The venue is absolutely amazing - built with passion, love and amazing craftsmanship. The acoustics…read moreare great, and it's gorgeous to look at. How fabulous it is to have this incredible venue half way between Austin and Houston. Either of those cities would love to Festival Hall within their city limits. But here it is, in rural Round Top. That said, Round Top is a great little city with nice dining options, great antique shops and more. We're really glad we discovered this gem!! They usually feature classical music, but today they invited the Houston Jazz Orchestra, a full 17- piece jazz band, and the first such big band to play at Festival Hall in their 50 year history. They gave a great performance. They were all so very talented and passionate about music. And a film crew was there recording the whole concert, which was interesting to watch. It was open seating. $30 per ticket (reasonable), with no food or drinks allowed or offered in the venue, even at intermission. But that made the intermission shorter. And I wouldn't allow food or drinks in there, either. The entire venue is a work of art. Even the floors are solid wood laid out in a herringbone pattern. They really went all out! We'll monitor their events and we'll be back. We may even bring a few friends with us. What a great place!

We've been going there for over 8 months now. We've attended events very frequently on Saturdays…read moreand some Fridays. Depending on the band that plays it may become very packed. However, there's always parking space, there's always room to dance even though you may bump into people there has never been an issue with anyone in the club. The music is fantastic every time even the DJ. Plenty of restroom stalls & they are clean; staff has been great and nothing but professional every single time we've had interaction. The place has plenty of tables, chairs etc for purchase. Space to walk by the tables maybe limited when it's a packed club but sometimes also has to do with people standing instead of sitting. Every time we've gone the people are there to have fun and dance. Drinks are alright. The bartenders always seem to charge different prices and have had to question that with receipts. You have to be very specific what you want, or you'll get charged for different liquor etc. Everyone seems to get the buckets which are very popular, but the lines at the bar if any are very disorganized when it's full. Overall, it's the best place to have fun and listen to great music!

We continue to give this venue multiple chances, but unfortunately each visit has been more…read moredisappointing than the last. We attended the concert on March 14 and arrived around 9:00 PM. By the time we got there, the staff already seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests. When we checked in, the host noted that our entire party had arrived even though two members of our group were still missing. This later created unnecessary confusion and delays. Organization and communication appear to be major challenges at this location. Initially, my boyfriend and I were told to go ahead and sit down, but we were not given wristbands or any clear direction as to where our table was located. We were confused as to why we had not received wristbands like other guests. Later in the evening, we were asked to return to the front to obtain wristbands, which is when we discovered the host had incorrectly marked our party as complete. It seemed likely that the staff member was overwhelmed and did not fully process what we had explained at check-in. Another ongoing issue is the apparent overselling of tables without adequate space to accommodate them. The layout was so crowded that even the bartenders had difficulty moving between tables. At times, guests were asked to pass buckets and drinks down the line because staff could not easily access certain tables. The people in the VIP area were all complaining about how close the tablets were to each other. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly managed. The artists were great but we felt very uncomfortable seating there the entire time we were there.
