems there is only one person preparing the food. So keep that in mind if you're hangry or in a rush. Next time I'll try calling in my order ahead of time.

Mission Melt (Tuna)
Adali M.

So good! Husband and I tried the Mission Melt and the Godfather. The tuna melt came with avocado, perfectly melted with just the right amount of crunch in the bread. The Godfather was packed with flavor- loved the pesto aoili. Definitely our new lunch spot.

Great choice hands down easy location great service better yet sandwich was superb highly recommend

Turkey on Dutch crunch with "the works" and cheddar cheese. So good!

Honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever head. It was the perfect ratio of veggies to meat and everything tasted so fresh! I happened to come for their grand opening, which means it's only going to get better. The owners were so friendly! Can't wait to come back

Meat ball sub and a three cheese

Great new sub shop at the top of the hill. Fresh and big sandwiches. Friendly service.

I think if you order 4 entrees for a group of 4 (2 dudes/2 gals) you'll leave feeling fully satiated with a little room for dessert. The pineapple in the fried rice adds a nice sweetness to compliment all the other dishes. Pad thai was probably the best I've ever had. A lot of pad thais at different restaurants often are too sweet, or "ketchupy" but Kan Kiin's nailed it. Salt Pork Belly is a great meat choice, probably everyone's favorite that night. Green curry was excellent too. Service was great and restaurant ambience was very clean and modern. Will definitely be back!

The service was on point the whole time, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Food wise, it was a bit of a mix. The matcha pancakes looked amazing and the cream on top was really good, but the pancakes themselves were a little on the dry side. The noodles were actually a pleasant surprise and very different from what I expected but really tasty. The wings were super good too, especially with the sauce on the side so you can control how much you want. The clay pot dish was just okay, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. The highlight for me was definitely the steak and eggs! it was cooked well and probably the most satisfying dish we ordered. Overall, it's a solid spot with great presentation and good service, but the food didn't completely wow me. Not bad at all, just not something I'd go out of my way for but still worth trying at least once.

Ever since one of my old coworkers mentioned how this place was her go-to spot whenever she had cravings for some of her childhood favorites, I had been wanting to come here. I mean, with an endorsement like that, how could I not be intrigued? Of course, it also makes it that much more inexplicable that it's taken me all of these years, especially since I pass by this place all of the time! While their original location isn't all that far away, where Tselogs calls home now is so much more convenient. By comparison, their current space is not only a lot larger, but parking is easier and you don't have to deal with the traffic that can back up on San Pedro. As for the menu, it doesn't seem to have changed much since they moved a few years back, other than perhaps one or two things falling off/getting added on - it's still filled with the same terrific selection of silogs, in a dozen different varieties, along with a slate of appetizers, specialty dishes, daily specials, and desserts. What's more, they even have a full bar with a mix of Filipino inspired cocktails, too! -- COMBINATION SILOG with Lechon Kawali and Bangus This was awesome! I was most excited for the Bangus and it was so good - crispy, flavorful, and nowhere near overcooked. The Lechon Kawali wasn't too bad either, but, as a whole, it was a little fattier than others others I've had in the past. -- COMBINATION SILOG with Sisig and Lumpia Shanghai Not quite as good as I was hoping for, but no less satisfying! While I liked the sisig and how flavorful it was, I would've preferred pork over chicken. As for the Lumpia Shanghai, each piece was fried up perfectly and was fairly plump, but I wish the filling had been more flavorful. Beyond the food, service isn't too shabby either, as the workers are friendly and the kitchen gets orders out relatively fast. However, one thing that I've noticed is that each time we've been here, we've never received the complimentary shrimp chips that so many others seem to get. Not sure if it's only given upon request, the luck of the draw with regards to which worker takes your order, or what, but it's definitely something we couldn't help but notice. Those shrimp chips aside, between how convenient they are and how good the food has been, it's easy to see why my old coworker comes here any time she has a craving for her childhood comfort foods. Plus, even though they don't stay open as late as they used to (I think they used to close at 2am on Fridays and Saturdays?), Tselogs still keeps some relatively friendly late night hours (open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays). Sucks for the late night party crowd, but more than enough for the rest of us!

The ambiance of the cafe was simple, warming and welcoming; a quiet and relaxing vibe. Service overall was great and dish came out decently fast. They cleaned up pretty quickly as well when a table was finished. I wanted something a bit light so I opted for: 1) American Omelette(6.5/10)(~$12) - A decent and light breakfast plate. The omelette was a thin egg omelette a bit of a departure from your usual diner fare. The ham wasn't diced either, it was just 1-2 deli sliced ham placed in between with your choice of cheese(provolone, cheddar or swiss). For sides, you can either get a salad or potatoes. I went with the potatoes and they were grilled really well and seasoned just right. It also came with a sliced wheat bread. It was an okay dish, but if you want something more filling, I would try something else. 2) Drip Coffee(Small)(7/10)($2.75) - Just your usual house coffee. Overall, taste was good without it being overly bitter. A adequate cup of coffee that will wake you up in the morning. Price was very reasonable as well. 3) Pupusas(5.5/10)($4.50) - I ordered a pupusa to go as I wanted to give it a try for lunch. It was an okay pupusa; I ordered the chorizo one....but couldn't really find it in the pupusa when I got home. Just refried beans. It was freshly made though since it took awhile to get it. The pupusas aren't on the menu in the cafe, but it is written on the board outside. It came with a bag of mild salsa and a bag veggies on the side. Overall, I've had better pupusas on the Mission and would skip this. A decent neighborhood spot to grab a quick bite if in the area!
