This place feels like your own private little restaurant. The Strandwich is right next the Silver Strand Beach. It's a great location and the food was very good. It's the perfect proportion after a long walk on the beach. This was my first time here and I came with a friend. She is vegetarian/vegan so she was happy they had something she could also eat on the menu. She got the black bean vegan burger. Everything was great. I could eat a couple more of those now. The Strandwich is right next to the Silver Strand Beach - great central location, nice, professional, attentive service and outstanding food! We ate there twice...once for breakfast and once for lunch. It delivered 5-stars on both occasions. Breakfast: loved their deluxe breakfast burrito with bacon, as well as with sausage, and their eggs were excellent. Lunch: loved the Pastrami sandwich (favorite), tri-tip sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, brussel sprouts, box of fries, as well as their vegetarian sandwich. All were tasty, good amount of meat, and suggest you get a side of slaw and put it on the sandwiches...makes them perfect! We will be back...great food and service. read more

I have never written a bad yelp review because I hate to hurt small businesses. I ordered the Ruben with the "house smoked pastrami" They do not have a smoker on the property so I am not sure if that is true. The sandwiches were pretty much inedible. The meat was 90% fat. Not the delicious melt in your mouth fat. The chewy and gross fat. See photo for reference. The rest of the meat was crunchy like bacon/burnt. Almost zero thousand island dressing and the bread was heated on the grill with butter or oil and it was just soggy a gross. I'm not sure how their other sandwiches are, I can only speak about the Ruben. Sorry to the owner! Just frustrated I spent $40 on sandwiches and my family and I could not enjoy them. read more

Omg Best Breakfast Sandwich I've ever had in my life. I even told the cook that before I left! The brisket with scrambled eggs on a croissant with cheddar cheese. Incredible. And super filling. I saved half for my fiancée and when I picked him up he took a bite and said mmmmm wow. And then he said it was the best breakfast sandwich he ever had and I couldn't believe he said the exact same thing I said and he didn't even know I had just said that!! Joined a group of guys from work one Friday morning for breakfast burritos. It's a very small place and would not be able to seat very many people, but we were the only ones there. Tables were dirty like nobody had cleaned them off after closing the night before. Burritos were AWESOME. It took a considerable amount of time to cook 5 burritos though. Not sure if that was because he just opened and needed time to get up to speed. Got this for breakfast this morning, the customer service was good, he was very friendly and patient with us as we looked through the menu. They have a variety of options for different meats you can get with your breakfast sando! I chose the Brisket option and it did not disappoint, it was filled with a sweet bbq flavoring in which was amazing. My boyfriend grabbed a breakfast burrito with the sausage option. We also picked up a biscuit with gravy and i'm so glad we did because this has to be one of the best ones i've had so far. It was so rich in flavor and creamy, the biscuit was very fluffy and was easy to tear apart. Although we just grabbed from the breakfast menu they do as well have a lunch menu! They have a unique sitting area for guests, they have a table with free "fanzines" as well for you to grab and look at which I thought was cool. Now that we are vaccinated we are trying to support restaurants. The food was absolutely inedible. The burger smelled awful and whatever sauce was on it was sour and unpalatable. The fries were dry and tasted of old oil. I really spit food out. I had to with my first bite. I couldn't risk getting sick. We did not request a refund as we know businesses are struggling. Here in Oxnard on a little vacation we happened upon the Strandwich after the beach. It was 3:02 and they were closing but when they saw us walk up they reopened for us! Which was very nice. So that's the service, but then on top of that the food was excellent, very fresh and imaginative. I had a pastrami sandwich that came exactly as it should with good kraut and good rye bread! Ordered the 'Brussels' side not knowing how that would go, and again very yummy and fresh roasted Brussels sprouts with something cheesy and savory. Glad I found this place on our first day here.
