The drinks are fantastic--especially the gin cocktails--and the vibe is always on point. So glad it's around the corner from my mom's place... I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in town!

This place is located in Montgomery technically but is right next to Conroe you can see the lake driving up it was so beautiful. It's a prohibition style speakeasy with the hidden door and the ambiance is so beautiful inside with an amazing bar and just a great vibe. We loved how the waitresses were dressed in dresses from the time it was so classy and fun. And we went on a night they had live music and it was sooo good. Now let's talk about the drinks there were so many choices of cocktails bourbon whiskey you name it. I let the waitress pick mine it was something with pear and it was yummy. We both loved our drinks. My husband loved his old fashion. The food was absolutely delicious we enjoyed the crab toast and lamb lollipop and the Chilean sea bass which were all to die for. Oh and Lavendar creme brûlée for dessert. We met Rob and his wife the owners who are the nicest people and now we can't wait to come back with friends to salsa night. If you're looking for a nice dinner spot with great drinks food and music on certain nights just the best service you have to come try this location you won't be disappointed. It made our anniversary special.

We had been drinking beer, so I stuck to beer except for an old fashioned (which was excellent and used Buffalo Trace). They also have an awesome selection of draft beers. I had a Live Oak Hefeweizen which was excellent. Service was excellent both at the restaurant and the attached pizza area. Since we had been drinking a while, we decided to have pizza at the shop attached to the bar. They have a nice pizza oven and this was excellent. I forget the name, but it has a nice thin crust with great cheese and topped with sausage and mushrooms. It really hit the spot Definitely worth a visit, distinct from many of the other bars around.

I'm not often as impressed as I am by Rough Draught. Awesome, awesome selection. Good people who enjoy talking whiskey. The interior and decoration and walls - it all just GOES. It's perfect. Sadly they were out of a key ingredient or two to make pizza when we were there - during Thanksgiving week, so... not "normal" timing - so we sadly could not try their pizza. But we enjoyed multiple great pours, some good cocktails, great conversation, and exploring all of the details in the decor. A staple for any visit I'll be making to College Station and Aggieland.

If you want a proper cheeseburger, go in the back door, not the front (saloon) doors. If it's gameday, go an hour or two before the game. Order your food at the counter, then proceed out of that room to the back bar. Order a shiner bock to accompany your cheeseburger. Proceed to the back by the pool tables and say hi to the rattlesnake in the far back. Around that time, someone will be calling your name for food. If you've got time to hang out and play pool with some friends, or before a game, grab a pitcher and find a table. Note that this review is for daylight hours only, and the evening (a good time in its own right) is a different experience than covered here. We entered from the campus side and I was embarrassed as to not knowing how to get to the ordering counter (lol) but we eventually made it. My chicken fried chicken sandwhich was decent but it needed some onion or pickle or extra mayo. The onion rings were spectacular! The price point was meh but it now is absolutely paying for the experience. There were ample sports matches on and it was cool to watch USA play Germany in soccer. Incredible staff/service! Will be showing more newcomers The Chicken in the future.
